You'll be hard pressed in a Zed to do more than 120 on a track, unless seriously modified. But I understand why you would want to have the restriction removed.

Does that include The Queen, Margaret Thatcher, David Jason, Nigel Lawson, Stuart Hall, Gary Glitter, Pete Townsend, or is the pensioner list selective

Wouldn't ride her into battle! Reasonable chanter though

Italian Lakes are pure "honeymoon" territory, very sedate, can be as cheap or expensive as you like, 11/12 euros for unlimited ferry travel each per day can make for a very relaxing exploring holiday, lots of beautiful lakeside villages to explore and te Alps are not too far away if you get access to a hire car. Your wife will love it

Many moons ago I was caught doing 99.6mph on a motorway, nearly empty, Sunday afternoon, dry and totally in a dwam! I got fined £600 and had 3 penalty points lumped on me. I considered myself lucky! You were unbelievably lucky!! That was in 1996 the day after England beat Scotland in Euro '96, so the date sticks in my mind. A few weeks later, a police car in Aberdeen mounted the kerb, speeding, on a non emergency call and killed two pensioners, the officer that was driving was fined £300 and got 6 points, he didn't even lose his job!! Moral is, speed can kill, but depending who does the killing or the speeding different outcomes are the norm. You got let off, on another day with another cop, you would have been done and had there been a fatality, you would certainly been sent to jail. Count yourself lucky, twice!

Not at Twickenam this year, I'm working today so even watching is not on, set the tivo for all todays matches. Going to Murrayfield on the 09th March to see if we can beat the Welsh, today won't be the day to end our Calcutta Cup drought, but hopefully the signs will be there for a better showing throughout the 6 Nation Championship. A Welsh friend tells me there are only two things wrong with going to Murrayfield for the Scotland match, having to go through Engurland, twice

The tax bands changing has had an effect on new 370's along with the 350 mostly on sale for the boom years, when the crash started and bit there weren't too many people in the market for a 3.7 V6. The fuel accelerator that Brown introduced didn't help. On the plus side, it's quite nice to have such a rare care, see a fair number of 350's but very few 370's, a combination of circumstances as I've said above has contributed to the 370's rarity

You're more than welcome Will So that's you me and glrnet Moss was certainly one of, if not the best driver of all time, the range of cars and types of races he competed in makes him worthy of his knighthood

Not really, but we will certainly be going through Rheims and Champagne country, then heading south onto the Route Napoleon N85 ASAP.

No funnyfrogs allowed, but you can go

Ok, maybe not this year for me, still planning my Cote D'azure trip in August I knew little of this classic race until last year when I watched a programme about the petrol head chef James Martin entering a classic car in this event, it was his long standing dream which for the most part, he realized, his car broke down in the end and he recorded a DNF. Shame really as it was a real personal, in terms of time and money, effort. Anyways, Patrick Stewart ( of Starship Enterprise fame), did a programme shown last night about Stirling Moss (he was some shagger!!), not all but a large chunk of the prog was filmed with the two of them tracing Moss's famous win of the race in 1955, in a classic Merc gullwing. Well, this got me a bit excited (not as much as Sir Stirling when he was with the ladies after a race, but close) and got me thinking about the actual route as a possible Euro road trip , next year. My usual road trip partner in crime has always wanted to travel to the heel of Italy. but I've always argued that it's too far, around a 4k mile round trip, we have done longer ones, but I wasn't enamored with the idea and didn't see it as a meandering type trip. But I may have come up with a compromise, take three overnighters and blast our way down to Brescia, perhaps longer depending on route and, do the Mille Miglia route at a leisurely pace, three or four three night stays along the route then a leisurely plod back to blighty This web site that I found http://www.losapos.com/mille_miglia, gives quite a detailed route for a starter plan, but we would obviously get into more detailed planning later this year. I may not be in a Z by then, equally GTish though, so would welcome comments from any knowledgeable people on places en route worth staying or visiting, that two geriatric, functioning alcoholics might enjoy , or if anyone is brave enough to join us.... Anyways have a look at the link .

Spacers or not, mud guards or not, the sills still get chipped, maybe not to the same extent with as opposed to without. Aesthetically, my preference is with

Worth the wait though

Uprev will help to achieve the figures quoted above, easily on a motorway jaunt, even when you "forget" to check the speedo for small periods of time. Even without UpRev, the stock tuned return good mpg, as per Jays post. The most annoying thing is the low fuel warning light seems to be designed for the litigious American market whereby if you run out of fuel you can sue Nissan for $50million!! Coming back from JapFest last year,I had 375 miles on the trip computer when the light came on, at around the 430 mile mark, my bottle went and I fueled up, I could only get 67 ltr in her!!, so at least 13 ltr left in the tank. I had just had her UpRevved that weekend and was a big run, so it was quite impressive. Don't run on 95, 97 (Sainsbury) minimum but preferably 98 all the time.

It won't do any harm to raise an official complaint, in fact I'm surprised you haven'tdone so already. Get it logged on here as well http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/66736-whos-had-steering-lock-failure-need-for-action/

As the title suggests, anyone with a 370 who's had this can you please put your name down on this list. I believe, from what I've read on here so far that it seems a pretty common fault in the US. But is it a common one on this side of the pond? I believe that it might well be. I know there is a possible preventative fix as listed on another thread and that there are a few who have had this happen to their car, but if there is enough evidence then perhaps it may prompt Nissan to do something about it, if presented in the correct way with perhaps some sort of official (trading standards or similar?) help. This may especially help those who have no warranty left on their car. Can't do any harm. Can you also put down how old the car was when it happened and when it happened, which dealer sorted it and/or what the dealers/Nissan response was. 1. The G Man, MY10 (60 plate), Dec 2012, Parks of Hamilton, fixed under warranty.

I've also had this, so for Nissan to not admit to a serious flaw worthy of a recall is very poor. I was lucky and had the replacement part fitted and the car towed to a NHPC done under warranty, my car is a 60 plate GT pack spec, bought from new. The initial contact with the RAC who were first to be contacted to attend by Nissan was beyond a joke, the only useful thing the fella did was check the oil, FFS!! The subsequent low loader/transporter crew that were then dispatched to my aid were superb and arranged for a transporter that dropped the bed right on the deck and had to still use shallow angle ramps to load my Z due to it being lowered. That wasn't all, all this took about 3 hours to sort out, on a winters eve and when I asked to be dropped off at home, I was told that, with no hint of irony, that they could drop me off at the nearest train station as it was a "one trip only" deal they had with Nissan, It was at my work that this happened and my car was parked on platform 2 Motherwell station!!! The bloke realised what he'd said as soon as he said it They took me home
