Can't help with any of the bits but the scratches on the arm rest are there on any Zed I've ever looked at. Most are far worse than that, but it's a fairly easy fix I believe. I'm sure someone who's done the fix will be along soon to help you out. Pete

I think the dealer has an out of date Glass's guide . We paid £17,900 for our 08 plate with 7,000 on the clock.....almost 4 years ago! (and ours was fitted with the admittedly not great Birdview SatNav) Pete

+1 on that. Pete

Parked mine in Tesco today (usually shop at ASDA). Down the far end of the car park there were about 60 spaces and about 10-15 cars parked up. Found a space with a 3 car gap either side. Came back within 10 minutes and there's a Merc 230 convertible parked right next to me, all the other spaces still unoccupied. Merc was so close I could only open the door about a third of the way. Why do people do this? Good job there was no visible damage, the last person to ding one of my cars learned a valuable and costly lesson. Pete

I agree and am shocked at that price. Pretty much makes no sense to buy second hand (which I did) Yes, I also bought mine second hand from a member on here. I paid £240 but they were less than a month old when he sold his Zed on impulse and bought a 911. Alex supplied these to him originally. Pete

Here a few of our previous cats. This is Beauty. She was a feral cat that I'd first seen in our lane as long ago as 1997. In 1998 I spotted her with a solitary black kitten in tow and in 1999 she settled in our garden with 2 kittens. Eventually we coaxed her inside and she lived happily with us until last year. This was one of the 2 kittens that Beauty brought into our garden. We called him Scaredy as he would run off whenever someone visited us. A larger than life character he used to vanish for days and sometimes weeks but he always came back, quite often covered in battle scars. He sadly passed away last year aged 14. Finally, Suzie. She was the longest lived cat we've ever owned, arriving in our garden as a fully grown cat (and pregnant) in 1985 and lived until 2004. A very quiet cat who loved sitting on your knee and getting into the bed with you (where she had her kittens) Pete

How cute is that . I thought about one of these, a Bengal or a RagDoll but read that they shouldn't really be let out of the house as they're likely to be stolen and don't have the fear factor that moggies seem to have and can succumb to things like HIV and other feline diseases. Pete

Lol. Check out Bandit and Fuzzy. Cute cats. He's just an ordinary moggie. His mum is a longish haired Grey and White (mainly white) and his dad a tabby, although how on earth you would know this in an outdoor cat is a mystery . Pete

As far as I know they can't be converted. Pete

I had this problem fitting mine, the solution was to fit it on angle. Of course, it may be that yours is unfittable but I nearly gave up several times. The main thing about fitting it at an angle is that the fittings at the bottom won't reach what it's supposed to fit into. I solved this by wedging in a block of wood on each side and screwing the fittings into these which also secures the wood blocks. Pete

After much thought we decided to get another kitten straight away. I've found that the pain of losing a pet can to a certain extent be alleviated by jumping straight in at the deep end and getting another one. Anyway, here he is, the picture doesn't really do him justice but his markings are quite unusual. Don't have a name for him yet but suggestions are welcome . Pete

Americans just don't get F1. The thing is they've been brought up watching sports like baseball, ice hockey, grid iron football and basketball, sports that have a break in the action every few minutes. It's the same with motorsports like Nascar and Indy Racing, they throw a yellow flag when they need an ad break. This is one of the reasons why football has never threatened traditional American sports, 45 minutes is way to long for your average American to retain his/her concentration. Of course, you can have ad breaks in F1 , like in the dark days when ITV showed all the races but F1 is shown on U.S TV by subscription but viewing figures are pretty low compared with The U.K. Another problem that Americans have is having to leave The U.S on a full time basis to learn their trade in Europe. Right now I can't think of a single American good enough to race in F1, you have Rossi and Daley, midfield GP2 runners at best and a few semi decent Indy drivers but it says something when Danica Patrick finished 3rd in The Indy 500 and actually won at least one oval race . As I said a week ago..Domenicali out Brawn in..!!! Posted 07 April 2014 - 16:22 Let me just float this idea past the Forum. Domenicali sacked by Ferrari and Senor Ross (Ive gone fishing) Braun returns to the Scuderia "Family" .. Poor Stefano No way Brawn is going back but Ferrari can wish Won't make any difference who they bring in right now, the car is simply not good enough and they're stuck with it for the rest of the season. Here in the U.K the main "problem" is not the police but the speed cameras that take photos, both fixed and mobile and there's plenty of them. If you get photographed then that's it, you'll get a ticket, if however the police catch you speeding by either following you or taking a hand held roadside reading they have the discretion of giving you a good telling off or ticketing you, if you eat humble pie you've got a fair chance of getting away with it. Keep in mind that in The U.K Police cars are not fitted with forward facing speed cameras so they can't log the speed of oncoming traffic. Generally speaking you are allowed 10% plus 2 mph, so 35 in a 30 limit, 57 in a 50 limit and so on but this is not set in stone, you can get a ticket at 10% above the speed limit and I've heard stories of getting tickets at less than that. Each Police area will have its own rules . I believe its much worse in parts of The European continent...France is especially bad I've heard. Pete

Yes, I also did this with a 3mm shim but once I found out about Ebized's 370Z removed them pronto. Pete

We owned one from 2002-2005 and had loads of electrical issues. Luckily it was a leased company car so we didn't have to deal with Audi, nevertheless, things were so bad that at one stage we had 2 hire cars from the lease company sitting on our drive. It broke down early in the week, they took it away leaving a hire car returned the car a couple of days later but didn't take the hire car with them only for a completely different problem to occur a couple of days later resulting in yet another hire car, quite funny really. I actually really liked the car when it was running properly. Problems were mainly related to ignition and door locks and we had to call them out about 10 times in all. Pete

They look fantastic. Just curious but how do you check/adjust the tyre pressures, do you need a special tool? Pete

Thanks for all your kind words. It's been a tough few days, nearly all of our cats have lived to a good age but to lose one so young has been quite devastating. Pete

That's what I was thinking, my battery died after the Zed remained unused for a couple of months and it was only a couple of years old. Pete

This is interesting. The F.I.A have released a statement saying that Haas F1 is approved and that they are still considering an entry from a team called "Forza Rossa". A quick google reveals that Forza Rossa is the main Ferrari dealership in Bucharest, Romania and you can't help thinking that this is some sort of second Ferrari team, similar to what we see with Torro Rosso and Red Bull. No word on when a decision will be made on this team but an F.I.A official described their entry application as "High Quality" Pete
