  1. My first thought on this matter was to just get it resprayed as i wasnt sure what the shield would look like and given the cost i may as well have the respray but seeing Kevs car gave me pause for thought. It did look really good, was not immediately obvious and when you did see it it looked fine on the car, very subtle. It hadnt aged and the front of his car was mark free. it looked really good and i wished i had put that on Rosie.
  2. I wonder what Tom at TGM would charge Still under the nissan warranty so it needs to be an official nissan garage im afraid. As many people said before me: Lots of people doesn't know this is not the case. Under EU Block Exemption rules, using Nissans parts and investing in the correct diagnostic equipment means that Nissan owners can choose to use an independent specialist such as ourselves without affecting their UK warranty and that's the fact.(Company has to be VAT registered and showing Genuine parts numbers on the VAT invoice to be correct.) And IMO £250 for the second service(Engine oil,oil filter and brakefluid with a check over 1.7 hours labour) is a robbery. I offering the same service with Mobil 1 oil and genuine parts for 120 inc VAT and it will not affect your warranty. Umm thats a big saving and you could sort the squeak in my seat lol. Im tempted are you open weekends?
  3. Thanks for the tips guys, i will try and give that a go otherwise i may be making the trip over to see you kaizer. Good excuse to go and see how darren is getting on with his supercharged zed I know what you mean about ocd with noises inside the car geoff. I Sold 2 cars in the past because the squeaks and rattles drove me up the wall.
  4. Welcome to the forum, good to have you on board. Im sure many members will be using your services
  5. God that was scary, one of those coming at you like that and there is absolutely nothing you can do. Thank god i dont have to drive there
  6. Nope you definitely bought the best and the fastest colour loved my black zed just after a good wash and wax, nothing could beat the gleam from a black car. Pity 5 minutes down the road it would be filthy again
  7. Like I said, no offence meant anywhere, just strikes me as a bit of a 5 year old spec question, sorry. I always thought a car webboard was the right place for car related opinions .......... actually, it is the right place, just not this one it seems. Jee whiz mate lighten up. If i see a thread that i feel is a bit silly or that i'm not interested in I won't post in it. I dont feel the need to go storming in there and try to knock it or start off on one and boast about how many cars i own. Not impressed really, i only own one but thats plenty for me Seems rather odd you felt the need to participate if you thought it was a silly subject. Anyways back on topic Black Rose Rocks
  8. I thought it was pretty obvious that this thread was posted as a bit of good natured fun. Not quite sure why its given you a bee in your bonnet Doc.
  9. Will I didn't write the list and I don't want to say I told you so.....
  10. No black rose on there and im not counting it as pooey brown
  11. Ah thanks for the response - much appreciated and welcome to the forum. It sounds like its coming from the bottom part of the seat so that should definitely help. i will try to get hold of some. Stupid question but most of the seat underneath seems sealed via material, did you just spray up and under?
  12. Id not mess with that woman either, id be heading for the hills too
  13. Ummm tempted to come along to see how you get on, may not participate though
  14. Mention of those pies has now had me looking out the window reminiscing about the hoon
  15. lol yeah it does look like hes reversed into a huge hole
  16. My advice as i will be doing this too 1) wait til the new year to avoid all the chips from over the winter and the gritters. 2) get all 4 done at once, i have now had 3 attempts trying to get a match on my rear right wheel and each time its come back wrong... Im expecting to pay approx £85 per wheel.
  17. Lol sounds Like you are having fun there with your new DIY skills.
  18. I think you'll find it's phat. It means "pretty hot and tempting" so I'd watch your exhaust if I was you, it sounds like he has Mechanophilia. Lol thanks for the translation.
  19. Lol the suit certainly was interestng, not sure about the doule denim though lol. they couldnt get one that fitted me, guess they dont get many people over 2m trying to squash into their cars. So i grabbed one off a friend who is considerably shorter, lets just say i didnt try and stand up straight for tye sake of my future children. Cracking day though and tiff was on form. Had a gallardo spyder there which was gorgeous and a 458 italia. Now i just need to win the lottery. Then again heading on to bath afterwards i found some excellent roads with little to no traffic and got to play with rosie. God i love that car, i just cant stop smiling. Was parked up at traffic lights thursday and a guy waliking by with his dog stopped, waved and said "what is that", i replied "a nissan", "really, is it, thats fat" im not down with the kiddies and hip with the lingo but i believe from his gesticulations and demeanour that that was a compliment.
  20. After adding the hfcs to my 350z it triggered the CEL esepcially when it was cold. Resetting it normally stopped the problem though, otherwise i was going to pop it back to abbey to sort it which they normally do after an uprev.
  21. Had a great day out at thruxton today. Bought a race day experience for a friend. Great value and the sun was shining. He got to try out quite a few cars. Got fed up being a Spector and decided to get stuck in too. Had 2 laps as a passenger in this. 1.6lt turbo charged pug. Oh boy she was quick, 120mph around the corners and she stuck like glue. Tiff needel was there making all the women scream in his car, Melanie Sykes appeared later oh, oh boy she looked very very nice, really quite a hottie. Was tempted to take the aventator out. £140 for 3 laps ummmmmm I think the racing gear suits me, must do it more often
