  1. This Scot, in Afghanistan, with the British Army has not changed his mind, can't comment on how my English, Irish, Fijian, Tongan, Welsh or fellow Scotsmen/women feel. As an Englishman, with obvious exclusive rights to everything British, how do you feel as an outsider without a say in it all? Oh I'm back for R&R when the referendum takes place, even though my employer, The British Army, has provided a service for personnel in foreign climes, risking their lives, to maintain that particular freedom of choice, it's a wonderful gift.
  2. Might have some 20mm from you, can't quite make my mind up whether they'll suit me Nismo or not. I know where to come when I decide
  3. When I test drove the auto before I bought my first 70, it mostly left me unimpressed. Put the same box in the G37 coupe and it's a joy for some reason. Been finding myself more and more attracted to the new Q60 coupe, but I've still got a few years of manual cars in me yet. Other than my 'master plan' of getting the new Cayman S, other auto's don't do it for me.
  4. A .22 calibre weapon is a 5.56mm round, which is the round of choice for most NATO countries, who's weapons are all capable of Auto or single shot. A 9mm weapon is mostly a shorter round that is bigger diameter for more effect at close quarter, where accuracy and distance is not as important, like the Glock, Sig or Browning and the Uzi of course. They are all designed for one purpose, to kill. You have to be a genetically modified food eating American moron, for the most part, to let a girl of 9 use ANY weapon. Oh a .303 is a 7.62mm round, the best man stopper known to man, delivered by the correct weapon system.
  5. +1. Although not in your budget, we're getting another Leon FR, the 184, our old one was/is a fantastic car.
  6. Carluke - Larkhall- M74 - M8, fact, pass it on
  7. Admiral were sh1t when my mrs and one of my daughters were on a multi car policy, first year seemed reasonable, following year it was pants. They also managed to take double payment off the wife's card which was a nightmare to get back. Both moved onto their own individual policies which were cheaper. Now don't want to make you young lads jealous, but I paid £164 fully comp this year, with less compulsory and voluntary excess than I had with previous insurer.
  8. I totally refurbed my house two years ago, I'd faithfully kept the boxes and polystyrene packaging, my AV amp, hifi, tower speakers, Sky+ etc., came in. Brilliant for storing out in the garage while all the work was done and not a speck of dust on them when I put all the stuff back in the house. Other than for this purpose, I can't think why I still keep them!
  9. I bought mine outright, still got the 3 yr free servicing, good discount as well . Wouldn't have thought the servicing was dependant on finance, well not in my case.
  10. I like that, I'm in the market for a new car when I get back, well one for the mrs. His n hers Nismo's
  11. But 9,000 miles might be 12-18 months' driving for many owners - a long time to wait for the zorst to go all Kate Moss? True, then buy an exhaust for the 9k miles, but there isn't a need really, unless it's to annoy the neighbours.
  12. Trust me on the exhaust, I put @ 9k miles on my Nismo in 8 months, coked up and matured nicely. Leather seats would be nice, but only for the heated nature in winter. The cloth seats are ok, don't miss the 1/2 leather at all. Best Z car so far, without a doubt. You enjoy it mate. The only thing, that I would say that is slightly negative, the wheels look a bit lost on a black car, was the same when I had my other 70. But again, probably completely different in the flesh, still stunning.
  13. Racing is not about being pretty ( Mo Farrah), it's about being the fastest, or is that just me being mental.
  14. Nice! The Akropovic is a tempting prospect indeed. What sort of cost? Last time I looked the figure made me weep! Very expensive, I had mine coupled with Berk HFCs, awesome sound. Happy with my Nismo sound now, or I was the last time I heard it.
  15. Skoda VRS, save the other £8k for curries and drink!
  16. You won't be disappointed, you will though, be knackered from keeping her clean! She's a beaut buddy.
  17. You don't have to agree Dave, that's the beauty of free speech, but the fact is that I and others are not new out the wrapper and my Spidey senses are well honed to pick up on it. Just being honest and making clear that I'm no diddy.
  18. That was my point, there's a lot of comment on the 350 Nismo and how the 370 version doesn't compare, it is what it is, a vast improvement, aesthetically, more powerful, refined and attractive. Although it's not a c0ck waving exercise, if you put the two of the variants together, 99.999999999999% of car drivers would prefer the newer model. The 50 is dated now and, although it would have been a nice touch to have an R version, the market that it's aimed at and, as has been pointed out by more than a few, the said market doesn't exist anymore, if that makes sense. Having looked at in depth, at a 'premium' make, and whilst it was affordable, to me, the Nismo just had it all, criticism on a comparative note to any other Z or any other marque, just doesn't wash. It is the best of the Z cars so far, not to everyone's taste, but a fact, modern, undeniably more up to date and very, very rare. I'm long enough in the tooth and worldly wise enough to spot green eyes in some comments directed at the car so far. We'd all be kidding ourselves if we thought that this was not the case.
  19. I wasn't aware that the 350 Nismo was particularly 'hardcore'' Or am I missing something? none of the Z range in whatever guise could be labelled 'hardcore' Oh well......... Sent from my bunk!
  20. Well done, you're picking it up! When you're grown up it might get fully developed
  21. Your most welcome, situational awareness, it's a skill that can't be taught.
