You learn something new everyday - 70kg heavier is a good wack!! Yes, the weights can be found on the 350Z wikipedia page under specifications. They are in lbs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_350Z#Models 70kgs is certainly a considerable amount of weight for what was a just a facelift so there must have been a lot of undocumented chassis changes. Redesigned front bumper, Upgraded headlights, Rays standard fitting. One thing not often mentioned is that the facelifts gain an extra 70 kgs for some strange reason so the extra 20 bhp is mainly negated. Pete

Came across this one recently, taken in 1971 I think. This cat together with its sister were the first 2 cats my parents owned. Although you can't see it very well in this photo he had a perfect inverted V shaped white patch over his nose and therefore went by the rather unusual name of Venose . Pete

Nope, its not an 380RS (clue is in the above pic) and if it was it'd be worth £20-30k possibly more. When Nissan planned on bringing the Nismo to The U.K the price was set at over £50k and only one car was ever made to U.K spec. No one knows what happened to it after the journos tested it out. EDIT, It was actually The Nismo S-Tune that was scheduled to be sold in The U.K, these predated the Nismo by a couple of years. Pete

Yes, in the vast majority of cases engines are good for 200k provided the correct fuel is used and the car is serviced as per schedule. When I was younger I always went for the most expensive car I could afford without thinking about the running costs but I'm far more circumspect these days and keep a fair sized contingency fund available "just in case". I once got bitten by a huge bill for a second hand Lotus I foolishly bought and since then I've been very cautious. Pete

Seems there was no auto for The U.S Market at least, JDM, I've no idea. One of the problems is there appear to be 2 versions of The Nismo. the 2006 DE engined one and the 2007 HR engined beast and its difficult to find more than a handful of photos of the interior. This one does seem genuine though, I believe there was a separate production line for the Nismo so maybe this one was a one off special order for someone with connections to Nissan in The U.K. Yes, that rear end is pretty dire really. I can only find photos of U.S Nismo's and can't find an auto, they also have a button populated steering wheel which this one doesn't. Need to do some more research but the one advertised looks like its been imported from new. I wouldn't worry about an odd repost, I don't get time to read every post on this forum and I'm at home all day . Pete
