Wow, thats all i can say, what a place, awesome. Amazing track, fantastic cars, great people all with a common interest, so friendly. Well the weather was great, too good to be honest as the Saturday bought out loads of people keen to get on the ring. It started early as we could hear the cars off the line through the bedroom window at 8am, what an alarm call. Bennets zed performed brilliantly, after a tester lap and some tweeks she shone. Must admit the K1 exhaust is too much for me cruising on normal roads but on the track it shines, the noise is amazing. Stability and grip were great, and we caught and passed other cars with ease. Gt3's and M3s were in a different league though, they just stormed past. Had some interesting tussles with caymans, suped up civics, corvets. Man it was brilliant. It you are interested in cars at all you really must go at least once in your life. Still on a high thinking about it. There were quite a few accidents on the saturday though, mainly due to the sheer number of cars on the track, one car blew its engine and dumped oil all over one of the fast sections, we came just after but bennet spotted the problem and we avoided the issue. Took 2 hours out of the day but it gave us some time to check out the cars. Sunday was my turn, didnt have the guts on Saturday due to the traffic volume. It was a little wet that morning which must have put a lot off so when the dry line appeared it was perfect. Man what a rush. Bennet was a great teacher and me a poor padawan but hell i had fun. Was spending more time looking in my mirror than looking ahead, trying not to hit any expensive cars until a firm word from Bennet to focus ahead and then i flew. It was SOOOO cool, even managed to overtake quite a few. After 2 laps i was exhausted and had done my bit, also managed to deposit alot of the pad onto the disks....opps. Had a fantastic meal in the Tiergarten restaurant, argentinian steak served on a hot hot slab taken from the carosel corner. It was tasty, better yet we met a guy who owned a GT3. He offered to take us out the next day. OMG, i was never a massive fan of porsches before but now they have my total and utter respect. It was a crafted tool made for the place. Amazingly fast and effortless with so much grip. Still they can bite though as the owner found out the next day with a spin, but thankfully he and the car were fine. Some great cars there, the alfa competition, porsches, ferraris, merc SLS's, vets, vipers and a few zeds. You can check out the pics below http://s1016.photobucket.com/albums/af2 ... ng%202011/ Totally fell in love with this Until we had a ride in this However Bennets car was the star for me, i will never forget that drive Anyways i'll shut up and link the photos, ill put some vids up later too. Thanks again bennett for the invite, the passenger laps and the tuition, what a great weekend. Time for a nap

Yup that would be us, had a good chat, loved your dads lambo. He promised you would both be attending meets in the SE, don't let us down. Man what an amazing day today at the ring. Doing my first lap tomorrow and managed to get offered some laps as a passenger in oneof the gt3 porsches, can't wait.

well it took a few hours but we got to the ring yesterday at 3. Great journey and got to drive bennets zed a fair way of the trip. Followed a muercielago down to the tunnel, and whilst crossing he came to find us. Very pleasant chap who was off to a chateau, gorgeous car. He said he had just bought a gt4 zed for his son and loved it. Lives in maidestone so we have another SE member soon   Autobahn was interesting, the zed just kept pulling and pulling to over 160 with such ease  think there was a hole in the fuel tank though when we did. Got to see the last few laps of the vlN race and wow, some gorgeous cars and lovely noises. The new Aston zugato looked amazing  , saw a few of the lexus super cars too but it was the porches that impressed, truly were made for this place. Funny thing is gt3's are two a penny here, like focuses back home. Bennets zed seems to be getting a lot of attention. He's going to take the bungs out today, lucky I bought my ear plugs. Mind you they were handy last night because of all the snoring.... Hotel is amazingly friendly, spent most of the evening in the bar with the owners. Shocking though the number of people that came up last night to ask really basic questions. Very apparent that they have come here having done absolutely no research on the track, hope they stay well away from us on the day. Off to tackle the track today, it's predicted sun all day and can't wait, thing that impresses most is the gradient of the track, that doesn't come across in the games, going to be a fantastic day. Nervous but very excited can't wait. Pics and vids to follow Â

