Just my opinion but the world is going through it's most dangerous phase since since The Cuban Missile crises in 1962. I was 13 at the time and was absolutely terrified as war seemed inevitable. What we have here is a belligerent Russia testing out just where the red line is, a dynasty of rulers in a nuclear armed North Korea that are completely out of touch with reality and that's just for starters. The list of conflicts and potentially dangerous conflicts is probably higher right now than at any time in my lifetime. IS are without doubt the most brutal and sadistic bunch of thugs since The Nazis and at some stage or other they will have to be dealt with, leaving them to run amok isn't an option and right now I don't see any alternative to boots on the ground if we are to eradicate this cancer. Pete. Boots on the ground? What you want to ask yourself is, would you be so keen on this if it was your boots? Or your sons/daughters, dads or mums? Probably not, at the minute ( well not now I'm on R&R), I am a pair of those boots on the ground, not as bad as 2006-12, but not a happy place to be, my family is worried sick, when I go back, I've limited comms back home and, while I've every confidence in my commanders and troops round about me, I know that every step I take is dangerous. These fanatics are not daft, they've learnt from other campaigns on how to defeat 'boots on the ground' as well as destroy politically any strong message we care to put out there. We have no choice but to utterly crush fanatics such as these. That will take more than the will to put boots on the ground.

Not saying that Hammerite doesn't work, but caliper paint, specifically designed for the job, as per ^^ above

Anyone used The Brake Caliper Specialists in Long Eaton?
The G Man replied to Wasso's topic in 350Z General
No, haven't used them, but I've been to The Factory (nightclub, called somit different now though), great night oot! -
Worked well with the benefit of a paint that was developed for caliper use under extreme heat conditions and gave a fantastic finish is all
-
I would suggest Savage calliper paint, rather than Hammerite.

Infinity is a good shout especially MOT, for tyre fitting go to Strangs, just across the roundabout from Morrisons . They'll take great care with them, that's where I go for all my tyres to be fitted, £10 a corner
-
Anyway, after much faffing about and a few upside down pictures, this kit is genuine Nismo and came via the States. It was fitted by Owen Piling Graphics and looks minted in the flesh

The Results of The Scotish Vote for Independence.
The G Man replied to WhackyWill's topic in Off Topic Discussion
No Viki, keep NOT voting Labour, they are the despots that continually deny further powers for devolved government so as to keep their Westminster paymasters in power. -
Young kid on a bike just said to me after I got out the car, 'nice Skyline mister' lol, I didn't quite catch what he said and he replied, 'cool car' Up in Shieldaig for a few days and the car has caused quite a stir, all good

Test drive now complete
-
I particularly like the air freshener you put in, very apt mate
-
One of the factors on how you'll feel is, what you drive now, if it's a Ferrari or a Porsche, then yeah you'll be disappointed. I came from a 370 to the Nismo version and I wasn't. Not mind blowingly different but enough to put a smile on my fazzug!

My search for a valet service in South Lanarkshire was fruitless but thanks to the very kind nature of Sy1441, my car was fully valeted. He took the time and made the effort to bring my car back to pristine condition. Sy, members like you are a rare breed, my warmest thanks mate. It's people like Sy, that makes my and all the other lads and lasses risks and privations in Afghanistan and the likes, worth it and also to being a member of a great community like ours here. Sy, post away any pictures you want buddy and I'll see you soon.

No, 9000 miles or 12 months whatever comes first

What we're going to gain is a life without small minded people that don't comprehend that we are a totally different proposition to the rest of the UK. Oil has kept the UK afloat for the last 45 years and mainly paid for the mass unemployment in England that was caused by the transition to service industry from a manufacturing industry. What Westminster has done to me and YOU is allow their mates in finance to steal 2 years of my paid for state pension and seven of my wife's, works out at around £80k, of MY money, that the Westminster parliament failed to protect me from. There is some utter sh1te spoken on this thread by some uber ignorant idiots, most of who, could not spell politics, chopsing off about whatever they've read in the daily mail. So fukking what if it doesn't come off to the very high standard that some of the morons on here expect ( due to lack of knowledge on the Scottish socioeconomic situation). Just chomping off at something you could not begin to comprehend, because at the bottom of it all, you know that the UK as you know it, will be fukked, because we've been propping you up since the fukkin early 18th century.

Point 1, why do you think the people of Scotland would be more extreme? Point 2, On the whole, You haven't' got the minerals to vote like that . (For minerals read bollocks)
-
Yeah, but there is PR to consider, not the cockeyed first past the post crap that only suits the worst type of cronyism.
-
I love that version, drove the auto, it's a scream and what a noise, brilliant
-
You mean like a Westminster election where 56% of the population vote, then one party gets 33% vote for one party they get in? That's Westminster democracy eh? It would be laughable if your statement wasn't so contemptible. We get it, you don't want Scotland to get what you can't have, independence from Westminster and it's cronyism.
-
Fixed. And if the majority want to stay with the UK? Then so be it, what's the problem in understanding that? You don't have to 'fix' anything for me, keep yourself right, others will take care of themselves.
-
Some are really finding it hard to understand why Scotland would even consider independence, don't you get it? Scotland in the future will stand a better chance of success without the heart being ripped out of it by Westminster, with scant regard for the wishes of the MAJORITY. We are being asked to keep the status quo, mostly by people who have scant regard for Scotland or the Scottish, our needs and wants. The country is a viable proposition, Westminster is not and is the least palatable of choices. As I've said before, you would change a washing machine, car or anything else that isn't working, some here want to change government, but under the present system, we can't! We're consistently stuck with whatever jingoistic bunch of sociopaths that are voted in by a huge part of the UKs population that HAS scant regard for the totally different mindset of another nation, not a region, a nation. Again, just as the Unionist press played it, everyone of the posters on here that are unionist in outlook have been uber negative, and by a HUGE majority of posters who don't live, work or have to put up with being constantly told 'you're not good/bright/resourceful enough with no assets to make it work' You know what, and this may come as a shock, we are, and now, there is a strong self belief that it can and will work. If it doesn't and we go through a few/tens of years of hardship, you can sit back and gloat, smug in the knowledge that ' we told you so' Anyone would think that we were some sort of moronic trash with a backward mentality. This is from a 51 year old with 30 years military service for The United Kingdom, not someone who's just out the packet. We defend to the death everyone's right all over the globe for self determination, yet slag and bemoan the fact that your closest neighbour has the temerity to want the same. Hypocritical is too kind a word.

Well said. Glad I'm of the younger generation
