Interesting points, particularly on induction. At £460 the K&N is a bit flipping toppy as well. Might just do the panels but I'm not even sure if they add any real value (apart from being non-disposable / washable). The only reason I changed the panels was on advice for the least restrictive airflow to go with the Berk/Akro combination prior to Uprev, the advice was from a more than just a knowledgeable member, but from someone whom I consider has some expertise, ZMANALEX, who's my dad BTW ( he won't mind me saying that) Have no idea if it gave me that extra gazillion HP or not but I took the advice and for not much money, got them, then gave them away doh! Wait wait wait.... Zmanalex is your dad gman ?????? Well I never. That must make you jesus! No that's my younger brother

I don't think it's because they're all the same make but, when I change my exhaust and, if I'm still not happy with the sound, I may consider HFC's again, just not Berks, but follow on with your thinking, it may well have to be the same manufacturer. You probably haven't got a CEL because of them darned good Cosworths I gave you, which you cleaned, made all the difference
-
As sipar69 said, I'm not a great fan of Uprev, nor Berks HFC's if I'm honest. I had Berks, Akropovic Evolution exhaust and threw in a couple of Cosworth filters on my last 370 before Uprev. When it was first done, yeah sort of felt, what I thought was a big difference, throttle may have had a bit more response, sound it made was awesome though. Then I started getting CEL's, after a good 10k miles or so, had it reset then it would come up again. Could have been the O2 sensor?, I don't really know, but there's been a few owners that have had it with HFC's fitted. It put me off them to be honest. Funnily enough, when I returned the car to stock, that felt much better and just as responsive as when I first had the Uprev. Again, I don't know whether it was me getting used to the 'new' found responsiveness after Uprev but, it definitely felt less responsive after a while. When I dropped the old 370 off to pick up my Nismo, it just felt, well, a different class. Not that I thrashed it straight out the packet but, definitely more responsive (small bit of torque, extra few HP? Placebo?, don't know really, it just was). It was RS Tuning in Leeds that Upreved mine, not Abbey, I suspect that they don't run the same packages, but they run the same cost! For me, Upreved on reflection is a bit meh, if I were to put HFC's in, they wouldn't be Berks, would try something different, exhaust, as much as I've persevered with the Nismo unit, needs changing, there is a bit more noise as it gets the miles on and you get very warm, but, I'll admit, needs done. That should be sorted soonish, do I get HFC's? TBC I definitely wouldn't get any form of induction, especially if it was just for a bit more noise, get one of them Armytrix exhausts, that would be noise enough

Not me buddy, was up in EK today and apart from dropping one of my girls off down Hamilton last night, my car hasn't moved all week

Fuel gauge - last dot not lighting up,when filled up?
The G Man replied to Brayster's topic in 370z Technical
My last 370 did this but only occasionally. Never really bothered me and I didn't bother getting it seen to because the chances were I couldn't replicate it. I've brimmed all the cars I've owned and have always been in the habit of resetting the tripmeter to zero. The LED on the 370 is, IMO, a nice to have and I've never paid much heed to it. I know, depending on what type of cutting about I'm doing, what I should be getting mileage wise. The warning on low fuel has never failed and always errs on the side of caution. If your cars under 3 years old by all means get the dealer to fix it. -
Yeah buddy, it's your build, as long as you like it, that's all that matters
-
Daryl, good effort, but you either need to do some painting (looks like plain MDF) and certainly need to get your cornice to wrap round. Sorry buddy, but I'd rather have cables on show. It's a difficult thing to do, build your own units, I tried it once with a separates system, man that really looked pants!! I prefer low and long matching units, in a gloss finish, topped with glass. All the power cables etc. are down the back and the TV uses the stand that's designed for it.

Having watched quite a bit of rugby lately, Euro, Aviva, Pro12 but not much of the French league, my feelings are, England, can never discount them, strong depth to the squad, with ready made replacements at a moments notice to cover serious injury. The result next Friday will be close but I think Welsh passion may narrowly shade it but I don't think they will keep the momentum up, hope they can but if defeated by England, will they be able to pick themselves up? Ireland are strong and consistent, the Irish teams in the Euro competitions (as all the Celt sides) have done well and are far the strongest of the Pro 12 teams. France, again, flashes of brilliance when it comes to domestic and Euro competitions, bearing in mind there's a strong Italian presence there, so Italy are not the numpty side they once were and will cause a few upsets at home. Scotland, will do well to avoid the wooden spoon, squad depth is woeful and the expats in France are with struggling sides. We'll miss Maitland and Denton if they aren't fit,but hopefully our new coach will make a difference.

Who's your money on then and why? Only going to one match, Scotland v Ireland, may manage the Welsh game if I can get time off.

TV looks great , get down to IKEA though and get a decent unit to showcase it and hide Joderall (sp?) Bank. I couldn't be doing with all that cable clutter. Not a fan of wall hanging a TV, always seems to be a problem with cables on show. When I gutted my house a few years ago, I took the opportunity to put all my tinternet and speaker cable under the floor.

This, all our roads are designed to allow water to run off into the gutter, camber. From the centre of the road to the extremes of the camber depth at the kerb, will vary, i.e. from zero at the centre to -75mm for example. This will mean that at the extreme bottom of the camber it would be 175mm, perfectly within the planning regulations (although in practice, speed bumps rarely, if ever, go right to the pavement). So, being above the clearance of a stock 370 may be achievable near the centre of the road, but by the time that height reaches across to the opposite side of the car, it could be, say 135mm, hence a problem but perfectly within spec. No doubt, there'll be a person, whose job it is to put a spirit level on top of the bump stretching towards the kerb, and keep the hump level to the horizon, rather than building it parallel to the road surface from the centre to the bottom of the camber. That all made sense when I was dictating it in my head for my fingers to type. Basically, you're humped! No pun intended

One of my daughters' has one of these, she loves it, looks great and has most if not all of the bells and whistles. I particularly like the panoramic glass roof. The new Quashqai looks like it's been beefed up from the previous model, none of them are my particular type, but for a young family a pretty good choice. The CRV still looks like A Barbie car.

Wheres the comparison!?! It's a V8, the comparison should be with other V8's. Where the comparison truly is, is in the price, not with a 370 or 350. Compare it to an old BMW M3, M5, F type, then it's super value, but a poor V8. We get it Dan, you don't like the 370, man you're pedantic. -

Yeah, just specced one up, came out, with all the more expensive options, about £1k more than I paid for my Nismo, fantastic price -

All speculative at the moment, all will be revealed soon for definite, I'd imagine. Lovely looking car, and with the steering wheel on the correct side, coupled with the perceived cheapness, a bargain! However, for most I suspect, when it comes to actually walking in a dealership and speccing the trim/extras the parting with probably closer to £40k, V8 or not, takes a bit of balls. Can't see there being a run on them myself, too much snobbery about when it comes to American cars, which I don't subscribe to myself. Can't wait to see all the threads on the new purchases. -

+1. The GTR really is a phenomenal car. So 32k mustang vs 70k of gtr Bhp per pound mustang takes it If it's BHP to the pound that's the comparison, then surely we're talking GTR v Shelby variant, more comparable on price. -
