Not heavy at all buddy. For the OP, the Rex was relatively easy to drive on the limit, very chuckaboutable, the Z is not so easy to drive on the limit, IMO, as it is a lot more powerful. This might be down to my ability, but I still give myself a good talking to after a spirited drive

One of her stipulations was her new car wasn't to look girly, ok for us hardnosed drivers of big beasty coupe's, it might a look a little girly, but you're right, they are aggressive and sporty in the metal, surprised me actually. It has quite a lot of nice touches as well, the rear spoiler for instance, can either be used so it automatically deploys above 50, then retracts below 37, but you can deploy it manually, there's probably no real function to it but that's a cool addition. The black wheels also add to the aggressive look, on most cars but especially red ones. It has all the bells and whistles on the inside too, with the added bonus of a big boot, although only a two seater. She was looking at a Corsa VXR, but when I persuaded her to test drive a mini, just to demonstrate that even the basic one's have a bit of grunt, she loved it. She has been relatively spoiled due to the fact, her only real experience of driving is in her mum's Leon FR, or her boyfriends VXR. So it took a bit of persuasion from me to get her to look at anything else. She liked the new Clio, beautiful little car, but the engine range, apart from the snarling Renault Sport Turbo version, didn't set her imagination going, neither did the Fiat 500 range, Citroen or anything else, so I had to get the VXR out her head. Counting down the sleeps with her, we've sorted insurance and just waiting on the reg number now.

I came from a RX8 to a 370. Also loved the 8, did a lot with it in terms of travel/road trips. You will not be disappointed in performance and the extra torque is immediately apparant, that was the death knell for my 8, got a bit fed up with the lack of torque. The interior is better quality in the Z, in terms of plastics etc, and the Connect Premium is fantastic. I had the sat nav in the 8 and although very cool with the flip up screen, ultimately was dated very early on. The seats in the 8 were probably more comfortable, although the R3 Recaro's are shockingly uncomfortable, even with my slim hips . Overall, it is a leap in class in terms of spec and power and you can do more in terms of modding for more gains, the 8 was very limited unless a Turbo or Supercharger was thrown at it. Good choice to move up to, but listen to the advice on rubber

The insurance actually is not bad, £628 fully comp, 21 yr old, 0 NCB. The car is is not the S, but has the Chilli Pack, 17" Conical Spoke alloys, Red and black half leather interior with contrasting Piano Black trim and Chrome Line interior. My other daughter had the turbo S, and I loved that go kart.

I'd be happy with a socket set that doesn't have the disappearing 10 and 13mm socket combo!!. Every fooking set!! Oh and a good set of calipers is handy, when rummaging through that big box of spare nuts and bolts. Fully trained mechanic also comes in handy.

Each of the below all had their own attributes, so in no particular order, 1. 370Z (obviously serious fun ) 2. M3, no idea the e number but the V8 version, the torque is phenomenal! 3. Audi R8, superb performance, kitted out like a 1980's Peugeot though ​4. Aston V8 Vantage, a proper gentleman's car. 5. Gallardo, fook me, wider than the Clyde, but faster and the sound!!! 6. Mazda RX8, took me all over Europe on some epic journeys, handling just sublime, let down by the lack of torque. 7. Mini Cooper S, Turbo version, like glue on the road and mucho funno! 8. Infinity G37 Coupe, very relaxing and the spec is superb, alas, not a very exciting drive. 9. Infinity G37 Cabriolet, as above but with the added bonus of being a sort of two in one car, completely different looking with the roof up and down. 10. Opel Manta GTE, my first ever "sports" car, loved it, came with the optional bag of cement in the back. Only other two worth a mention, were passenger rides in a 2009/10 GTR and 2013 GTR Track Pack, outstanding!! Oh and as for sheer "lets have a laugh" quality, Toyota Aygo and the Pug equivalent, fantastic little city cars that would embarrass a lot of bigger cars. Oh and a passenger run in NeilP's rocket ship, that car put a right grin on my face!

It's one of them isn't it, where if you like a particular car and feel that it would be right for you, then of course it's an attractive prospect. The roadster is a premium price in the UK, bearing in mind that the Vette isn't a roadster. For the North American market, it might be a no brainer, with wider open roads and, usually, bigger commutes, but no matter how it's dressed up, that's an expensive car for the UK. I love driving on the continent and, for short period holiday type trips, a RHD, over in Europe is ok, but I can't imagine having a LHD in the UK, even if it was Ford Focus money. IF, and it's a HUGE IF, there was a RHD version come out over here, expect to pay around the same as a GTR, if not more, that would be like choosing a covered wagon over a Typhoon Jet, IMHO.

Well a Nissan 370Z Nismo is £37k over here, if you imported the Stingray from the States it would be £42k + shipping and shipping insurance... not much in it really. Don't know anyone who has paid anywhere near 37k for a Nismo, but what I do know is that it's RHD, and a friend paid £5k for shipping on an older Vette for a project, pretty sure there would be something added for import tax as well, so that would be around 50k, at best, for a car that would be very difficult as a daily, unlike our Nissans. Not difficult that is it? or we would all be driving them if they were that inexpensive and brilliant, which of course, they're neither.

Unless I'm missing something, the basic model is $57k , a basic 370Z is $28k or so . Nice motor though. Pete A 370z I saw was $64K .CAD Admittedly fully specced, but still the base Stingray would be better equipped. Yeah, I misread the basic price it's actually $52k and a fully loaded 370Z is $38k so not a big a difference as I first thought. It's also Considerably cheaper (and faster) than The Cayman S which is $63k. Pete $14K is still a lot, forgot the op is in Canada, I guess $14k Canadian is not worth as much

Having just been out in a GTR track pack version, I doubt if this Vette could even begin to cope with the handling that the GTR offers. A rhd version . That's the funniest I've read all day. As for the OP alluding to the same cost as a 370, that's the second funniest thing I've read all day, all year actually

Can't remember all the options,fastest, shortest, avoid (it wasn't on this to avoid M ways was it?) etc, was it the newer part of the A1M? The earlier Connect Premium, didn't have postcode search option, don't know if that's the case or even relevant. Have a good root through the menus though.
