  1. Amazing machine, just gets better and better
  2. Oh I’m with you on the hypocrisy front, the premier league clubs fiasco for instance is galling to the point of being disgusting. I would love to see players being furloughed and getting the government maximum monthly payment, which is probably more than most of the ground staff get anyway (or will get under furlough rules), utterly disgraceful. No need to PM me, there are a lot of people being treated unfairly or are caught in circumstances that don’t fall within the criteria set out. I have a certain amount of empathy towards what those in power are trying to do, it can’t be easy, what I don’t empathise with is the wasted time that they’ve used to gamble with peoples lives for the sake of fiscal security for the ‘haves’ and scant account taken for the ‘have nots’. The ‘have nots’ are a vast proportion of our society, the best outcome of this tragedy will be a bottom up, rethink about how we are governed and how our wealth is distributed. That’s my wish anyway. I can see your point now, but to begin with it was a bit cryptic (to me at least), but again, if we’re to get the likes of those you mention, to share the burden, a complete rethink of this countries wealth distribution needs a rethink
  3. Well, lots of people are victims of something that is unprecedented, that’s for sure, screwed? How so? There are always going to be some that are insulated, that’s not the problem is it though? The problem is the situation we’re in with regards the threat to our WHOLE society. Those that are amongst those that are getting ‘screwed’ have always been screwed, I include the whole of the NHS, the whole of those who are economically stagnant. There are those that prefer to take a dividend and a low wage to avoid paying taxes, who are now getting ‘screwed’, but that’s not the point. The point is, anyone, economically insulated or not, WILL be screwed, if we don’t stop this virulent virus with the means that those in charge give us as a starting point. To punish, those that, AT THE MOMENT are economically insulated to salve a feeling of injustice, pales into something so insignificant, the Hubble telescope couldn’t see it. I gave a homeless person outside Glasgow Central Station £20 that’s been in my wallet because I’ve been using contactless or card payment for a month or so now, because that poor bastart has been inconvenienced by mostly everyone who is economically ‘insulated’, since time in memorial. I still don’t wish the economically ‘insulated’ less of a chance than he’s got. Seems that you might want the economically ‘insulated’ more in tune with his chances? We’re awe in this the ‘gither, hope you and your family come through without too much detriment.
  4. You're not exactly making much sense, to me at least
  5. Ok, once again, geez yer plan? What do you want to happen, what is it that will make it better for you? Is there bitterness towards how you’ve been treated any differently to anyone else? Oh and, am I missing something glaring?
  6. Kieran, are you self isolating in a beverage?
  7. Mostly following up complaints o me posting in Scottish
  8. Are you advocating that everyone that are still working full time or part time, doctors, nurses, supermarket workers, distribution workers, transport workers etc, etc get a 20% wage cut? Are you aware that those furloughed are not working but receiving, up to £2.5k per month for NOT working. I’m honestly not seeing your point, or your brothers glass analogy
  9. 5 mins included 8 stoppages and faffing about fixing my bayonet On an even brighter note, the best thing aboot still working is I get to drive ma ‘Stang tae work every day
  10. @gangzoom and @HEADPHONES I cannot begin to thank you enough for what you and your staff are doing for us all at the moment. The mental health of everyone you’re working with is extremely important, as it is all over the country. My paltry effort of driving trains pales into insignificance compared to what you face day after day. Your whole family and friends will be extremely worried about you every time you walk out your door, I know mine are and I worry sick about my daughter and her husband, both nurses. Ive seen and dealt with quite a few dead bodies in various capacities, it’s never easy and is something that you hope you won’t ever get used to. Its people like you two that keeps me going out the front door to my work everyday
  11. Amazing, me n Lexx got the same numbers after 15 years Just what’s apped ye Lexx
  12. Yer some man Al I knew from the first bumper you removed from my RX8 that you’d make captain buddy . I’ll have a look in a mo for your number, I don’t think mine has changed for that long either! Sadly, I don’t get to go up as far as Aberdeen but what a fantastic and kind offer, mibees if you can, donate it to a local charity that’s struggling . You and your family keep safe mate . (all 36 sets of twins )
  13. I stuck my granddaughters drawing of a rainbow on my window, right in the middle, gave me a boost
