Welcome to the club and i hope you have as much enjoyment from your new Zed as i,ve had from mine over the years.

Sorry for the delay.Dinner nearly went into the dog ! I was very definately a mod... had the Lambretta,Parka, tonic mohair suit, hush puppies.. the works. Then i saw my first Corvette Stingray, Had to have one someday and 10 years ago bought an indy pace car 1978 Targa top. Shiny red leather interior.. it looked amazing but in reality was a heap of cr**. What about all you older guys ?? anyone as ancient as me ? If you are and were a Rocker then i suggest a meet on Brighton Beach !!!!

Very young 64 and still got the bug for sports cars. owned 37 over the last 42 years so i guess i,ve had a good run this far. Best apart from the Zeds was a 4.2 ltr E type back in 68. Wish i had kept it now.

My newly bought 2005 silver roadster has just 14000 miles (genuine) on the clock so i guess will go on for a few years yet . At my age ( 64 ) i think that i will become a classic before the car! This is my third Z and i still think it,s the best looking sports car around.Mind you, i did see a new Lotus Evora on the road today and in the rear view mirror it looked more like a Ferrari.Nice looking car. rog

Hi I sold my 07 plate car with the same colour seats and midnight blue to a guy who worked on the oil rigs off Scotland. He too bought the car unseen with just 14000 miles on the clock. The car was pristine with just one small dark mark on the bolster of the drivers seat ( about 1" long ). I cherished this car and it was detailed every week to a high spec.No accident damage and ran without fault for the 12 months i had it. Regards Roger

Thanks everyone who replied and i am doing some research now on uprev. The general concensus seems to indicate that the 452 Falkens will be the best choice and Tyre Spot in Darlington have quoted me £ 520 fitted for a full set so that will save over 500 on the Potenzas.Plus half price wheel alignment. The info available on this sight is just awesome. One question, off the subject, i received, concerned my view of the performance difference between my 07Z and this latest 05Z. Well i can only say that this one is sluggish in comparison. However, the tax is nearly half the price and i can use more of the rev range. Will almost certainly buy my old car back though when it comes up for sale. Gonna spend another four hours browsing tonight... jusT wish i was as savvy as some of you crowd about computers. In my youth we used chinese counting beads and Encyclopedia Brittanica !!! Best regards Roger

Thanks everyone. Great to be back amongst " Real" sports car enthusiasts.Must say the new car is good but i miss the extra horsepower of my 57 plater. Anyone chipped their car ? and if so, what performance improvement was there? Also another question..... i put new Potenzas on my old car at over £ 1 grand before i sold it ( must be nuts ) and now i,m gonna re shoe this car with Falkens. Has any one any view on the 912s OVER THE 452s ? Hope to hear from you Rog.

Hi everyone. Back on the scene again after buying another Z. I sold my last 57 plate, midnight blue one last July and regretted it immediately. Just found a genuine 2005 soft top with only 14k miles on the clock ! All the relevant M.O.T. certs and the car,s in as new condition. Only fault so far is that the Rays need re spraying as they are flaking a little. Cars been Sorned for two years as the previous owner bought a Porsche. ( fool ) Good to be back.

Hi Martin Put myself on the list for this event last year, Deffinately coming over Friday and staying till early Sunday. Be pleased to give any help i can. Can you put me down for the buffet please ? Just gonna look for some accomodation now. Did i read somewhere of a convoy and a route map ? I live close to Scotch Corner on the A1 North Yorkshire. Thanks a lot Roger ( mrt ) -
Hi Count me in ... two hour drive at speed limit. Should take a little less ! mrt rog

hi. Does it have to be a roadster as i,m looking for a Beemer ! My Zed is a 57 plate with 13,700 miles. Midnight blue pearlescent with light grey leather seats. Brand new Potenzas ( two weeks ago ) Gt pack.. but no sat nav. Ie. rays, bose, brembos. Cheers and good luck with your search. MRT

It used to be my favourite program but now they have lost the plot ! I bet that many fans are very dissapointed at the meaningless content that now seems to prevail. Whatever happened to car analysis ? I have turned it off half way through the last two programmes. Think they need to re invent themselves. The old model should qualify for the scrappage scheme. MRT

Great wheels.. What sort are they and what size tyres please. Would look superb on my San Marino blue Zed ! Just bought new Bridgestones though so would have to fit. MRT
-
Hi. Let me know when you have the centre cap and i will come down to buy, or maybe we can meet half way ? Hope it,s not too long ! MRT
-
Hi. Just a few questions. 1. Do you know if these will fit straight on to my standard 57 plate Z ? I have Rays with new 18 " Bridgestones on currently, 2. If not do you know what modifications are necessary ? 3. If they have to be collected... where are you ? 4. Do you have the missing centre cap now ? Could be very interested and have the cash available. Cheers MRT San Marino blue with light grey leather, gt pack.

I,m in North Yorks and it,s white over. Wouldn,t dare take the z out in this. Using my front wheel drive c4 instead.

Hey thanks for the replies guys. Will certainly be getting a second opinion.Let you know the results.

Hi all Can anyone tell me if it,s usual to get a slight burning smell when pushing the car at revs over 5k My car is a 2007 uk gt with just 8500 miles and i,ve had it for a month now. Goes like stink and no other problems apart from a slight clunk from the clutch pedal spring when depressing. Spoke to Nissan about this and they say not to worry... not a problem. Thank

Sorry everyone ! got to work out how to post my photos on here ! More involved than i thought and i,m pre historic ! 62
-
Wow ! Thanks for the warm welcome everyone and it was interesting to note that my colour is San Marino blue and that it is limited to 2007. Gonna have to come down to the z fest to see some other cars. Don,t know about the music though ! more like the 60,s for me i,m afraid. Be back in soon. Regards Roger

Thanks for the welcome evryone.. That was fast ! Was looking at a Mitsubishi Gto that has been modified professionally. The young man who ones it has spent over 26k on it and done all the mechanical mods up to stage 8 with over 600 bhp ! Very tempted but it was just too fast 0 to 60 in 3 secs. However. the z is a completely different animal and a real joy to drive and cherish. As i said before, this is my second one and whilst i have owned a lot ( over 40 ) of different cars ,the z just has a special character of it,s own.I,ve been advised to put a Nismo exhaust on, but to be honest, i think that the whole car is perfect just as it is so maybe keep it all original and watch the mileage. Found my car on ebay but was amazed at how many are for sale on Pistonheads. Just gonna take a few photos. Anyone out there got a dark blue metallic Z ? All the best Roger
-
Hi everyone and hope to be chatting soon as. Got my 57 z yesterday and haven,t stopped smiling since. This is my second one and they just get better and better. Will post some pics soon but it,s dark blue metallic with very light grey seats,Rays wheels and everything else as standard G.T. pack. Gonna get involved as much as i can as i,m semi retired now and would like to join in as many events as possible. I live just outside Richmond, North Yorkshire, about a mile from Scotch Corner so it,s handy to drop on to the A1M for travelling around. My U.K. car has just 8400 miles on so it,s virtually new although there is a small scratch on the drivers seat. Any one have any suggestions here. Spent the day cleaning the car yesterday using tips found on this site. Hard work but well worth it eh ! Just trying to convince the wife to let me park it inside the lounge french windows That,s about it for now.. be onboard later. Good luck and great motoring. Roger
