  1. There will be no problem with the lower profile tyre except the ride may be slightly harsher and but the 10mm radial depth difference may be an issue with the arched.you could always lower the Z slightly.
  2. Possibly two things. 1. You may have damaged the window eliment when cleaning it. 2. As many people do, they think that the AC is there as a de-mister when in fact it reduces the ambient temperature within the cars cabin thus lowering the glass temperature sufficiently that when your warm moist breath fills the cabin and comes into contact with the cold glass condensation is formed thus the misting affect. I may be wrong though.
  3. Great pictures, would have tookk the Z personally.
  4. Another consideration is the central hole diameter. The front hub diamiter is slightly smaller than the rear
  5. Just got the wing back from the paint shop, Photo's to follow, hopefully fitting it this wekend.
  6. Rag tops are always going to be more expencive. I insured my coupe with More Than insurane fully comp, maned driver, but with a limited milage 5k per year £280.
  7. Each to their own, personally looks great, go for it.
  8. Superb mate, great finish. in my opinion a spoiler would complete the vision (my view only)
  9. As the above the legal requirements are 1.6mm depth continuously for 3/4 of the mid section of the tyre. Depending on what width of tyre i.e 245, from the centre line there needs to be 1.6mm of tread 92 mm either side of that. Looking at your tyre it is going to be very boarderline whether its legal yet alone pass the MOT. Advice CHANGE IT NOW
  10. Sorry for your loss. Heart felt condolences to all family and friends.
  11. Most definately. If sufficient interest in a drive around the Peaks i will plan and organise a drive out taking in some of the local sights.
  12. No definately white, identifying the edge of the road. You cant be too careful you dont know who may turn up whislt taking pics.
  13. Having looked at the thread of the recent Wales drive out and feeling a bit left out. I decided to have my own personal one in the Derbyshire Peak district which is on my doorstep. Starting on the South Sheffield moors Then the suprise view which looks down from Fox House to the valley of Hathersage Ladybower reservior and the actual dam wall the dam busters used to practice on to develop the bouncing bomb. Some of Castleton's landmark sights. Mam Tor is a famous viewpoint and landmark, rearing up above the valleys of Hope and Edale. Known as the 'shivering mountain', it is comprised of shale and the East face is a dramatic and loose expanse of crumbling rock. The area below the face is constantly on the move and each period of heavy rain undermines the loose shale and causes it to slip further down the valley. The former A625 main road from Stockport to Sheffield once went down this way but was swept away by a landslide in 1974 and has not been rebuilt. Winnats Pass is in the High Peak area of the English county of Derbyshire. It lies to the west of the village of Castleton, in the National Trust's High Peak Estate. The road winds through a cleft, surrounded by towering limestone pinnacles. The pass was once thought to have originated as a giant collapsed cavern; however, a more recent explanation is that it was a ravine between the coral reefs that originally formed the limestone.[1] The name is a corruption of 'wind gates'. A local legend is that the pass is haunted after a young couple were murdered by miners Overlooked by the Iron Age fort on Mam Tor, Edale Valley is the wide expanse of green which lies just to the south of the great gritstone and peat mass of Kinder Scout, which is usually accepted as the southern end of the Pennines. And like all good outings ending up at a local watering hole
  14. This is what the forum is all about. Bought the wing from Nick. Great communications and hastle free transaction. Now Here's the best bit. Forum members willing to give good sound advice so that others can avoid already learnt pitfalls. Thanks
  15. Great selection of pics. Although the weather looked inclement the row of Z's is enough to brighten any day. Cant waint to join the party.
  16. Thanks for the heads up. Just like a child at christmas i have already had it on the boot and it fits perfectly . Just as a point of interest there are two mounting screw underneath. Would tape hold the wing on its own or would it be benificial to secure the wing with the screw also. Obviously fitting the wing with the screw would involve drilling the boot lid which idealy i would like to avoid.
  17. Hi all. Advice and opinions welcomed. I bought this genuine rear wing from a fellow member the other week and intend to fit it sometime soon. At the moment it is in the prep stage and just waiting for the nod from a friendly sprayer to get 5 minutes to give it the once over. Im not into heavy modification but subtle chnges. I must admit that i do like the look of the rear wing even without the wide body. Any advive on fitting or other pointer wecolmed. Rothers2901
  18. When they said that the technician has his tool in the bag hanging below and weighing 30lb. They must have meant his Bxxxks. Bravest thing seen ever.
  19. Looks great. I'm new to detailing and modding when you say you need to FLAT IT BACK what do you mean? and how?
  20. should have bought a PRIUS if economy is what your after.
  21. The swirl x is a must, theres no point polishing any car without a smooth serface. The Meguires products are part of the 3 step system (google). Yes wash, then wipe dry before doing any detailing and the DA are an orbital system which prevents any burning of the paint. The time saved is worth hours. The z in the pics is mine and unfortunately NOT for sale.
