  1. A colleague at work has just bought an 09 58 plate roadster, seems a popular car It's his mrs car, and she pestered him to get one after lusting after my coupe at the train station every morning , oh the weak willed out there
  2. Hey Richard, a guy from my work was so impressed, I believe he's booked your services for his new car He'll annoy you with a million and one questions , it'll save me a half hour everyday if you answer them
  3. No chance, this is now a club toy
  4. The Injen, apparently require a bit more in the way of modification, something to do with the Yank spec being different from UK spec. Chris I knows more about it, but if I went for an intake it would probably be Stillen Let us know your thoughts on the Berks, I'm guessing you'll be rather impressed
  5. ^^ To sidewysJay, if you're going that way, once you rejoin the Route Napoleon, look at your map/set sat nav for Gourdon, restaurant there called the Eagles Nest (no not Hitlers mountain log cabin ), the best lunch we've ever had in France, ever Google it
  6. I would definatley spend the extra £400-£450 and get the Berks. You've spent alot of money on a quality exhaust and it has not ticked all the boxes for you. I would spend that bit more to gian the sound and throttle response that we all know the 370 needs. +1 I don't know of anyone on here that hasn't had an immediate effect with the Berks What I would say on the Akro, I ran mine for a good few months before fitting the Berks, it does improve with time and a bit of coking(sp?) up and I felt an immediate improvement over stock Berks required mate Neil's gonna buy my intake system for me, so I'll report back when that's fitted
  7. I wish It is stunning but it'll be mobbed, I suppose it's one of those must do roads though A much better and more fulfilling road is The Gorge du Verdun, this is where Clarkson raced the two skinny hippy climbers and tested the RS4, now that is worth it, hit it at the right time, around 6-7ish in the evening, and it's breathtakingly stupendous, even my, normally, speed limiting governor of a mrs, was egging me on Hang a right at Castellane on the Route Napoleon, do the north side, which I thought was the high side, lunch or dinner at Moustier San Marie, then take on the south side You can even do it en route to Stelvio, albeit a longer route, with a quick stopover In Monte Carlo. I guarantee absolute satisfaction, or I'll pay your fuel bill
  8. Couple of series ago, he did a comparison with a 370 and Z4, he actually didn't slate the 370 and was nearly complimentry about the synchro rev. It's on you tube somewhere Sundays episode was the best in about 2 years, lot more about cars and Vettel came across well, good "interview". Shame about the comment at the end, "too many cars, back to normal next week" Interesting that TG's comparison on the McLaren and Ferrari was totally different to that of 5th Gears' Tiff and Plato, and he rate's Tiff's opinion very highly.
  9. I'm surprised they haven't fitted average speed cameras ALA M42 or similar. It's also a pain if you are in the City centre and need to get on it, bit of a faff coming across the Kingston Bridge and not being able to directly access it heading west on M8. That said, it is a fast journey now to Braehead, eh Neil
  10. Personally I think that this should continue by PM or telephone if there's an issue between a trader and admin. It is frustrating when the site goes "down" for whatever reason. I can barely type nevermind offer any constructive suggestions to a fix Do what I do, go to "inprivate browsing" and watch youporn, when the site is having difficulties (well I might as well say this as there are a few members who think I'm a winker ) C'mon guys, play nice
  11. Did it last year in my RX8. It's not the "best driving road in the world" It's a torturous journey up there from the Italian end, and at this time of the year will be full of **** bikers who don't give a f*ck. It is spectacular when you reach the summit. It's a dangerous road on the way up, couple of pitch black tunnels with room for one lane only and blind bends in them. Do it though but be careful, enjoy
  12. Whichever you get, they're all bullet proof
  13. My synchro rev is never off, why have it otherwise I love it under full load Also great to short shift, adds another dimension
  14. I used an open ended spanner, wedged in the brake vents, then used it as an opposing force to torque up the nuts
  15. Points 1-5, couldn't have put it better myself The neighbours will just be impressed, I love the sound on start up, soon settles down though, until you want it again Sometimes it's hard to put across how much better a car with a certain mod performs, I'm glad you've found the same as myself When I'm next going down sarf, I'll give you a shout and we can convoy to Abbey, get the re-maps done As you're a bit closer, I guess you might beat me to it Do you now have a mad grin on every run?
  16. Spotted ya Joe, on my way to work @ 1200 I waved at ya, well I hope it was you Can't be more than two of us with EB 370's in Motherwell
  17. What time we looking at Vik? Need to see where I'm at re ready for my holibags, but might be a nice little stress buster for me
  18. Take the overnight ferry to Santander, wine and dine the Mrs, in the morning when you hit Spain, head west to A Coruna. Beautiful little city and a stunning beach. Take a trip down to Santiago de Compestella, stunning! Head down the Atlantico Highway to Portugal, mooch around there for a few days then head back east for the ferry, you'll go across some stonking Spanish Plain roads that are virtually brand new and for the most part completely empty The reason I'm advocating staying in Spain mostly, is because the fuel is cheaper, the food is cheaper and accommodation is cheaper, along the Costa Verde there's virtually no Brit tourists and some of the villages/towns are superb to stop and have a coffee You can pick up a bit of Tapas and a coffee for little more than a few Euros up this way. You can do similar in France and Italy, but for the most part you need to steer clear of motorways and stick to D routes, try and pick a route that's not on the Brits radar, they love a tourist in rural Spain or France, especially in something that is a bit exotic And whatever you do, stay clear of Pamplona, a complete tourist trap and not particularly nice IMO. Oh and even if you get/have a satnav, get a Michelin Map, they are the best
  19. Its about what you have got not other people, i have had a mate around with 600bhp single Supra so should i count that too? Missed the point here as well, you know, "for a minute there I thought...." The Oban thing What's an Oban Oh never mind
  20. What/where the hell is Oban? Mrs you are either as thick as two short planks and you shouldn't have a licence never mind a car, which I doubt you've got or you are just plain thick!! I'm guessing you're the two short variety. Top tip, stop breeding with relatives.
