  6. yeah Ive seen that video before and then got confused, i thought the silver would repel etc just spray half of it black I wanted to do mine but for some reason ages ago opted against it
  7. from what ive read i think on hot days it would increase your intake temps at the start as it would be stationary and absorbing heat because its black, Not sure it would make much of a difference but with FI the lower the intake temp the better
  8. douchebag i glanced at pic and though that doesnt look good
  9. Congrats Dip, good on ya buddy is the whole forum invited?
  10. like this http://www.halfords.com/motoring-travel/engine-oils-fluids/fuel-oil-additives/wynns-clean-burn-emissions-reducer-325ml but i think there is better stuff than this
  11. little update as I start this: Still not moved into new garage yet they are on day 21 of 28 days to move me...hmmmm cutting it fine! Anyway here is what i have to get things going. 110 ah leisure battery 2x 40 watt (80 watts) Solar panels Solar Controller Solar cables Heavy Duty battery cables/terminals 1500w inverter 8 awg wire and fuse which I ripped out of the Subaru because its expensive to buy more oh and 2 x 10 metre roles of led lights, its going to look like santas grotto need to make a control panel and get some switches and a watt meter, longer cables and few other bits and see how it goes. Stay tuned for updates though trying to fit a kitchen at the moment so might be a while
  12. thats a bugger! I guess try what you suggested, how far up does the hex head of bolt stick up from the recess?? ive had problem thats similar and used a hack saw to score a line across the hole and then undone it with a flat head screwdriver, thats if the hex head is out enough to get a blade on top
  13. couldnt see a guide but may get an idea from the stopech brake install guide, step 7 onwards http://stoptech.com/.../98-646-1450-02
  14. Im going to point towards a radiator cap then or expansion tank, as mine was untouched and its plausible that could be the case with you and mouthwash, could be wrong though
  15. I replaced my decats with my original cats and it still failed my mate gave me something to shove in the petrol tank and drive it straight there and it passed straight away, think you can get it in halfords
  16. That is strange maybe worth another bleed to rule that out at least, or maybe a problem with the dials/bcm thing behind it?
  17. mine used to burn the hell out of me when i was moving and went stone cold when stationary
  18. could be air lock in system, I remember when mine did something similar my radiator cap seal was a bit buggered so was letting air in, replaced and went back to normal, could have a look there?
  19. yeah ive got to get used to that, im going to leave 20ft gaps in traffic and launch forward and brake
  20. maybe it was him! My build has dragged on so long im getting to the point where I thought sod it get it all now and fitted so it comes out epic and spend the next 2 years earning it back I went and started mine the other day as its been off road for a while and my release bearing sounded like chewbacca
  21. I know what you mean mate, this setup came up so had to jump on it even though im going broke quick I thought you already had lightweight flywheel etc I read its going to be harsh but hopefully that will ease up, i think because its 6 paddle it grips harder or something. Least it will cope though once i get going
  22. Some big items arrived this week It suddenly dawned on me that trying to stop a supercharged Z on jdm brakes was a no no Time to upgrade So some rears...and weirdly found some brembo DBA rear discs in the garage even though I only bought brembos the other week and the fronts although im missing one as its being painted at some point as Wasso went crazy with his polishing gizmos, also some monsterous 2 piece front rotors and a set of EBC pads and all the pins/plates/clips courtesy of Zmanalex So I believe im on my original clutch at 62,000 its still going strong but believe the Vortech will kill it off so it might be overkill based on some reading but... Driftworks lightweight flywheel and ACT 6 paddle sprung clutch Fitting will commence soon, that should take care of stopping and clutch for a while
