Hard to say, in situations like this the Police are in a no win situation, had they let the car continue there was a very high chance of a head on and an entire family wiped out. Very difficult decision for the police. Pete

Still doesn't look too bad to me in Snowdonia, a few showers on Saturday afternoon, Sunshine and occasional heavy showers on Sunday. Wrexham weather isn't great though, showers Saturday, heavy showers most of Sunday. The problem with this type of weather in North Wales is that the showers are very hit and miss so we could get lucky (or unlucky). Ironical that today there isn't a cloud in the sky up here . Pete

To be fair if that was an 08 HR it would have been properly repaired and not declared as a Cat C. That's one of the problems with the Cat system as I see it , it demonizes older cars that have been repaired. Then there's the safety aspect, a Cat C will have to have a VOSA test, a newer car with similar damage won't, doesn't make sense to me . Pete

I've never owned or driven a Z4M but followed one once . O.K, the full story is I bought a set of wheels, way back in 2011, from a guy who traded his 350Z in for a Z4M and had to follow him from our meeting point back to his house to get the wheels. Got talking to him and in general he was very pleased with it, the only thing that was bugging him was the amount of time it was off the road about 6 weeks in the 4 months he'd owned it. Electrical problems that proved difficult to fix, indeed it was due to go back again with another problem. The car had a dealer warranty so just annoying more than vast expense. I don't know that much about The Z4M, I'm guessing its a complex beast, but I do know that The 2.0 Z4 that Caroline had brand new had to go back to the main BMW dealer in Chester on 4 occasions for warranty fixes my Zed now 8 years old didn't need any warranty work and the only fault it has developed is the clicky axle. In fact in the 70's and 80's I owned no less than 3 Datsun Cherrys and my ex wife owned 2 of them, all brand new and not a single fault with any of them. Pete

White is a pretty rare colour, mainly because it wasn't an option in The U.K until 2008. the last year of production. So you're looking at either an import, a respray or a wrap. Azure Blue is possibly the most desirable colour, plenty of them about but expect to pay a premium for one. Pete

I don't know, I've never had occasion to remove the console and I've never seen them for sale on EBay, I guess any conversions are entire units removed from write offs. Pete