  14. Firstly, Lexx a ‘captain’ @gangzoom as the dad of a nurse (so is her husband), I’d like to say a massive thanks for going into work and facing what you have to face on a daily basis Dan, I was a prison officer once, well more than once, CatA, cons will accept most things and mostly are indestructible, until the drugs from the visits dry up I drive trains and today I was in 6 different cabs, after 6 different drivers, with six different families, I’m running out of all ppe, wipes, hand sanitiser, gloves etc but folk need to get to work for much more important work and at more risk than me, so has to be done. I’ve been a soldier and in the past been in Lashkar Gah, Camp Dimond (among many other places) and there was this one time (), we were told that 40,000 Taliban were amassing, ready to bring Armageddon down on us, there were a few gulps, but I thought, “I’ve got 240 rounds of 5.56 for my long barrel, 60 rounds of 9mm for my Glock, that should see me through the first 5 minutes, before I bayonet myself” This Covid is much, much more scarier and I’m afraid for us all, even Boris (who, I wouldn’t sh1t on if he was on fire), you cannot spot or identify this enemy, most of my enemy are ‘friendlies’ but well meaning, but the best friendlies are the ones that stay invisible, stay at home, don’t put our emergency services and I include all shop workers, support workers, transport workers, anyone involved in the logistics of fighting this bastart of a virus, at risk. I’m on a 7 day shift cycle at the mo, just hope I don’t bring anything, other than myself home. Keep it real folks, and if you don’t have to, don’t go out
  15. Erm, last two posts not really upbeat So tomorrow, watching my two grandchildren while their nurse parents struggle on, we’re going to get the eldest (7) to start a diary, historic times and all that, but with the caveat, she needs to start each entry with what happens in her house the night before She’s written a letter to her hero, David Walliams, including her manuscript for a new book by him and all she wants in return is to meet him and get a hug . Think she’s read about seven of his books now, wanting to read them all. This ^ together with his top trump game gets us all through the day, oh I might wash my car, I’ll post pics
  16. Couldn’t agree more. Employers should be offering staggered start times to help
  17. Rest day today and tomorrow and that ^^ about sums up my plans for the next two days . Take the dogs out in a bit, into the now Covid Zombie Land. Then, as last night, I’ll relax in my ‘cigarage lounge’, have a beer and a stogie
  18. Yes, that’ll be the next update, non key workers to stay at home, probably without a clear direction on who is or isn’t key workers
  19. The direction is and I’ve watched his address a few times now is: Stay the f#ck in, in your own time Work from home if you can Only go out when you absolutely need provisions/medicine or medical aid with a minimum of outside exercise. He has NOT told people not to go to work, other than those showing symptoms or have family that are showing symptoms. There is is no ambiguity in that.
  20. Two thirds is probably an understatement, we know for sure that 17 odd million have voted to disadvantage themselves and others. We should be thankful we are still in a ‘transition’ period and Mad Priti Patel’s new immigration laws are not implemented yet. God would need to help us in this scenario if this happened without the army of other nationals labour in the health/care sector. After this is all over, a massive re-think as to how we operate as a society needs a complete overhaul from the most disadvantaged up. Unicorn projects like HS2 should be immediately binned and the money spent on a massive investment to new hospitals, real, not imagined, numbers of nurses, doctors and new hospitals. The drive needs to be to quadruple the critical care beds available, and trained personnel to operate them. When they’re not needed in critical care, the extra personnel should be used to create 20mins waiting time in A&E not as it is at present. The initial amount announced by the chancellor to fight this emergency pales into insignificance compared to what we threw at the banks in 2008 and, as far as I know, none of those gambling bastaards died. I certainly agree with the majority of comments above btw
  21. Myself and three other McMustangers went out today for what was supposed to be a ‘shakedown’ after our winter of modding sprees, pre Spa. The sun was glorious, the Scottish Borders were an awesome sight, roads were mostly empty, we were socially distant, had walkie talkies and had a great laugh. 140 odd miles of absolute bliss. Cars all behaved themselves impeccably, as did we Very uplifting
  22. I’d like to shoot, right in the face, those wankerrs that were filmed in Benidorm the other day, taunting the Spanish police. I’d have zero remorse
  23. Tell them you’re decontaminating
  24. That link didn’t work for me Hugh: screenshot:
