Will370z

Well just had another chat with the garage. Good news is the car is good to go - i can pick it up tomorrow morning so i will be able to attend the midlands meet wasso Bad news - the specialist garage who were supposed to take a look at the roof didnt bother as it was too risky, and didnt tell the nissan garage they weren't going to do the work. So 4 weeks later one of the issues hasnt even been looked at. Feel kinda sorry for the Nissan garage seems like they have outsourced work to complete idiots. Told them they need to fix that. They were totally embarrased and apologetic. They have taken ownership of the problem though and said if im not happy with the wheel i can take it where i want to and they will pay. They also said they will pay for the roof to be worked on by a specialist of my choice. Seems like there is light at the end of the tunnel but more hassle ahead. Just want to fire her up again and enjoy some driving. it better not rain tomorrow

Yeah i think we all lose the ability to park once we buy a zed, see it in endless meets photos lol

im not even going to mention the hassle that the bonnet realignment has caused.

Just been told the third attempt to refurb my wheels has once again failed and the wheel has come back a different colour. Not sure whether i should laugh or cry........4 weeks now i've been without rosie..... They even managed to sell my wheel accidently whilst it was being prep'd for a refurb. They put it on another car temporariliy so i could keep rosie, plan was to return and swap the wheels over when it was refurbed. Sounded like a good plan yeah.....ummm no, someone forgot to tell one of the salesman and he sold the car with my wheel on it. I was lost for words and there is a black rose 370 going around with an odd wheel somewhere. I've asked them to swap both back wheels with the brand new 370 they have in the shown room as im fed up. I love nissan garages.

Haha maybe i should contact them and up the mileage estimate. Done 1200 in the courtesy car now. Its made me realise i need a shed to save poor rosie. Trouble is its so risky buying an old shed and picking up a bad egg. Will start looking around.

Great news, good to hear they. Are taking some action. Fixing the seals made a big difference to my leaks.

Ummm thanks for posting this, i think i saw one of these the other day near guildford and i couldnt figure out what it was. Thought it looked rather nice in motion, definitely different and it caught my eye.

Id say Definitely get them changed as its the right time. Dave has a good point though, if you have a service or mot coming up id buy them upfront from a trader here and get them fitted by the garage at reasonable rates.

I pulled in to a sainsburys the other day to fill up and took a gander at the guys at the manned car wash. One guy had a brush and was sweeping up rubbish away from the car wash. A new audi 4x4 pulled up, they sprayed it with that concentrated acid and then the guy took the same brush and started washing the car........ omg.

Start is at the top end of the main straight, and the end is back at the start of the straight. You leave / queue for the next lap at either end of the pits. No official time keeping. Amazing place, so glad i went it was awesome and terrifying at the same time. The ring finished me off after 3 laps. Loved it. Seen the vid before but its worth watching again.

I admit i had the same thoughts when i was looking to upgrade my 350z. Technically yes i could have bought a car that had better handling, was faster, better put together (not just talking about the Porsche here but others as well) but ultimately it came down to a couple of things 1) Character - i love the look and character of the 370z roadster more than the others. 2) The 370 is a rare site and i like to be different 3) Cost - although the zed costs enough to run anyway im sure the others would be more. But most importantly and this may sound all sentimental but i also wanted to stay part of the community created by this forum. I have been really lucky in making a lot of really good friends here. The get togethers, meets, and holidays away have been immense fun and i've absolutely loved them. Without the zed that wouldnt have happened and i know if i changed car then that relationship would change, its sad but inevitable as the connection wouldn't be there. So for me the choice was simple and i've not looked back. I absolutely love rosie. It may not be the fastest or the most agile but it puts a big smile on my face and that is what counts. Its not just a car its a whole social scene that i've been lucky enough to get involved with. Would you get that with other cars? Maybe but i doubt it. Anyways gushing sentimentality over......
