  1. 6ft7 here, i bought the roadster problem solved.
  2. I dont drive my zed much so hardly need to refuel it very often........cough cough
  3. We have an active group of members in surrey and meet up quite regularly. Last meet at the parrot pub was a chance to meet someof the new surrey members as we have had a lot join recently. Keep your eyes peeled for up and coming meets and definitely come along asits a good chance to meet fellow zedders and see some of the cars and ask any questions you have. Must admit its quiet atm though but im sure there will be one soon, often they just start out as "hey i fancy somepub grub who wants to meet" feel free to kick one off if you fancy, im sure there will be interest
  4. Welcome, more new members in surrey Good luck with the hunt for a zed you will love it and a roadster is a best way to enjoy the zed, more chance to hear that lovely exhaust.
  5. 6ft3 is that all I found with some adjustment the zed can be very comfortable. A drive from knockhill down to worcester in one drive with no aches and pains. Not sure what to recommendother than play with the seat settings
  6. Welcome, good luck with the car hunt
  7. Thats disgusting, good work for calling them on it
  8. 5'4 - you sure you havent added a couple of inches
  9. Great video, i really do like his reviews, seems to actually know about cars and how to drive them. I guess its all personal taste. Ive seen reviews that were totally unimpressed with the gt86 and some that love it. I think if you bought it for speed you'd be disapointed but for fun around the corners it would be great. Trouble is that interior is not great and 28k is a lot of money. I like the look of the front but the back just doesnt do it for me. I agree a used porsche would be the drivers car but honesty in surrey where i live they are two a penny. One stretch of duel carriageway i saw 5 caymans / boxsters in 2 miles. thats one of the reasons i dont like them, they are too common. One could say so good they are just too popular. You dont see many 370z, in fact only ever on zed meets. Its nice to be different and i love its looks. I understand what he says about the zed. I dont find it as raw and instinctive as my old 350, there is more technology gettingin the way so its a little less fun. It is heavy but its alovely drive and has huge effortless power when you need it. You just cant throw it around. Well you can try . I think if you add a good exhaust the zed becomes a much more exciting car as the stock noise is very disapointing. But now i love driving it. Agreed if i wanted the best car for the money my choice would be a cayman but i like to be different and the gt86 wouldnt have enough power for me, so im glad i went for the zed, but then hey im biased
  10. Im sure you are after 350 zorsts but i'll sneak this one in The Stillen CBE. Or the rocket launchers as some like to call them.
  11. I love the generic description: Condition: Used: An item that has been previously used. The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended. Previously used.....um hell yeah.
  12. Funny how you seem to be having a dig at bazk for trying to get a nice courtesy car when you are quite happy to do it yourself when you car goes in for a service......guess they dont have micras at the porsche garage - perhaps they should have given you a beetle instead. viewtopic.php?f=21&t=42061&start=75
  13. Yup that looks like the car arran bought

    warm/hot

Yup very not, with the hfcs on id open the door and get a gush of hot air come up at me.
  15. Ummm i recognise that car, someone else on the forum went to see it recently (unless you posted this link before) may be worth scanning the recent threads and pming the person.
  16. A quick reply as im off out soon. 1) check for any rips down by the base of the hood, roughhly where your shoulder would be if you were sat in the car. This happens alot. 2) check the top right and left corners (inside and out) above where the Rear window is. On loads of roadsters i have seen the fabric is pulling away at these corner points. Inside you will often see the material pulling apart and patches applied. Mine waslike this but held strong for 2 years but on some you can see daylight. 3) check for any rips or issues with the seals, especially over the window. Quite a few members have had leaks because of the seals andits not fun and they are extremely expensive to replace. 4) check the footwells for evidence of leaks, often my leaks would come under the seal down the door then back in to the footwell. In all honesty if i was buying a 350z roadster again id get a hose and flood the roof and check for leaks. Best to do it ow as it totally ruins the experience afterwards. 5) repeatedly check the roof mechanism by opening and shutting the roof, it is alittle clunky but it should work with no issues. Sometimes when cold it will stick but thats a common problem. My adviceif you see anything that doesnt look right or slightly damaged either walk away or bargain for a big discount. Roofs are not cheap or easy to fix/ replace, do your homework beforehand to avoid any issues. Prime example check out some of twobears posts, she is not having much luck with her roof I would also get a committment from them that if there any issues with the roof, either the material or the mechanics then i want them to fix them. I did it on both my zed roadsters andim glad i did as both had problems that the garage agreed to resolve.
  17. Me, already replied in the other thread viewtopic.php?f=102&t=58583&start=45
  18. Now thats my kind of music video, love it
  19. Mine doesnt, there is a distinct clear gap from the window to the roof, in fact the roof lining is up and above the rubber seal so there is no way on my car that the window gets a chance to catch the roof material. If anything it would catch the rubber first and it doesnt do that. I can potentially see why it could be a problem. If the roof isnt aligned properly it could hang down over the rubber seal and then the door would definitely catch. Thats not the case for me though. im glad i dont have this issue, sorry you guys are suffering with it.
