I think NW police only offer it in 30 limits. If it was where I think that's a 60. That's right, it's only offered in 30 limits as this is where the vast majority of pedestrians are killed or injured. The camera was were you thought it was it's often there and I spotted it on my way back from Sunday lunch. Pete

I'll eat my hat if anyone else on here has driven one of these. An Austin Princess Vanden Plas with a 4.0L Rolls Royce engine . O.K so I only drove it 5 miles because my ex father in law drunk but what an experience . Pete

Spotted in Love Lane car park in Mold late this afternoon. Unusual Zed, going by the reg a GT and bog standard except for a long nosed bumper which I've been unable to identify (similar in length to the vielside V2 but definitely not one). There was no number plate on the front, unless it was a retracted one, the bumper was also smoothed and unusually for an aftermarket bumper had headlight washers fitted. Hopefully a work in progress as the bumper looked a bit out of place. Reg was ** 53 GTZ Pete

Nope, nothing different. I only check my E-Mails every month or so, unless of course I'm expecting something. Most of the junk goes into the spam box anyway and AOL are pretty good at diverting suspicious stuff there too. I always assume that if anyone important like the bank or doctor wants to contact me then they'll phone or write. Pete

That's bound to clash with one of Caroline's soaps . Pete

Some more info on both Haas and Forza Rossa. Haas have now confirmed they will not be on the grid until 2016, the good news however is that they have abandoned plans for a continental base and are looking at setting up shop in The South of England. There's no official confirmation of Forza Rossa's entry but its understood that the team has had a letter of intent from The FIA. There will probably not be an announcement until they pay the $20 million entry fee which has to be before the 23rd of June. Pete.

With 160,000 or so sold in The States, compared with 9,000 here you would think they'd be very common but the sheer size of America makes them a fairly uncommon sight. I've been to The States 4 times since I've had my Zed and have seen exactly 4 of them ! Pete

I doubt it. I've done some more research and found out that they already have a base in Continental Europe and are just waiting for the go ahead to build their car and hope to get it ready for 2015 and not 2016 as I said earlier. What's interesting is which engine they'll use. Rumour has it that Haas will have Ferrari engines and that'll mean that they'll be supplying 4 teams which is the maximum under FIA rules, so Renault would be the obvious alternative. Not sure what'll happen with Caterham. While I don't think there are any takers at the moment, the rumours are that both BMW and Toyota are considering a return to F1 and as all 26 entries are now filled they may well have to buy out one of the smaller teams at some stage, so Caterham will probably struggle on in the hope of a big bucks deal in a couple of years time.... We shall see. Pete

News is filtering through from multiple credible sources that Forza Rossa have been awarded a place on the 2015 grid. However, it would appear that both Forza Rossa and Haas F1 are unlikely to be seen on the grid until the start of the 2016 season. http://www.grandprix247.com/2014/06/03/fia-set-to-approve-forza-rossa-f1-entry/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Yallaf1com+(Grand+Prix+247) Pete

My visit to Nissan West London - 240Z and 370Z Nismo content

240Z design has stood the test of time so well . Pete -
When I switched my house and contents insurance to Lloyds TSB they wanted to know if I'd made a claim in the last 10 years ,which unfortunately I had. I'm surprised that motor insurance don't ask for a 10 year history as drink driving seems to effect your policy for many more than 5 years . Pete

Please sign against the addition of more ethanol

Octane rating of ethanol is 113 ! Pete -
I think this has been posted before but if you enter your postcode into the link below you can get a breakdown of all the crime within a mile of your area. I think insurance companies are only interested in the first 3 digits of your postcode, so despite the fact I'm in the middle of nowhere I get lumped in with a couple of moderately high crime areas miles away. Just 12 crimes reported in March 2014 for my complete postcode . http://www.crime-statistics.co.uk/postcode Oete

They usually offer you a few months free to chew things over...well they did with me when I was broke . Either that or they'll try and come up with a different package for you. Don't know what happens with the box, at one time you could apply for a viewing card to carry on picking up Free to Air channels but no need for that now with Freeview. Pete

I know just how dangerous being a spectator at a rally is. I was standing on the outside of a bend in a forest in Wales, a good 25 yards if not slightly more from the forest track. Stood there for a good hour watching the cars go past until one driver ran slightly wide and sprayed me with small pebbles. The guy standing a few feet away wasn't so lucky, got hit on the forehead with a table tennis ball sized rock...ouch. Pete

Sadly you need 5.0mb internet speed to stream Netflix in HD, I only have half of that, just about enough for YouTube (some of the time) Pete

Postcodes can make a huge difference. I pay £340, have been driving since 1969 and the only claim I've ever made was in 1997 when my car was stolen, recovered the next day with minimal damage (around £1k to replace the locks and steering column). What annoys me is that I could give you my car keys and my postcode and I very much doubt that you'd be able to steal my car......partly because I have the wrong postcode and can't get it changed Pete

Yes, I can't see any other damage, even your Zunsport looks unscathed. Looks like The Zed stood up pretty well compared to the other cars. Pete

10years of driving and my first speeding ticket...
JetSet replied to SkylineV35's topic in Off Topic Discussion
There seems to be some regional variations to qualify for speed awareness courses. I don't know the full details but North Wales police who have one of the strictest policies only allow SAC's to those caught in a 30 zone and the limit is just over 40 mph. I know someone doing 59 in a 50 zone who didn't get offered the course (first offense) and as far as I know North Wales has no fixed cameras in anything other than 30 zones. I believe that now and again they'll use a mobile camera on The EVO Triangle and will not offer an SAC to those caught speeding (from reading other forums). Other police forces could be different like Scotland where they don't have SAC's. Pete -
There couldn't have been far of 50 each day which was the limit for the drives Thanks Dave. So it was 49 Zeds and one Jag then. Actually 50 Zeds, a porker, a jag & a scooby estate And an LHD Infiniti Pete

My habit of parking in the furthest possible corner of supermarket car parks has severely restricted positive comments (and the fact that it's Silver) . Sure, I've had plenty of good comments over the years, usually from workmen who come to the house and I've seen passengers in overtaking cars rubber necking at me . Caroline gets a lot more attention in her roadster as you would expect really . Pete
