  1. Probably struggle to keep the Z in a straight line this weather regardless of the steering The cost was £67 inc VAT. I also had a 5% discount voucher that you can print out from the website http://www.alignmycar.co.uk/ This will show your nearest Hunter equipped garage. If there a 2 or more near you, it's worth phoning up for prices - the 2 I tried differed by £20!!!
  2. Recently treated my Z to some gifts - UpRev at RS Tuning and Hunter geometry set-up. (Probably more £££'s than the wife will have spent on her this Christmas! ) These have totally transformed how the car now feels and drives. Definitely money well spent, would recommend. On the suspension the toe was out on all corners, so now hopefully my new tyres won't be wearing down as quick. As for the UpRev - haven't noticed a difference from standstill but once the car is rolling along it certainly pulls alot better when accelerating through the gears. The car has just basic mods so wasn't expecting a massive difference but certainly feels more responsive (graphs in dyno section) Driven the car for 2 days like this but only trouble is it's now under 3 inches of snow plus with the dodgy roads it's too risky to be driving it in a sporting manner......Guess I'll just have to wait......

    Decided!

This is the set up Mark @ Abbey recommends. It's what i'll be changing to shortley. Indeed, that's where I got them fitted Crackin' performance so far, and the slotted discs look much cooler than the OEM brembos on the above. I also run the same setup along with braided hoses. The feel over oem is far better and stoppin power is great when spirited driving. The only downside imo is alot of brake dust - suppose this can be expected. Just use a decent wheel wax and it cleans off fairly easily. The only time a get a little break squeal is when just town driving for a few days using very light braking. This soon disappears when back on the open roads
  5. Nice one A decent for us relative newbies that don't know every inch of our Zed.....yet
  6. Alright there mate, Hope you get some good news soon wrt the job. Should be a decent commute on them roads from what I seen last Sunday. If it's a 4x4 you buy, try get something with selectable 4WD/RWD.......best of both worlds depending on your braveness!
  7. on the results andyvvc. I will be speaking to RS and booking my '04 in with them once I buy & fit a couple of parts. I'm not worried about the numbers too much as all the reviews say that once it has been re-mapped it feels a so much more a responsive car to drive anyways......but more is always better!
  8. Hi Andyvvc. I shall be keeping an eye on this post. I'm thinking of similar exhaust, y-pipe & plenum upgrades. As Abbey is so far away (I'm NW Cumbria) RS is much nearer + they get good reviews also. Looking forward to hearing some good results and feedback. Hope all goes well
  9. I'm NW Cumbria, 'seaside' town of Workington. I'll check out the meets see whats going on. Cheers
  10. I looked at a GM one first but as the bumper was absolutely peppered (high mileage and no tlc) with the inevitable stone chips, it put me off slightly. Once I seen a silver model I much preffered that colour. Must say tho - your wheels do look rather
  11. Been a 'lurker' for quite a few months now, and as the site/people's info have been more than invaluable I thought I would join up. I have owned my Zed since Christmas 2009. I had so much fun in the snow/ice that we had - it is the first RWD car I have owned. Thank heavens for switchable ESP as I don't think the Z would be here now with me if it wasn't for this! I have fitted a few small upgrades/improvements but trying to fight the urge of the modifying bug.....until I attend a show/meet and see what everyone else has done to their Zed's.......
