  1. You are in for a treat, rugby wise, that Welsh whisky though, I lost 2 days at Le Mans drinking that Stick with the Double Wood
  2. Doesn't get any better, Mrs on her works night oot, staying at the hotel it's in, only daughter not to have moved out yet, working, Heineken Cup on telly, drinking Double Espresso beer (?, but nice), other exotics in the fridge (beer that is, not dancing girls), Indian take away just delivered, movie or two later, on max sub and speaker volume and, on my own :yahoo: Now one of two things is going to happen, I get tipsy with a full belly and conk out, or, I get tipsy, with a full belly and manage to stay awake Living the dream boys n girls, living the dream
  3. Sounds like a good trip, in my experience, going from the Ring to say, round about the Lake Como area is a 400-500 mile drive, now if you're planning to take a partner/wife/girlfriend/blow up doll, I would take at least an overnight or 2 night break on the way down. Reason behind this is even on an early start, you'll get into the Alps, late afternoon, by that time you'll be pretty kanackered and the ladies will not enjoy it and neither will you. These are great trips to do, but I would stick to 250 max on driving days, take 2/3 night breaks between driving/exploring the passes, I've spent a few 12 hr Alpine drives, wishing I had stopped earlier, like 8 hrs earlier. Just a thought, if you're a driving monster then go for it in a one'r, but after a track day as well.... Any of the Lakes are a great base, but Italy is HUGE, even from the Lakes to Bolognia or Modena is a fair old treck. Also, plan the return trip as detailed as the outward one, been there on an evening on an Autobahn, with heavy German traffic, can be very congested, I would come back up through France. Just pointers for you to take regard of if anyone wants to take you up on the trip and takes along partners
  4. Yup me! Went for a jolly before work this morning, got good mpg there as well
  5. Well, that seems to confirm the Nismo comes in more than 3 colours? Not as far as I know in the UK, black, white and grey Cheeky monkey He'll get one soon
  6. Hmm, maybe, as soon as I get a minute, Wasso actually offered so maybe time to take him up on it That's your territory buddy, I'm more of a "destroy by stealth" type guy, either that or some PE4 Thanks Neil, Ill just send wee Murphy to duff you up, he says he's always doing it and you fight like a girl
  7. Thanks fellas, bit too much comment on the lack of speed I carry, either in a kart or Nismo And, I was too busy reading up on my new responsibilities to notice this thread, so yup, fantastic start Came out the blue, but it helps that I've got dirt on Lexx , so, where to start..............................Octet!!! Now locking this thread
  8. If it's only put away through the week, can't see anything special needed, if it goes away to beddy baws for the week and it's been wet or recently washed, then leave the handbrake off. My car regularly sits on the drive for an odd week now and then, sometimes longer with no harm coming to her. Going away for the whole winter is a different story though.
  9. The 370 is pretty impressive on fuel, my previous 370 was particularly good after an uprev, you can get up to 400 odd miles out a tank, my Nismo is a tad down on fuel consumption but still delivers high 20's low 30's on a run, I put the poorer consumption down to the rear wing, might come into it's own at 155mph, but that's not going to happen . Short journeys are a fuel killer, cold weather etc. For a big engined GT car it doesn't do too badly. My Rex, to put it in perspective, was horrendous, great wee handling car, but 200 to a 62 litre tank was woeful
  10. Get the refills, £12, part No's and a guide here http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/63643-370z-wipers/page__st__20 No brainer.
  11. So since you are looking at extras (you don't say what extras), are both cars new? If so, must it be a roadster? There are quite a few mods that can be done to the 370 to improve handling, coil-overs, springs that can be brought in for under £1200/£1500. If it's not imperative that it's to be a roadster, then for the price of the roadster, you can probably get the Nismo version, this has a very good level of improvement over a stock 370, some reasonable deals to be had on ex demo's. All the handling improvements are factory fitted which negates any burning desire to further improve the suspension set up. I've driven in the snow with my last 370, not one of my better ideas, but needs at the time required it. You need to drive very gingerly as with any 300 odd BHP RWD car. I found switching the TC off was helpful.
  12. This won't cost anything but I soak a cloth with hot water, ring it out then just run it round the edge of the drivers window and Bob's yer Aunty
  13. You probably did mate , and, I would bet if you raised a small claims against them, they wouldn't even defend it, by not turning up. Then you can get the Bailiffs round
  14. Chris, I think it's just the way the light is hitting it from the flash, I initially thought this as well
  15. Have a look here http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/sale-of-goods-act/
  16. +1, Although, the UK spec ones, which are GM, aren't as lost, but I like that concept.
  17. But they charge you £1400+ for it
  18. UK spec are dark grey, may look better, but don't suit the 350 IMO.
  19. Aye, 30 stone maybe Many happy returns
  20. Another 700+ mile round trip Thursday to Sunday last week, apart from Nottingham to Kineton, all covered in daylight, not one Z, again!
  21. Get up to Knockhill and ask Alex for a pass lap, I'm sure he'll oblige, you will be very. very impressed. Taught him everything he knows as far as track work is concerned, mention me to him, that should do it
  22. Firstly, don't get a new exhaust, HFC's, Coil overs/springs, panel filters/intakes, spacers or an Uprev, ruins the car
  23. I like racing elderly school run mums, I find that they are easily beaten, which reminds me I must get up and pester them tomorrow
