I had an auto 370z for 2 weeks as a courtesy car. I will admit it really put me off the car, i felt it got the gears all wrong and there was too much delay in the paddles. I went with the manual and had absolutely no regrets, i love the down changes with the syncro rev, best bit about the car. However........ whilst in wales darren took me out in Adrians 370z auto and it was markedly better than my first experience. Gear changes was very positive through the paddles and with the extra gear and shorter shifts it felt markedly quicker, i was very impressed. However i'd still go for the manual.

His leg was at a really dodgy angle. Shows how things have advanced since then, both with car safety and safety facilities at the tracks. On that video no one was doing anything for ages.

Just in case - the senna documentary film has just started on itv. Amazing driver

Only real difference is the 09 plates had the old sat nav system

Aye saw your little pick in the back of the mag. Nice one matey. Got me thinking too as my uncle and aunt have been retired in portugal for about 10 years now, they popped over last weekend and invited me to drive down with them. May have to follow some of your route

Just thought id pop over to the gtr forum to see if you had any more pics of your lovely motor and was suprised to see your epic thread had hit 17 pages, but as i scanned through i had to say i was really suprised. What a load of condescending, patronising, high and mighty, "we are better than you" members there are on there. Just because some young guy who has worked hard and saved for his dream car actually gets it and gets extremely excited about it (as would i) and rather than say well done many reply with negative comments and state the creditability of their forum is going down the pan. What a load of idiots. Anyway rant over - just wanted to say blummin well done and enjoy your gorgeous car. More pics please. And so nice to see the difference in the replies here, just goes to show the difference in mentality of the users of this place

From experience if you are wanting to add hfcs don't go for a stillen exhaust.. Its a wonderful exhaust by itself but it wont fit with hfcs. I tried berks and stillen hfcs and neither would work, they pushed the exhaust too far down to rest on the cross brace and vibrate the car. Its a known issue on the us forums. I would be tempted by he invida gemini and berks hfcs. Theres a great video on youtube of a blue 370 coupe with that setup and it sounded glorious.

Seriously you should check out darrens car, i can pretty much guarantee it will be one of the best looked after cars on the forum.

Congrats and glad you liked the zed. I remember my first test drive. The dealer warned me " you do know as soon as i turn rhis key you will fall in love." 4 years later and on my 2nd zed hes bang on. Will keep an eye out for you around hereford

Got rosie for the road and the dub for the track. Happy with that at the moment but the 240z sure is nice.

Welcome, sounds like you are being sensible in your zed hunt. Just make sure you find a gem and not jump for the first one you see and start up - its hard to resist. Good luck
