  1. New Mustang 2018 refresh revealed today and I love it
  2. I've got P Zeros on my 'Stang, they are the most woeful tyres ever to take to the wet, damp, cold I've ever had. The kicker in that test, as in most, it's a front wheel drive car. Perfect in the dry, dangerous in the wet, cold conditions that we have now. They are only rated at 7 deg C, not to be used below that, that's from Pirelli themselves. So they only like Italian summer rain then. lol. Thanks for sharing, like I say, I will have to reevaluate my respect for Evo tests then. My experience, in Italy in the warm rain was very good, but the ambient tempreture was 21 deg. As Pirelli themselves state, under 7deg C, don't use

  4. Well, competition is competition. Obviously not in your world.
  5. Industry 'Captains', actors, actresses and politicians don't appear embarrassed in front of their peers, why should a still competing sportsman/woman Because Industry 'Captains', actors, actresses and politicians aren't competing with one another. A Knighthood is the highest honour that can be bestowed upon Andy Murray... and then in the Australian Open he'll get his ass handed to him by Djokovic. Not very impressive for a Knight of the Realm is it. Really?, so you believe there's no competition in industry/banking, acting or politics? , that's hilarious I had Mo Farah in mind.
  6. Industry 'Captains', actors, actresses and politicians don't appear embarrassed in front of their peers, why should a still competing sportsman/woman That is a significant change there! And, I never knew that the fronts on an F1 were as skinny!
  7. Haven't they always been getting on for £40K (£37,330 - to be exact for the one I want)? Well no, just under £35k (same as I paid for my Nismo in 2013), for the early birds So in this case, the second mouse doesn't get the cheese! He who squeaks loudest and all that

  9. I'm lucky, in a perverse way, getting old and having a healthy pension pot (hopefully Brexit proof ), that 'Vette isn't far from my reach. Given the VED thing and the umpteen rises (mostly to do with the pound crashing), I think I was relatively lucky paying what I did for my Mustang when I first ordered. I wouldn't have paid £40k+ for one, good value as it is, it still needs a few quid on mods to get the best out of it and, the robbing barstewards that masquerade as Customs and Excise, don't help with the import of suitable mods. Brit suppliers just add their 20% if not more, robbing Knuts Maybe there will be a benefit from Brexit and The Trump being the President, no duty charges from the states
  10. Post #15 Hugh , in your own thread http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/113562-just-configured-a-corvette/
  11. Not sure what's going on with the roof? Rear lights are a bit meh..... Overall, a nice looking saloon.
  12. Back on topic, if you've already got a 350, there's not going to be that much difference by way of power, the biggest difference will be a more 'modern' cabin, but even that is starting to look a bit dated. In conclusion, my opinion is, try something completely different Leave the willy waving to the 'bike v car' gang
  13. 8 speed auto, I thought that 10 speed was the new 'vogue'? Price will be the important pitch here, once badge snobbery is overcome, but probably a serious contender to Infiniti buyers, as most of the motoring public know anything about them either Anyway, an interesting alternative to a Jag. As 'arse-heavy' looking as a Jag though, too many doors for me
  14. http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-shows/detroit-auto-show/news/a32182/this-is-the-gorgeous-rear-wheel-drive-kia-stinger-gt/ Don't see a price, but I can't imagine it'll be Jaguar/Mercedes/BMW-priced 7 year warranty?
  15. Just for clarity, Sterling Moss was, IMO, the bravest and best driver ever and he won no world championships. A real gentleman driver, with a talent that modern drivers will never have. His exploits in the Mille Miglia is enough to convince me.
  16. Tut, tut, such hate for a lovely man, caring father and husband, who also won 3 world championships. Hamilton will never be knighted, due to his decadent lifestyle. If I'd won 3 World championships, I'd have cards printed up to present to everyone I met . Love his tartan trews and bunnet , such style. A true gent who was a genuine friend of Clark and Hill amongst others. However, he's from an era when it was much harder to win one, never mind three world championships. Back on topic, Verstappen will take a lot of beating this year , IMO.
  17. The master and innovator of the modern sponsorship model You don't like him because he's Scottish, the best driver there's ever been and he's Scottish , hang on, no that's me I'm thinking of (Secretly, I want a poster of me on YOUR bedroom ceiling (I'll send you one)) He wasn't even the best Scottish driver, that would be Jim Clark who was pure genius. He could drive anything F1/F2, saloons, won the Indy 500 and was leading the RAC rally, yeah he was good. Mind you, JYS may not have been the fastest but he was one of the cleverest and as you say was the first one to sell his image. I once stood next to JYS and my word was he diminutive. Pete IYO

  19. What he said ^^ I wouldn't worry the current CEO of Ford like trucks, noise and big engines, after all isn't that what all real men want in life . I wonder if the CEO of Ford is a member of a car forum, that advocates the use and ownership of big engined, NA, noisy exhausted cars, bit like the folks on here?
  20. Who cares what else GM produce, well I don't, being a 'real man' They produce the Corvette
  21. They do I'd have a Corvette over any ev, even if it was capable of time travel, over most cars. Ever since I saw them compete with Aston Martin in 2007/8 at Le Mans, the noise is epic, even my Mrs said she would have one! They are a sexy beast of a car. ev's? They're for a different thread
  22. That's quite interesting reading, but until EV's are the only available choice (I'll be long dead by then ), I still wouldn't buy one. If speed was the only factor, we'd all sink our money into used or new GTR's. If the 2020/1 Mustang is only available in EV form, I think I've got myself an appreciating asset
