  1. Background Myself and a close group of fellow McMustangers (4 off us ) enjoy all sort of car related antics, modding, runs out, shows, events etc and one of the winter staples is meeting up in The Dakota Glasgow’s cigar lounge. None of us smoke as such, but we enjoy a premium cigar or two now and again, mostly brought back from holidays. We just shoot the sh1t, talk nonsense mostly and generally have a good crack. Aim After a recent bout of modifications, together with years of car related stuff and the usual detritus that pollutes my small, concrete sectional garage, I’ve sussed that I could actually make a cool wee cigar lounge in my garage. Need to make room, which is taken care of by using my daughters garage next door Execution Once the required space has been achieved and a workable floor plan sorted, I’ll then work on adorning the walls with car stuff, bonnet, engine covers etc. (stock exhaust from my Mustang is already up there). I’ve got power and lighting so heating will be in the form of a fan heater or two. I’ve no plans to fully insulate the garage as it will only be for occasional use and I’d be as well to flatten and build new if I was going to insulate. Recommendations I know some of you have built some super man cave garages, that’s not my aim really, all I want is recommendations of outdoor decent but either counter top or under counter cooler/fridge. Must be able to work in outside temps. Must have capacity for 500ml size bottles with adjustable shelving (my favourite beer only comes in 500ml sizes). Budget No more than say, £150. Summary Outdoor fridge/cooler, preferably glass fronted, reasonable capacity, under or counter top, £150 max budget.
  2. Morons mixing up Nora for Corona. Just grab a pile of Metro’s, newspaper was good enough back in the day.....
  3. Used as an air brake as it’s so fast Even when charged it doesn’t need any extra cold air, had this fitted before paint as well in prep for a Whipple
  4. These guys not far from London 22miles from Orpington https://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/uf-studio/detailing-services.aspx
  5. I’m in two minds to be honest, I have a replacement Super Snake from Big Worm Graphics to re do the hood/scoop, however I’m liking the ‘naked’ look on the front end too. I’m stuck between taking the rest off or getting it back to as was. Paint-shop guy said to give the new paint at least 3months to cure properly
  6. I paid the extra and got a pre-painted one, I shouldn’t have bothered, it needed re-flattened down and painted because of silicon and ‘fish eyes’ in the finish. Would have looked proper pooply on the brand new paint job. The paint now looks better than factory and stunning. The level of prep and number of coats was astonishing. Not cheap, the whole job was 2k. if you look in the background there’s a classic Porsche, just finished paint and another two Porsche’s went out the door the day before. i think side scoops would set the whole look off and the number plate is staying off
  7. Paintwork done, here’s a few shots of mine, bodyshop sending me more detailed pics of the breakdown. So, ‘new’ second hand bonnet, MMD-V Series hood scoop, full front end, wings all freshly painted, doors and flanks blended and whole care machine polished. Theres a, hopefully, minor issue with the front light connections (mostly indicator related) which is being looked at by an auto electrician tomorrow.
  8. If I had the IT skills i would provide it. Can’t at the minute anyway, cars been in getting new discs, pads and an updated oil cooler. Now in the paint shop for so freshening up and a new look to the front end Thats a new bonnet btw
  9. As a few on here are finding out, as I have, the Mustang is a fantastic GT, better than either of my 370’s in that respect, would also be as capable on the B roads as the 350/370. Its definitely not suited to a track without a sizeable investment, whereas a 350/370 with a little tinkering is quite well suited for track work. These days, what with the state of our road infrastructure, congestion (much more amplified in most of England) and generally poor driving skills of most road users, there’s not a lot of room for either. Given an Alpine Pass or continental motorways, the Mustang comes into its own, the 370 certainly, just fails to fully tick that box because of the harsh ride and levels of road noise. Anyhoos, that’s what I mostly use my car for now. The 370, for me was more a ‘round the doors’ type fun ride.
  10. I’d have my Nismo back in a heartbeat. As a second plaything, not as savage as my Mustang. My RX8 was the most usable on UK roads as something that you could use every ounce of its capability. Would I buy another Nissan? As others have said, nothing in my price range would tempt me. I’d buy another Mustang tho
  11. I concur on the comfortable GT qualities, trans European or commuting, all good. While I’ve got the full FRPP Track suspension kit, it’s still very comfortable, I might change this out for some Pedders adjustable coilovers this year tho, just to give the option of an even smoother ride. With the X Force Varex Smartbox engine Back Exhaust, I’m neighbour friendly in the mornings now as well. Facelift models have the option of an active exhaust and magnaride tho. Nothings fell off yet and no rattles to report, the panel gaps will annoy some people, Ford quality rather than Audi , but pretty well put together otherwise. mine goes in for the oil cooler swap out tomorrow, not a necessity, more peace of mind for our upcoming Euro trips. Getting some paintwork and a new look at the front end as well done, oh and new Stoptech discs and pads all round as well. A joy to spend money on
  12. Irn Bru has done an organised trip the last few years, so I’m sure he’ll offer his experience and some tips. I’ve did it a few times and know most of it really well, my top tip would be to do it anti clockwise, up the east coast first. No need to worry about super unleaded, plenty in Thurso and Ullapool. Venture into the interior if you’ve time, awesome roads to stretch the legs in. From Tongue round it’s a bit tight in places, mostly single track with a LOT of idiots (mostly camper vans) that don’t know how to use passing places properly. other than that, take your time and enjoy If you’ve not did the Peebles triangle, Hamilton via Biggar - Peebles - Selkirk - Moffat, back up the old A74, a great practice and will test your Zeds and your capabilities
  13. ......or just slap them and claim ye missed
  14. OP, have you actually clicked on ATTAK Zs’ link? Here’s what it looks like.......
