Suzanne the LS3 6.2 V8! Caution very long build thread....
Cal replied to Wasso's topic in Member Build Projects
Mrs Wasso: It looks great and it is IN, but it's not moving... The suspense is killing me, although it's quite the turn on! -
Order placed and paid for... Light wallet alert! - Black housing - Gunmetal shroud - Tinted/smoked dimpled section - White corner leds - White ironman - White halo - Sti-r lens All bits ordered, most he has in stock... Can't wait to see them! I'll likely have these on before the respray I think as the painter hasn't had time to do my colour samples yet! Car going in for a mini service Tuesday... - Fresh MOTUL oil and filter - Fresh coolant from Clark Motorsport - Red Mishimoto hoses from Cougar Store - Stainless Samco clips

I like my progress threads how I like my books - no words, lots of pictures ha! Back on topic - is it in yet? -

=p get your own material! Ahhh bugger... Nothing worse than passing someone else's joke off as your own! I didn't see it I swear -
Probably, but they can be adjusted apparently just like regular OEM ones... The beam pattern is slightly different, higher on the wrong side. I'll always have my OEM LHD's for MOT.

Is it in yet? That's what she said! -
I have to say, I dislike carbon wrapping/hydro - which is the norm for those bits... So fair play for trying something different The Silverstone base works well with your leather
-
Ok, nearly finalised my Z Works order... The spec will be; - White top corner leds - White halo - White ironman - Sti-R lens - Black housing - Gunmetal shroud - Slightly smoked dimpled plastic insert I asked him about tinting the removable clear plastic dimpled section as I felt with the shroud going a dark silver, the chrome indicator bowl stood out even more than usual. Just takes the edge off it... Should look cool I hope!

Cool looking car... I'd still rather a Nismo 370z though, any day.
-
Always extremely helpful, great products at great prices and super fast delivery! Cheers Ewen!

Options bump Expensive I know, it's going to kill me haha.. But I think decent looking headlights/DRL's flatter a cars age, I'm going for clean, modern but OEM/Nismo look and these will definitely help bring the age of the car down I think, and compliment the look I'm building. Good choices, I'm leaning that way too! Cheers matey! Thanks mate, I think amber look fine! As you say wiring them to the turn signals would be a cool mod! If I go for white I'll leave them as DRL though. Haven't you got enough stuff to be cracking on with? Forget about nice headlights for now Silverstone/Gunmetal I think is the leading candidate! Only concern is that with the shroud being darker it will draw the eye even more so to the chrome indicator bulb bit... Unless I ask Z Works to paint this section, hmmmmmmmmmm!

Could be interested in this for a swap for my rear bumper/spats buddy?
-
In the process of sorting my Z Works lights order - a few options to consider! Black housing, white halo, white Ironman are nailed on... But. What colour corner LEDS? I like white, but I think amber looks more OEM, they're far away from the main cluster and look a little lost on their own in matching white? Also, what colour shroud? Stay classy looking OEM silver, something a bit different but still classy gunmetal, or the 'I've definitely had custom lights made' white body colour... Genuinely unsure on this one!

That zed looks awesome, mine will be a similar set up soon, v2 front but HR bonnet, amuse sides, and ironman/halo headlights

If you need a photoshop of an LS engine in your engine bay, let me know... That's about all I can help with hahaha! Joking... But seriously, this will be incredible! -
How much would it be for a respray Cal? Circa 2.5k mate I think is the going rate, would be more usually for me as I'm having loads fitted... But it's a mate so I'm getting it cheaper.

Seafoam green one is lovely... He's on instagram pjf1985 - @conenor

That pic reminds me - red silicone hoses next! Looks very nice...

I wanted a white Z... I bought a silver one wrapped white. Saved up for a respray due to hating it from not long after purchase - no real shine, depth or quality to it, seams everywhere. I'm pretty sure it's made the rust on my rear arches worse by holding moisture in. Don't do it!
-
The Yanks seem to know how to do Z's I can't stand... - Ridiculous camber, - Mandatory 'stance' windscreen sticker - Optional dapper, dope, ill, stance stickers elsewhere. Just makes me cringe... Maybe I'm getting old

Am I right in thinking the Aerospec R1 is like a modified INGS rear? With the fins added? I'd definitely do the diffuser section black... Satin would probably look more OEM, but gloss may tie in better with other gloss black bits you have. -

To the top! If it doesn't go soon then all the above will be binned... So offers welcome as stated. -
Very useful for searching hashtags I found... Helped me out a lot in choosing body bits for the Z and also paint colours. @calroberts23
