Cars just come back from Falcon and it's started locking itself when I,m away from the car and without pressing the fob !

Bit dangerous if I leave the keys in the car for more than 1 minute.

Is there a switch somewhere to stop this ?

Cars never been driven hard. I sold it three years ago with 16 k miles and regretted it. Swore I would buy it back if it ever came up.

Saw it advertised up in Edinborough and it had only done 6 k miles more so no brainier.

It was stone chipped, front banana bush came out after 500 miles then the flywheel started surging !

Changed the plugs,cleaned throttle, cleaned mars had an Uprev, still hesitating. So off came the clutch and DMF, showed scorch marks and the DMF had a lot of play.

This is my fifth zed now and it's been a nightmare one way or another but I,m getting there.

Will pm you with the cost of my wax oil as I don,t want to tread on Falcons toes.

Saw yours coming off the ramp and then mine went in for oem dual mass and clutch with only 24 k miles !

Since then they had the car in this week for upgraded discs,pads, replaced brake lines,refitted Invidia exhaust, ( local garage fitted one section back to front ! )

Then they did a complete clean,de rust and wax oil underneath.

Can,t speak highly enough of Falcon .Deane (pronounced Dane ) and his team are highly professional and keep a very tidy workshop.

Lots more work going their way as the mods progress.

Delsey.. Looks like I may have a little room to play with. Be interesting to see the fit tomorrow and if it works could save me the cost of two tyres.

Buster, thanks for the info. Those rears must look awesome. Any noticeable difference in handling ?

As you suggested two weeks ago, the lowering has really improved the look already and is not detracting from the classy look of the car.

Had it waxoiled yesterday and that makes the underneath look much better.

Having the Z emblem embossed into the headrests soon.

Going fo a run over the Dales tomorrow for some photography so will post up some pics

Thanks for that gm .Spoke to mitz before I lowered when I was considering 245 front and 275 rear which seems the norm when lowered. Just trying to save the current rears.

I presume you moved from original setup on rays. Did you notice any difference in the ride ?

Nice job there so far. I.ve got a project for my frost grey leather headrests and the side doors leather trim panels. Involves embossing. Might be something you could handle ?

Continuing modifications , I have lowered the car on Teins by 17 mill front and 14 mill rear.

Current wheels fit and are volks gtc,s

sizes 9.5 j front and 10.5 rear.

current tyres... 235/35/r19 front et 21

255/35/r19 rear et 24

I,ve been advised 245 front 275 rear

question ... can I put the rear tyres on front (255 ) and 275 rear ? will the fronts fit at 255 now its lowered.

My current rears are hardly worn.

Yeah. Might make it over if its dry. Cars just had some mods and lowered.

Got the same combo with volks gtc,s to set it off. Being lowered today . pic up this weekend.

New DMF cured my other problem.

Cobra HFC problem returned.

Forgot to mention i also fit 30 mill rear and 20 mill front spacers on the standard rays. No doubt without they will work without spacers when lowered but with ?

Advice please.

I,m fitting 245/35/19 on 9.5 Js sfront and 275/35/19 on 10.5 J,s this week and plan to lower 17mill front and 14 mill rear .

As I have a brand new set of Micheln ssp,s on my standard Rays..... can I run them once the car has been lowered as I would like to swap them over for winter.

As always, your advice would be appreciated.