It cracks me up how all the black alloy haters are the ones who tend to heap the most praise on when they actually see them going on a car. Fair do's they do look nice - you sure are sinking some dollar into that motor mate! Not a hater at all mate.... They often just remind me of a car that has lost it's hub caps. Normally black on black doesn't go well in my opinion, works well on others such as sunsets in particular. Those look nice though given the hint of silver

Ouch, nasty to happen on such a nice car. Lucky the woman admitted it though and left contact details. Some arnt so lucky. Couldnt believe it 2 years ago when a bloke phoned my mum saying he wanted her insurance details because of the damage she had done to his car in safe ways. Mum said what? Turns out someone had damaged his wing and left my mums number on the windscreen. She invited him out to show him her car was untouched. Some people.....

must admit im not normally a fan of black alloys on a black car, but the silver makes it stand out, love em

Will370z replied to Wasso's topic in Member Build Projects
Great little write up, she's a beauty, don't know what all the fuss is about though, she's hardly changed She's a stunner and as Darren says on the move she looks great from behind andin the mirrors, great job. So what mod next? -
Gutted to see the car go mate, ours and pauls were the little roadsters for the SE. This is a great little car and will make someone very happy, having taken it for a drive in Wales it runs very well, hate to admit it but feels quicker than mine even after the up rev. Good luck with the sale, I'm sure it will go quick, I'll take the number plate for a fiver Seriously though don't let this be the end, you still have to come to all the zed do's, my passenger seat is always available and there will be a pint at the bar for you

Good to see you got the paper work all sorted, bet you can't wait to get going behind the wheel Enjoy

Will370z replied to marzman's topic in Motorsport & Track Days
Hey Chris, Yup I will be there, really looking forward to it, little bit nervous too though, ok terrified lol. Nah can't wait, should be a great experience. Bit concerned though as my boss asked me to submit all my current work and make sure I hand it over to a colleague before I go...... We will be leaving very early on Saturday and back on Monday night. The GT racing on Saturday should show us how to tackle the ring. Any advise guys? Must remember the ear plugs for the k1 Looking forward to a great weekend, will see you in Germany. -

Will370z replied to DoogyRev's topic in Meets, Shows and Events
After dave going on about the dartford tunnel I thought I'd do a lap of the m25 and try it out, gutted as I picked the wrong direction and clockwise you don't get the tunnel you get a blummin bridge, doh! Not so fun -

Trade in Ricey Lancer for a Z4 & give him the zed?
Will370z replied to Carla's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I think they look nice with the right alloys and in the right colour, do they do sunset ?but unless you have the larger engines it's going to have very little umph to it. Took one for a test drive before I fell in love with the zed, had a fundamental problem with it as my knees were crammed up to the dash and when the roof came up It nearly decapitated me, made the salesman laugh though. Guess that wouldn't be a problem for you and ricey though. Mind you in the winter you could both see who could get the furthest spinning on the ice -

North Weald activity day 14th August
Will370z replied to Will370z's topic in Meets, Shows and Events
Good show you won't regret it. See if she will let you have a few laps -
Anyone up for another activity day on north Weald airfield for some safe fun in the zeds. I know a number of us have been before, I've gone twice and loved it. It's fantastic fun for the money and a great way to learn how the zed handles without all the safety toys. A number of us from the south have said we all ought to go together as a bigger group, would make the day so much more fun so here we go, how does the 14 th of august sound. All you need to do is register and sign up here http://www.carlimits.com/script/viewEve ... h=20110801 No need to pay until a couple of weeks before. General plan for the day is - arrive around 8-9ish and spend the morning doing the high speed bend. - lunch at local pub 12-1 - afternoon is then spent going around 2 circuits set up on the airfield. It's immense fun and only £49. Darren and I have posted some threads in the past of our previous visits so I'll try track them down Let's see how many names we get and see if we can get a good group going. You know you want to. 1. I've been told the standard jacks that come with the car are dodgy, I wouldn't use them unless in an emergency so I'd get a decent jack and do it or get a garage to do it, even then it's got to be a trustworthy one to make sure they don't scratch those lovely wheels

Cheers for all the hard work, thanks for keeping the lines of communication open and keeping us up to date, that's the important thing.
