  1. Im sure you will be fine but if that yellow key light appears dont turn the engine off and get it to the dealer asap, mine lasted a few days but it was just delaying the inevitale.
  2. Please no, im seriously considering changing to this same set up (as tarmac well knows lol) as i want some hfcs. There is a cracking video of a blue 370 in the usa and it sounds awesome. Must resist. I may be interested to listen in too......
  3. Thanks colin, hopefully this should put many owners worries to rest
  4. Id be proactive about it, in some cases they mentioned it may be done for cars as the problem occurs so i would raise the question with the dealer and get it fixed as soon as you can to avoid the flatbed. Great news though, very relieved
  5. Mine went in the exact samespot, very common but it was the perfect excuse to get the milltek exhaust and never looked back
  6. What issue with the manual gear box? First ive heard of it?
  7. Added here for reference, please see the following http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/70110-370-steering-lock-issue-recall-action/
  8. Good final outcome - see this http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/69561-important-update-370z-recall-for-steering-lock-issue/
  9. Delivered poor old rosie to aldershot nissan this afternoon after the immobiliser had shut herdown. She was yet another victim of the dreaded steerling lock issue 2 days out of warranty. Funnily enough they parked her up against a nice gtr and the mechanic said thats got the same problem as yours, 2 days out of warranty aswell. But the best news, and this will be a relief to all of you 370z owners, He said don't worry letters were prepared on thursday and are being sent out by nissan hq, a uk recall of 370s and gtrs is underway to replace the faulty steerling lock. There will be no cost to me. I recommend all 370z owners contact their local dealers and book them in before this inevitable problem occurs for you, because it will, counton it. Hopefully this means those that have already paid for the repair can be compensated. Good news guys
  10. Nice one, we should co-ordinate meet for a track day to christen our new toys
  11. This is going to be a fun day, flat truck arrived and cant get up the drive, 2nd rescue vehicle on its way to assist lol. Rosie sure does the attention when she misbehaves
  12. Is your steering lock on or off? Mine was off which made it easier to load and move around to load and unload. The trucks do have electric winches and they shouldn't use the towing eye to load on to the bed Can the truck reverse up the drive to unload? I thought that was the purpose of the towing eye, why do you say they shouldnt use it?
  13. Sorry to hear this graham. Shows you have to live life for the moment and enjoy every bit.
  14. Tut tut colin i thought guns was always spotless, i see you missed that bit lol
  15. Yup try one of the specialist insurance companies like sky, in my case they beat other main stream insurance companies and were very accomodating as i added mods to the car.
  16. Auto will have the flappy paddle there too if you need it. Lots of threads on here about manual vs auto so those should help. I had an auto for 2 weeks as a courtesy car, personally i really did not like it. With 7 gears it kept changing at what i felt was the wrong time and there was still a significant delay using the paddles. Manual was far more engaging and i bought one a year later. There are others who prefer the auto though so it's horses for courses. The 370z is an evolution not a revolution. It was a big step up from my 05 276bhp but others with the later 350zs have said there isnt that much differencewith the drive. It is less raw but more sophisticated and definitely has more technological assistance. I love the syncro rev though, down changing for corners is so much fun. I know where id want to be. I suggest taking it for a long test drive and take a manual out too and try the synco rev on both. A word of warning the exhaust note on a 370z is a massive dissappointment after the 350z, that and the auto box nearly put me off the 370z. But get a decent exhaust one and it will sing
  17. Pity i cant make this now, have fun though guys, take lots ofpics
  18. Cheers guys and thanks for the call colin. Life savers. I owe you all a pint in wales
  19. Anyone know if there is a tow point hidden behind the little square piece of plastic directly over the rear center light. Im needing to tow the car up the drive tomorrow to get it on the flatbed. My 370z bookl is back in guildford and the searches on the internet seem to contradict each other. Some say there is a hole to screw the tow eye into, others say nothingis there and others its for the fog light?.??? Has anyone investigated. I'd rather not go and try to prise it out if there is no purpose to it. Thanks Will
  20. AA just been, car completely dead so couldnt get anything off the diagnostic machine. Flatbed truck coming tomorrow morning to take me back down south. Hope they fix it by friday. Wonder how long before they do a recall in the UK Got to work out how to get it up a 40degree drive backwards tomorrow morning. I thought the plastic cover about the rear single light was for the tow hook, apparently not. Dont fancy 4 rugby players pushing at the front to get her up. May have to tow from under the car but that looks like a big no in the manual and is likely to catch the bodywork. Joy
