  1. Yes, Lotus have confirmed he's left. Gerard Lopez has replaced him according to The BBC. Pete
  2. Welcome along. One of the members on here (Ken) keeps a database of GT4's, he may be able to identify it by the reg number. Pete
  3. Yes, you are what you are and I'm very happy just as I am. Could have done better I guess considering my qualifications but never had the drive to get on. Pete
  4. Classic Adult Rock from an 80's band that I only discovered quite recently. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmzzPu32nO0 Pete
  5. Now we know why women have a longer life expectancy . Pete
  6. As I'm pretty local, I usually pop over about 2 o clock for a few hours on Friday, Wasso's already busy detailing his car by then , Pete
  7. Can't give you a definitive answer but I believe the cubbies are different. I know that the cubby Dave Nurrish supplied for his SatNav system wouldn't fit into a facelift. Pete
  8. Read a report today that Caterham are on a last warning from their owner Tony Fernandez, who will pull sponsorship at the end of 2014 if they don't start scoring points. Also, there are reports of a new American team for 2015 Haas Racing, currently running a NASCAR team and no relation to the F1 team run by Carl Haas in the 70's. Pete
  9. It's no better or worse than other forums I frequent. Then again I only have a 2.5mb connection . Pete
  10. Yes, Zed is twitchy but the only other high performance RWD I had, a Capri 2.8i was worse, much worse. Pete
  11. Welcome along. Facelift Sunsets are very uncommon . Pete
  12. Front end needs some work but overall a very nice design. Pete
  13. Why not a V6 2.0 Turbo? Seeing as their partners Renault have built a V6 1.6 Turbo for F1 why not a detuned and stretched version of that in a road car, putting out around 350 bhp. Back in the 80's, BMW based their F1 turbo engine on a block found in saloon cars. Pete
  14. 2 things to consider here, first of all if you keep your revs down to 3,000 (which I find sufficient for day to day driving) then you'll be O.K. Secondly, it's important not to put the engine under heavy load, ie hard acceleration from 30 in 6th gear or straining the engine in a high gear up a steep hill. By using 95 Ron you will be down something like 5% on power and 2-3% on fuel economy. Rather than drive around panicking when I can't get Super I simply put £20 of 95 Ron and then fill up when that's gone. Pete
  15. Here you go. http://www.damd.co.j...ladyz04_bm.html Around £3,600 for the entire kit. £900 for the bumper . Pete
  16. O.K, we have a RHD Zed and looking in the background there's a sign with something that looks like Japanese/Chinese writing so maybe something originating in Japan? EDIT, Special order from Japan apparently. Pete
  17. Because it is aluminium alloy and so cant rust - it would be interesting to know whats causing the corrosion and how to repair it properly - arent there any paint experts out there? Yes, strictly speaking rust is Iron Oxide. Pete
  18. Yeah, beats my 7 years quite easily. Pete
  19. Welcome along..at last . Pete
  20. Yes, there's no way this should be registered as PLG. PLG stands for Private Light Goods and not as I once thought Propane Liquid Gas . I'm no expert on this but a quick read on the subject reveals that early imports were registered as PLG through a loophole that was closed years ago. They were imported as PLG over 1500cc as the DVLA had left off the emissions from the importation form for PLG vehicles. Something very strange about this car. Pete
  21. That's a auto JDM, on a 10 plate. HOW MUCH... This is something of a mystery. It must never have been registered in Japan for it to qualify for a 10 plate and seeing how it was manufactured in either 2006 or 2007 that would mean it stood around for a long time. I'm not saying its impossible but by 2006 very few JDM's were being imported, so why import one in 2010 when the £ to yen exchange rate would have been so unfavorable, beats me . I've never actually seen a facelift JDM although I've seen one or two for sale on pistonheads. Also, this car is missing the aero kit so it isn't top spec as stated in the advert. Pete

    Can't come quickly enough. Pete
  23. It's a late registration as it's an Irish import (check out the wheels). Will have been sitting at a dealers for a couple of years. Pete
