  1. Like said without the re-map you wont notice,my comment was on performance,if you have the map, plenum & decent y you will feel a big difference.
  2. sounds like the performance model,1 up from base or the t model.
  3. Searching my350z i narrowed it down to stillam or motordyne,i went for moterdyne, unless your having a re-map imo its a waste of time
  4. Thought exedy did both clutch & lightened fly.
  5. Ide avoid vw & ford soot pushers, injector pumps can be a nightmare, agree about the focus petrol but its very rare to see for £500 that are any good, search the autotrader on line, search a big area, max price£500 and private, the seach wil return hundreds.
  6. Try mvtech,i think they use a uk machinist & may be able to do the 10mm,i was impressed by the quality & price
  7. At that money ide be looking at a 2000 ish megane, vectra or a neon, petrol or deisel.
  8. Yes the shims are only 3mm,your better off going 15mm,mvtech do 15mm,good quality & only £60,the prob with 10mm on hubcentric is the bolt holding them on can only be 10mm or smaller(depth).thats lots of load through such a small nut,ive played about with spacers on standard rays & i found the best set up is 15mm fronts&20mm back or 15mm all round, anything bigger detracts the quality of the drive imo though does look good.
  9. Im sure your the only person who has ever bought a zed without looked into running costs,i thought the thread was locked to early,it was quite an addictive ,what were you quoted for insurance? if you bought from a dealer be prepaired to take a big hit, dont spam but get your posts up & do a for sale post, better still stick the motor away & save up for the insurance
  10. Had the plen & re -map done at abbey gains were about 12bhp but due to the re-map felt much more, cars in abbey having moterdyne y & art de-cat with race cat, will post the further gains tomorrow.

    Brakes!

Never go cheaper with your brakes, zmanalex or mark@abbey are your best bet.
  16. +1 They cover so little, had one on my van, cost me£400,inj pump went, claimed on warrenty final bill came to £1900 they paid the first 1k,my local mechanic said he could of done the whole job for 1k,would of saved me £300 not having it
  17. Some of them have a metal backing plate, undo it so its still on but lose then check the reception,if its better you can re-fit it with a small rubber o ring preventing the metal of the stubby touching the body.
  18. This thread seems to go knowhere amazed you never got a quote before you bought, you can get multi car policy or use the ncb on the zed,how much is your quote?
  19. Tim@envy covers surrey,he's doing mine in a couple of wks, prices arnt to bad & read some good reports on here about his work.
  20. imo its only worth 8-8 1/2k,its a buyers market,if he sells it for 10k he prob paid 7-8k for it,if the dealer can buy if for that money & your prepaired to search for 1 your find it for that sort of money.
  21. Doubt very much you will regret it but if you do it will be an expensive mistake,by buying from a dealer you will lose at least 25%,my advice would be buy at the right price privately,if you want to sell you should not lose any money, goodluck anyway.
  22. yes you have done the right thing,if you realy want 1 you would of gone, unless having 1 is getting you out of bed early with excitement about looking for a zed, your better off waiting,i wanted a zed on a tuesday had it by thursday, best car ive ever owned & even though ive spent 1000s making it how i want it i dont regret a second of it, i bet your hard work on the weekly supermarket shop.
