Erm, I have no idea who or where this trader is or if the damage that is apparent on your car is caused by "shoddy" workmanship or carelessness, but that is no way to return a car to anyone, regardless of whether it's a replica wing or not. If the "tradesman" who did this job was honest and upfront re the possible outcome to replace the wing, then fair enough, you take your chances, if not then it's a very dissapointing lack of respect, to you firstly. and then to himself for trying to pass this job on as acceptable. It's not acceptable to leave someone's car in this state, then try and charge a further £100 to rectify, that is just downright pis5 taking. As has been muted, if the "Trader" is reputable, then I'm sure he will put it right, if at fault. If not at fault his side of the story would be useful. Either way, there are aspects of this that would make me steer clear of this particular "Trader". I would not accept a job like this, nor sir, would I have paid upfront for a job, a deposit maybe, although I've never had to do this before on a small job, of this size. I sincerely hope that both parties come to an amicable solution

Nice car Good luck with it, I'm sure it'll be fun

Surprised at that, they cover my Akro, Hi Flo's and spacers, @ £90 extra! New docs that came through names the mods, strange that they said they wouldn't cover yours!?! A few years ago I was with Direct Line, they refused point blank to insure the Borla I had on my RX8

Had a google on it and this site looks professional http://www.demondetails.co.uk/galleryas ... inDB9.html, pretty comprehensive site I have no idea how good they are but you could ask for reccommendations on Detailing World

Fortunately no trouser accidents

Totally get where you're coming from, but the odd thing is since I work in an office all week I find being out in the fresh air doing the car quite theraputic! Maybe I'll get fed up with it eventually though! Well it took me years to get fed up I guess I'm just getting too old and my back is fooked It is a gratifying experience to stand back and admire 7/8 hours of work detailing your pride and joy Good luck on the detailing

Am I missing it?, can't see a 370 on there.

I used to enjoy getting in about my car in a detailing sense, now I just can't be bothered, so I decided to have her professionally detailed. Best decision I've made re cleaning Now I just have to give her a wash and dry her off and occaisionally a wipe down with some Do Do Juice Tropical. The detail should last for around 4 months, longer the less I wash it I guess, sooner the more I do, I will, however, get a pre-winter protection detail for peace of mind. The plethera of products and advice is actually mind bogglingly numbing to me, I am lazy though The cost of buying all the materials and time it takes just doesn't make it a worthwhile prospect for me, 1/2 hr wash and dry and Bob's your Aunty, ready for a drive I do admire the guys that spend the time to do it with startlingly fantastic results, but I would rather be at the country pub having lunch than on the drive claying, polishing, waxing and buffing

I can just see the mrs face now, "What are you doing?", "Oh, just building a drive in the livingroom love"

That depends on how long you commute is though doesnt it! After all you have a car - why not use that rather than a packed train Mate, I drive the fechin things, I HAVE to take my car to work, no public transport at 4am! It takes the "cyclist" 3 or 4 times as long to board the train, multiply that by 10 or 15 stations and you have a lot of LATE commuters! It's selfish! If you have a commute of 20 miles and don't have a car, either buy one, as train tickets aren't cheap, cycle ALL the way or move house/job! I take it you read the Metro, the whining about late trains in the "letters" page is unreal. Another thing that pis5es me off is the other set of morons who all stand in a great big bunch, try to all get in the same door, despite there being 12 or 15 doors each side of the train, all because they can't be bothered to walk the length of themselves and want dropped of at the exit/stairs of their terminal station, then moan on train puncuality However we digress, what pee's me off about other drivers is the outright selfishness of 90% of them!
-
That'll not draw any attention eh, probably notice when they come through the living room to the kitchen to put the kettle on though
-
Slightly askew of the topic but pertinent to cyclists, either cycle to work on yer bike or get the train, don't f*ckin cycle to the train station then try to get on a packed commuter train WITH your bike, selfish morons! The train IS environmentaly prudent, twatting your fellow passengers with your bike is not clever No problem with cyclists on the road but 2, 3 or 10 abreast, the hospitals are full of them, bit of panel beating and spray paint for the car, burden to society the cyclists who do the multiple abreast thing and need an amputation or seven

I imagine the 350 is similar to the 370, you need access to the engine compartment to get the cats on or off, requires a couple of pipes from the air box moved, oh and a big mahoosive ramp Be quicker to tow the car off

Where is that "GTR" shop? Might have a browse myself

Beautiful car the G37 No idea what mods will fit, but I'm sure the uprev for the 370 that Abbey do would be compatible, as it's the same engine as a 370. Don't think much of th boot when the roofs down though Love the coupe and its versatility, and the spec is truly outstanding

I am, original plan was end of summer, but my next trip to London won't be till October, I'm "booked" solid until then, when a family birthday at Ascot intervenes (we've got a private box ). So Mark will be getting a call

If these are tarnished, they should be covered by warranty. I'm sure a decent Nissan Performance dealer will sort this out.
