  1. As long as i'm home i plan to make as many trackdays as possible this year! You'll usually find someone else is going if it's a sunny day!
  2. Coldel they look the same to me. Neil, the next nearest dealer is 60+ miles away, so i may just have to go for a wee drive later on this week
  3. Three quarters of the way through swapping disks and pads over i have somehow cleverly managed to snap my locking wheel nut key and am now unable to remove the wheels Had a look for the part number with all the paperwork etc that came with the car but can't find it for love nor money. Nipped up to the local Dealer and sadly they can't match the pattern to a part number. They're saying there's about a dozen different types of locking wheel nut patterns that came with it. One of the mechanics did give me a part number, but the parts guy wasn't too keen to go with that and recommended me hammer and chiselling them off and buying a complete new set instead. My question is does anyone recognise this pattern and if so do you still have the code that came in the packet with it? Or shall i just get the hammer out and remove them the hard way Thanks Pete
  4. http://vimeo.com/6887330 Nice wee vid of the 3 latest z cars
  5. Saw a lovely silver Private regged one in Morrison's this morning, however a rather elderly gentleman got in so not holding much hopes on him being on here. Prove me wrong **** MTV - Spotted this black one at B&Q this afternoon, you did look round as i started up but i was in shed undercover mode today 55 plate - Gunmetal coming down towards Virginia Quay about twenty minutes ago Also i've seen a white zed around the rosemount area. Are you on here? As a side note, started mine up today and changed the sidelight bulb ready for her MOT this week Needed a bit of a helping hand! But she fired up after a minute thankfully New pads/discs going on this week too so got bedding in to look forward to Pete
  6. I'm considering doing the same thing for.some track wheels. Can't find any other pics so if you do it post up some photos!
  7. So i just picked up my new bike so i can get some riding done at work in rural India! It's a 22" Brazed Hero JET Plus Gold edition. Single speed, suspension seat, crazy metal lever brakes, a bell, front reflector's missing, cotter pin cranks with a plastic/metal pedal combo, 64 spoked 28" wheels rolling on special HERO specific 7ply tyres. Mudguards, pannier and a kick-stand as standard. Bit more of an upright position than i'm used to, and the brakes don't really work. But there's no hills here so no need to stop! Oh and the front wheel was loose, so glad i checked it before heading out on my first ride. Still, not bad for the equivalent of £20! Shall keep you updated on the progress... Or not
  8. Aww man, that'll be the 100th time i've had my door card off! Hopefully this'll fix it. Thanks for the find!
  9. I'll second the service quality from these guys. Had the car in there a few times and every time they've taken good care and done an excellent job (even with me rushing them so i could get to knockhill in time ) Would recommend them to anyone in the area.
  10. I'd just drill a few holes in the plate then cable tie it to the grill, i'm guessing the mesh is strong enough to handle the load? I'm actually about to do the same to my other car cos i'm fed up of smashing the plate.
  11. Welcome to the forum, hopefully see you around Aberdeen sometime!
  12. If you have a UK spec then you can just hold down the button, this will display the time for about 20 seconds then revert back to whatever reading you were on previously. Doesn't help you JDM guys though.
  13. One Million Pounds! And collection only Sent you a pm
  14. Going to have to disagree with you there, car looks better without it! However i do have one lying around but you'd have to wait till Feb till i could post it to you. Lemme know if you don't have any joys before then.
  15. Correct. As I understand it when they load your details up to do the test, it is meant to alert them to this fact so they do it the old "hoon it down the road and slam the brakes on" method How does putting it on a rolling road for said test affect the diff, and more importantly is there a way to tell if your car has had it done by a past MOT station (before you bought it) Or is it so blindingly obvious that you would know it's been done?
  16. with my lights Happy new year guys!
  17. I've just had a full service done on the car, complete fluids swap, and replaced only the sump plug (cos the previous garage had managed to mash the threads) Car was sitting on 40k miles when i had this done and am so glad i did, feels like new again.
  18. Must say i rather enjoyed it. I work in India for half of the year and it was a good to see i'm not the only one scared to death of driving at night over there!
  19. Easiest thing to do is to try them, if it's a good seal you'll be fine. If not nip down to your nearest auto shop and grab one.
  20. Not been down Union Street yet. I think the fun police would arrest me
