  1. Too much information Haha, yeah good luck with that
  2. Long live the tuba, I salute you. She sure did sound good.
  3. Yeah crazy isn't it, I'm hoping sky will be flexible enough to sort something out. I burst out laughing down the phone to the direct line employee when he told me their quote.
  4. One thing I would definitely recommend is get along to one of the local meets and her some of the exhausts in the flesh, no comparison to YouTube. I've had a miltek exhaust fitted, nice quality note but a little quiet so I added some berks hfc and OMG car now sounds like a real muscle car, absolutely love it
  5. Ummm not thought about buying a classic shed. Will keeping looking for a decent quote
  6. Looks like a perfect colour match and a perfect fit
  7. Nearly up there with Jessica rabbit
  8. well I've been looking around for a cheap economical shed in preparation for the winter and to minimise all the speed bumps and pot holes that the poor zed is having to go over. Spotted a nice little Peugeot 360 diesel for 700 just the job I thought. Before buying thought I'd check out insurance quotes. Compare the Market came up with premiums of 260+, ouch. Still I know it's not necessarily the value of the car you buy that influences the insurance as I could still hit a ferrarri in the pug as easily as in the zed. Still a lot I thought. Phoned direct line this morning to get a quote and while chatting to the guy realised I would not want to take my ncb over from the zed, his initial quote was 330 but this rocketed to 770 for thriird party with 0 years ncb, WTF insurance was more than the cost of the car. Will give sky a call tomorrow to see if there is anything they can do but at this rate there's no way I'm getting a shed with insurance at that cost. How do you guys insure your shed? Multiple car policies, partners as named drivers? Any advice because this is crazy.
  9. Good luck with the merc, looks lovely. Sounds like your zed was at the start of a slippery slope so best to get shift of her. Will miss the old elephant and trombone though. Still you can't run from the gang, once a member always a member
  10. I think you have handled this very diplomatically with due consideration for the trader concerned but if I was you I would not be happy with the job and I would be asking them to fix it and I certainly wouldnt be paying them extra to do that. Then again I don't know the details or the price paid for the original job. Hope you get it all sorted.
  11. Have a great trip Sounds like you are enjoying it and the Zeds getting a lot of attention
  12. I've found hair just gets in the way of things when you have a roadster, at least that's my excuse.
  13. Perfectly normal, common noise you will get used to it.
  14. Congratulations matey, great news. Glad it all worked out really well for you
  15. Sounds great, I'm getting the impression I'm going to be doing a lot of driving, eating and drinking whiskey while I'm up there
  16. The berks HFCs will make a big difference to the sound, I fell in love all over again when I had mine put on, it's just wow. One word of warning that I was given though. I had had an up rev done prior to the HFCs which made the car run leaner. Adding the berks made the car run very very lean and I was advised to go back and have the mapping tweaked again so it was not running so lean. You may want to take it easy with the berks until you have yours tweaked.
  17. Given how much trouble my old exhaust gave to the local garage I'd like to see the thieves try and get the flippin thing off, she put up a real fight
  18. Good to hear from you guys that they are good bunch. I was impressed. I mentioned if they are active on forums and if they would be interested in our forum. They said they would but rather than come on and post all they can do they would rather meet members in person first so they didn't appear too pushy. They even said they would be happy to host an evening where zedders could go along to free dyno runs. Were keen to meet us. They were suprised there were so many zeds down in our little county. Seems more like a happy club of enthusiasts rather than a garage
  19. Oh come on papa isn't it obvious
  20. oh my, I think I'm in love http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/458-spider-2011-08-23
  21. Popped my zed in to a local garage In Guildford to have the tracking checked before the Scottish hoon and on the way out of the industrial estate I noticed a new performance tuning garage I'd never seen before. Saw a zed outside so popped in to have a chat. It's called Eurospec 2000, very friendly bunch. Spoke to one of the owners mark and some of his mechanics and they seem very knowledgable. They do remaps and have a dyno run in house. Lots of evos parked in side and out. Only just moved in there 2 months ago but they been running for quite a while in their old premises. Has anyone ever used them or had any experience? Just intrigued as they are runt on the doorstep.
