  2. Hang on a cotton picking minute Are we really blaming some back bench MP, that just happened to be in the right place at the wrong time for Southern Rail's strikes?!? This is an ongoing, deeply ingrained dispute, that's got FU£K all to do with politics, it's about tax dodging, benefit scrounging, train operating companies, (TOCs), trying to shave 20 or 30 seconds off an already crowded rail network timetable at the expense of passenger safety, which they don't give a Fook about, to receive more state handouts. If you research BR efficiency against privatisation efficiency, guess what, BR was the golden age of rail, honestly, go search on time trains, rolling stock on the rails, staff satisfaction. The guard is there for many different functions, one of which is a double check that the WHOLE train is on the platform, secondly, the doors are not opened on the WRONG side, causing carnage, thirdly, if there is an incident on the line, he is PTS trained and can actually go on track to place track circuit clips to stop oncoming traffic piling into a derailed train, that's just a few instances where guards are invaluable. Feck all to do with Corbyn, more to do with TOCs increasing profits for investors to the cost off passenger safety. The 300 odd jobs may seem insignificant to the ordinary man in the street, but to an industry, they are crucial. Strikers should be shot!! Just recognise that there are industries where the workers do care, remember, this dispute is not about money, Fook me, train drivers could bring the country to a standstill in minutes if it was about money. Apologies for the perceived rant, I work in this industry now and Joe Public has no conception of what is going on, only what is fed to them through a biased media.

  4. 100% correct. I've got Pirellis on my Moostang, fantastic in the dry, very hard to break loose, in the wet, very hard to stay on the road, fact!! Nothing to do with them being on a Moostang, they are just sh11t! Couple of other peeps I know running MPSS, can't get them to break traction in the wet, never mind the dry! The Pirellis should be all but done at the end of my trip (actually they're bearing out well on the wear factor), so it'll be MPSS shod for the winter (my car is a daily, doesn't have to be, but I've paid for it to be ) I'll give the Eagle's a bit of respect and research them, thanks for the link.
  5. Stretched the budget to get the car so exhaust will have to wait I'm afraid ! Keep the standard exhaust, all you'll do is introduce drone with an aftermarket. There's a reason why the exhaust is quiet, that's to parry the effect of the tyre roar. What I found with the Akropovic (Berk Cats) and the Ark GRiP, was much the same as the tyre roar, after a long drive, you can't even hear the cogs in your brain think! They are great for hooning about town or hooning about the country even, if you're going up and down the gears. If you want to get to the South of France, don't use the M Ways, you will be deaf!, your Mrs will hate you and the car and it'll put her off doing any other road trip. Stick to the national network, much like our A roads and you'll love it They are great cars, but potential owners need to be aware of these issues, I was and I bought another one!! So they're not all that bad
  6. If you plan on doing any long drives, the tyre noise will turn you deaf. All the measures mentioned above will mitigate slightly, but the 370, IMHO, is not a GT in that sense. I tried having the music turned up, different tyres, boot full of 'sound deadening' luggage, after a couple of hundred miles it drove me bonkers. On a slightly different vein, my Mrs always complained, short or long journeys, that as a passenger at least, the car was very uncomfortable. In summary, short to middling journeys, around town - 100 miles, no probs, 100-200 miles, bearable, 200+ miles, you will be deaf! It's still a great little car though, many, many owners enjoy it, I did, immensely but it does have this problem.
  7. On a bit of a road trip to Riva Del Garda, in Riva now, came through Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria and now Italy. The photos here are at the top of the Timmelsjoch Pso Del Rombo, amazing, never knew there was a biker museum there!!

  15. Camera is a locally monitored level crossing (LMLC), for the benefit of the Signaller. The BT police have vans with cameras that are there, primarily to deter motorists from attempting to cross when the barriers are coming down and lights are flashing. If you didn't know the area, OK, if you were familiar with the area, please google 'car trashed by train on level crossing' You'll not get any ticket.

Having just done the NC500 a few weeks ago and, (also an upcoming trip to Lake Garda, so looking forward to that), with everything that it can throw at you, you wouldn't be disappointed in the way it drives. 12 other owners that took part will probably testify to that statement. No doubt about it, there's more 'awesome' cars out there, but not that many that will give as much smiles per hour. Affordable (both to buy and to run), comfortable, highly modifiable, has usable power, practical (in a GT sense), relatively rare, plethora of cheap parts suppliers, design classic, tremendous presence and drop dead gorgeous. Dads, kids, mums, granny's, grandpas, women, men, gay, lesbian, transsexuals, all love it. Reactions are all positive, mostly envy but in a 'well done' sort of way. Ford have supplied, true to The Mustangs' whole ethos, a great platform that's a starter for 10. One massive negative, Ford Service and Sales are diabolical, sh1t, to the point of negligence, but there are quite a few specialists out there who won't let you down. Needs some modifying from stock, although those still running stock may disagree, nothing massive, exhaust, bit of a tweek on the suspension (although stock is supremely comfortable but sits too high for my liking). I'm biased, of course, but deep down, even the hardened dissenters know the above to be true (though they may not admit it )

Like it Jimmy, but then I'm biased Picked my two sisters and niece up from Glasgow airport the other week, all adults, normal sized, two of them fitted in the back seats no problem , I've even had a child seat in the back for my granddaughter, she loves it, her words, 'your car's brilliant grampa' , that made me smile Then again, you can't even get a child in the Z's back seats Enjoy Jimmy, from pleasurable experience (the recent NC500 meet), it ticks all the boxes and for a reasonable outlay, 650hp upwards available . Wait for the 'Thanksgiving' sales though, the $ - £ is sh1t as you know Extra bonus points for a sought after colour

  21. That actually was one of the deal breakers when I looked at the Porsche Cayman, auto box, epic as it is, just too complicated, sequential, auto, etc modes for Mrs G. After all, every car I've ever bought, she owns Any auto is off limits actually Needed to be fitted with a neck brace when she had a go in the Mustang, brakes are not like her wee Mazda
  22. Can't see it personally, too niche a market to warrant the production costs, there are some factory tune upgrades on the way for the Coyote and an RS type tune for the Ecoboost. To be honest, there's more than enough in the stock form for my limited talent. The most interesting thing that's coming is probably the 10 speed auto, although I can't ever get an auto, just in case my Mrs has to drive it

This is the full dialled in suspension, done by Automek, pretty comprehensive, it's before and after, very smart Car handles superbly, and all the suspension mods were done together, I might put it in at some point to have the sway bar set at its more aggressive position. Bare in mind, the whole suspension has been uprated. But I still wanted it to be on the comfortable side, with an aggressive stance, Automek have got it pretty spot on Fast road set up, not interested in tracking the car.
