You sure you can handle the lack of............decorum

Thanks for the clarification

I don't think so, AFAIA, the 350 ones are a tad cheaper and slightly different.

Car now back to stock, as a result I have a set of these springs for sale. These totally transformed the handling of my car, turned it from a bit 'Merkin, to a car with very, if any, roll, superb mod. £200 + P+P

Car now returned to stock, as a result I have one of these exhausts for sale. One of the few TRUE DUAL catbacks. The sound from this, which other members will verify, is awesome. They're not slower, in a straight line or round a track, well the one that was at the RAF Valley track day a few years ago driven by a friend on semi slicks was slower and he was on the limit, I never even turned my traction control off either Oh it was the 300RS not the 500, but I dare say some super tuned modded ones are and feel faster, but definitely not stock. On pass laps with him, I was impressed with the handling for a FWD vehicle though, some very clever stuff Ford managed on the front set up, but never felt overwhelmed by the speed

Don't miss out on the Gorge du Verdun, if you hit it at the right time of day, coming up from Monaco, around 5-6ish, when most are off the roads for tea, it's a belter. You might recognise it from when Top Gear test drove the Audi RS4 and raced the two free climbers up a cliff face. We've stayed there on Lac sur Mer, close to Moustiere St Marie (beautiful village) The Italian Lakes are gorgeous, and offer a not to far drive to Stelvio, also take in Livorgno (tax free haven). On the Stelvio, watch out for bikers, they don't seem to give a f%*k about cars, from the Italian side it's a pretty hairy drive up! Good luck, hope all goes well

Problem is Jay, German starts at 49k without any options added, from new of course, well the German one i'm thinking about and nearer 57k for the right spec
-
Probably, they are a genuine 370 option from new, not an aftermarket add on. They are very nice, day or night, nothing "tacky" just right. The 370 doesn't have an enormous options list, sill plates, mud guards, metallic paint that's about it for a GT spec'd model, which most are

Was on Exercise in the Brecon Beacons not long after seeing this, @*!# myself a couple of times when strange noises came from the woods in the dark, and I'm not talking about the baby Para's that were being the "enemy" forces

Inglorious Basterds is right up there with Tarentino's best, looking forward to Django on Blu Ray, I think the cinema is a sleep inducing place and much prefer home cinema.

Wouldn't be cool getting stuck on a slippery slipway with your rear wheel, 325bhp sports car

And the two that are following this

Pretty rare indeed. Counting yours I've seen 3 including a black one a few days ago on a 12 plate parked in amongst the door banging section of the car park at ASDA and wasn't there a white one on The Wales Run 2011? Pete Drove to London and back a couple of weeks ago, 800 mile round trip, never saw one 350 or 370 . So pretty damn rare. I don't think our recent weather helps though

So car needs a few things to bring it up to scratch and make it safe for an impending journey to York this weekend. Two new rear tyres, check, arrived today just like they said they would. Wipers a bit shagged so, take careful note of the part no from here and decide to visit a dealer that has started selling Nissans and the same one I used for all my servicing needs on my old RX8. They have a dedicated parts dept so, I thought, should be a breeze! My experience with them went like this: Enters the parts dept where there are 3 blokes standing/sitting, young lad on a computer, older guy on a computer, even older guy standing behind them, they all look up in my direction and say......nothing, not a hello can we help, Hi mate, what can we do for you.......nothing. Eventually I say to the oldest chap that was standing, "Hi, are you just waiting to go on the computer or are you serving?", "Both", says he, still not a "can I help you", .....nothing. So I pipe up, holding forth the bit of paper with the part no's on it, "I'm looking for these", the old chap takes the bit of paper, shows it to the younger of the two, "what is it?" he says, "It's a bit of paper with two part no's that I require", I replied, adding, "They're inserts for wipers", that should get them typing them into the parts computer I thought. "Is it wipers you are after?", asks the old guy, "Sort of it's the inserts for them, that's genuine part no's for them", I add. "You can only get the whole thing", he says, "but that's a genuine part no", I retorted. Bit of grumbling between them before they eventually, grudgingly type the part no in. "There's two part no's on the paper", says the old guy, "That's right, one's the left and one's the right hand side", more mumbling ensues before typing in the second number, "Oh yes you can get those", he says, "I know", says I, "They're not in stock", he says, "can you order them, then", says I, "Yes", he says, "When will they be in" I ask, sharp intake of breath now by all three of them. Two of them say in unison"Wednesday", "Great, what time will they be in for?" says me, a lot of humming and hawing then ensues before I ask, "What time do you close on Wednesday?", "5", was the reply, "Will they be in then?", further questioning needed I thought, "Should be" was the inadequate answer, "Can you order them for me and what price are they?", I was on a roll now, asking multiple questions in the one sentence, ""£8.24 and £4.36", came the answer. "Great, I'll have two of each thanks" I still have no idea whether they are ordered or if they'll be in on Wednesday! What a shower of useless twats, if I was their boss I they would be sacked!! So if you're after these parts, or any other part for your Nissan, avoid Taggarts, Motherwell, at all costs!! The most unhelpful crew I've ever come across, ever, bar none! Why are storemen like this? Everywhere you go, they're all the same.

Thanks again for the update, torque is what it's all about for me with a car now (please no diesel comments), especially with Europe in mind. Lots of considerations still to mull over, wife and money (to a degree) are now not one of them. Pretty sure there is an option for the BBK on the 2.7, will have to have a look again at the spec list.
-
Thanks Jay, anything but Black mate
-
Thanks Dan, some very useful and informative stuff there. My local Porsche centre called yesterday but I was out and my wife took the call. Fully agree with a well spec'd 2.7 rather than a poverty spec'd S. And the comment on the brakes is spot on, performance starts with stopping IMO. I'll be arranging a test drive in the very near future and will try both.

I thought he was out the country, never returns his calls

May have a bit of dosh coming my way and, I've got an itch! This one is of the Porsche variety. Been doing a bit of research and have submitted a spec with a request for a test drive on the new Caymen. Wifey has said "I like that, and the colour is gorgeous", (Amaranth red) and, to me, this is a go signal! A lot of the motoring press have said that the 2.7 is the better option as compared with the S. My must haves on spec is, PDK box, PCM Nav with Bose, Sports exhaust, leather (two tone) and the new Boxter wheels (19") along with the aforementioned colour. The biggest hurdle may be the storage, we like our two or three weeks in the south of France most years and wifey's packing habits are deplorable. Question is, well, for anyone in the know to answer, 2.7 or 3.4, what's the best? Help and considered opinion would be useful, cheers
