  1. There could be a few things which would contribute to these symtoms. Worn clutch + Fly wheel, a new clutch with a solid fly wheel sometimes results in a little juddering. Is the clutch pedal high towards the top end of it's travel? I personally wouldnt go on any lengthy trips without firstly exploring the clutch condition first.
  2. Dangerous driving carries a potential for a 2 year imprisonment where drink driving only 6 months in very extreme circumstance. Both offence in this case goes hand in hand with the more serious being dangerous driving by virtue of being drunk.
  3. £630 is the cost of the trial at Court. Other costs may be met by other means. Will her insurance pay out or will being drunk invalidate her insurance? Pete The insurance company will cover all 3rd party claims as a result of a drink driver but not the insured person. The insurance company will then take out a civil suit to regain the cost from the drink driver. You could also claim for any injuries through the criminal injuries compensation scheme following a conviction for drink driving if there were areas not met by the 3rd party payout.

  5. 300 miles + per year on the track on a 6k mileage limit. Why bother? If the limit is this tight to your annual mileage then just up it for what it costs.. I have a limited mileage policy of 5K in the knowledge that my annual mileage is roughly 1 to 1.5k per year. This more than covers me for any unforeseen circumstances.
  6. Zero thank goodness. Off to France in June and been reading how keen the police over there are. Watch this space
  7. FRONT DISC BRAKE (CLZ25VD TYPE) Non Brembo Standard thickness : 24.0 mm (0.945 in) 294mm diameter Wear limit : 22.0 mm (0.866 in) Maximum uneven wear (measured at 8 positions) : 0.015 mm (0.0006 in) or less FRONT DISC BRAKE (OPB27VA TYPE) Brembo Standard Standard thickness : 30.0 mm (1.181 in) 324mm diameter Wear limit : 28.4 mm (1.118 in) Maximum uneven wear (measured at 8 positions) : 0.015 mm (0.0006 in) or less So if the disc have thickness of a little over 20mm then there are neither of the above. Why not buy from one of the many traders on the forum? you are sure to get the correct parts. Don't try and save a few pound when the things you are buying are there to keep you on the road. There is a great deal on at the moment http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/84325-introducing-the-new-dba-t2-disc-for-350z-199-per-pair/ Tyres + Brakes = Spend your money. Information taken from the Nissan 350z workshop manual.
  8. Quite possibly there are a few owners in the area. Not me though
  9. As said previously, visiting France for the first time for a 2 week road trip. Stopping off at Le Mans on the way to the Vendee with an over night stop in Le Lude it would be quite nice to meet up with some of you on the way down. where are you all staying?
  10. The rears are pretty much the same as the fronts. Remove the pads and caliper and remove the rotor (remember to take the handbrake off). Depending on the condition of the internal brake shoes the rotor should come straight off (sometimes a small lip is made preventing this). If not, manually wind back the shoes until they become clear of the inner walls (Through the small rubber plug). Replace in the opposite way. You may need to reset you handbrake lever.
  11. Abbreviated number plate NO-HHHHHHHHHHH :scare:

Having a 2 week French road trip starting Thursday 12th June (Over night from Portsmouth) and was going to stop off at the museum Friday morning. probably not a good idea now may take it in on the way back up now. Great planning! Why don't you stay a night to soak up the atmosphere Only been planning it for a year and remember reading that the race was the following week I'ts a good idea though, booked into a nice hotel in Le Lude on Friday night.

  16. Can anyone advise on the following comment posted on http://www.350z-uk.c...81-kraziekatz1/ about beding in proceedure. I'm fitting new ones tomorrow and not read this before. (Example) multiple stops at various speeds at various pressures? 5x 50-30 light pressure 2 min run at speed, no braking 5x 70-40 med pressure 2 min run again 5x 100-50 hard as you can but no ABS Thanks.
  17. With a pipe that big I would say that the definition of being rambunctious would fit quite well.
  18. Psychedelic 70's look
  19. Hi Ewen. Do you still have some of these available? If so i'll call tomorrow. Thanks Martin
  20. Mine made a wining noise when reversing of my drive. When I replaced the clutch it was shot. Down to the rivets (metal on metal) but no slip when driving so may be ready for a new clutch. Alternatively it could be low on gearbox oil. Not sure where the gears are situated in the box but if they are near the top end it may also cause the wining.
