  1. It can serve as either. It comes with the bits you need to convert it for hens. The nesting box at the back can be used as a litter tray area but we've converted it into an extra sleeping area, the litter tray will go onto the concrete slabs. We're also going to insulate the inside and add more sleeping space (enough for 3 cats) Pete
  2. Got our mini cattery finished this week, had to put it on slabs, 21 of them, and cover what used to be a lawn with 5 tons of chippings....hard work. Don't worry, the cats won't live in there ,it's just to house the females when they're in season. Pete
  3. Yes, that's the way it looks to me too. The wheel nuts should have an absolute minimum of 7 or 8 complete turns on the stud and 10 is recommended. Pete
  4. I'm down there 4 or 5 times a week, park up either close to the recycling depot or the click and collect parking area, never had any problems. Can't think of anyone around here who is in the club who has a blue 370 or 350, however Caroline sees a blue 350Z on her way to work in Mold on a fairly regular basis. Pete Flat Dark Blue too. Midnight blue is it? Only Zed I see around Mold, aside from mine, is a dark silver Roadster HR That's probably Caroline's twilight grey, I'm often in Mold too, at least once a week, Silver 350Z, hard to miss really, lol. Don't know of any midnight blue's in this area either. Pete

  6. Me too, I used to drive pretty fast in my younger days, thing was though the sports cars I had only had like 90 bhp. Pete
  7. Gun laws will never change, American reaction will be very predictable, they'll go out and buy even more guns, good news for the gun lobby. Pete
  8. I believe it's so. 'Jetset' is the one to ask. Basically yes. When I worked at the Stanlow Labs (Shell)donkeys years ago you achieved this by adding Tetra Ethyl Lead. This cheap and unsafe dirty method was abandoned in the 70's so the oil companies came up with alternative octane boosters. I've no idea what they actually use these days but iso-octane and toluene will certainly boost the octane rating. From what little I remember basic gasoline has an octane rating in the mid 80's BTW. Pete
  9. Looks to have been further modded since Chris owned it, different wheels, U.K front number plate, black door handles, a few random stickers and the front end looks to have changed as well, however, I'm fairly confident it's the same car, Carbon 3D side skirts are pretty rare. EDIT, My confidence has taken a knock, those look to be Nismo skirts on The O.P'S photos. Pete
  10. My daughters test was cancelled after she'd been sitting in the test centre waiting room for 15 minutes. She was first test of the day and the examiner was late phoning in sick. Pete
  11. I think that is Chris's (Atkin666) old car. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/64781-atkin666-build-thread-update-1572013-new-pictures/ Pete
  12. ZManalex sells these genuine Nissan parts for £137.50 including VAT and postage. Serviceyourcar in Buckley fitted them for around a £100 plus VAT....I had to have both mine and the wife's Zed done. Pete
  13. Yep exactly. Not really heard anything stating what was kept there or anything yet just that it was hazardous materials. BBC reported Sodium cyanide !! Pete
  14. Health and safety is very low down the list of priorities in China, they still have half a dozen or so mining disasters every year. Back in the day when China was pretty much a secretive closed society (not that long ago really) we probably wouldn't have even heard about this for several months or even decades. Pete
  15. I think DJTIMO has a charged 3.8. Pete
  16. I believe that from the top of the wheel arch, no tread should be showing. Pete
  17. I used to charge things up using the rear connector and placing the object to be charged, usually my camera batteries, inside the centre console lid. I guess that the wire was damaged by opening and closing the lid constantly. Pete
  18. Yes, in my case I traced it to a faulty cable. Pete
  19. Nice shiny Azure heading towards Mold this morning. Only saw it from the side so no other details. Pete
  20. Yes, I would mainly agree with that, however mass produced cars of today will last a lot longer than cars made in the 60's, 70's, etc so they'll take a lot longer to reach classic status, at least 50 years I would guess. Classics produced recently will include MX5, NSX, most Lotus's, etc. Pete
  21. Got Caroline's roadster booked in, first available Friday was 30th October!! Going to be a 5 o'clock start to get to Swansea by 9! Pete
  22. Look, the Cayman S is a car I'd like to own but let's get the facts right. 2006 Basic Cayman S List price £44,250, quite a bit over £40k I'd say 2007 350Z HR List price £30,318 including full GT pack, metallic paint £450 extra. Depreciation on a basic Cayman S circa 28k and on an HR 21k. Adding loads of factory options doesn't really make much difference to the resale value of a 9-10 year old car, should make it easier to sell though. Anyway, I was only really picking up on the point someone made that a Cayman S was worth 3 times more than a DE engined Zed, probably true if you look at a 2003 DE but comparing like to like, 2007 Cayman S against 2007 HR then the poster is clearly wrong. Pete Yawn! I must have dreamt paying £36k for my UY GT4.......... The Cayman S is a better car than the 350Z.............surely that's not a surprise to anyone?? If you have £16k to spend..............you'd buy a Cayman S. If you have £9k to spend you'd buy a 350Z. I did the same when I bought my GT4 and didn't have an extra £10k for a Cayman S or similar It's a simple as that. The Zed is a great car!! I Loved both of my zeds and would buy another, BUT if the price was much higher I would never have bought one, and thats it's main plus point and always has been... The basic list price of a GT4 was £29,500 back in 2005, got that from a couple of sources. I don't know your car, but if you had a Nismo Kit, a SatNav and a set of Nismo wheels factory fitted then I guess 36k is possible. http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evolongtermtests/67390/nissan_350z_gt4.html If I had 16k to spend then I certainly wouldn't buy a 9 year old Porker with it, neither would I spend 9k on an HR for that matter, don't think I've ever bought a car more than 3 years old but that's just me. When I bought my Zed back in 2007 I had a very healthy budget of around £40k which would have stretched to a Cayman but not the S sadly, had the Cayman S been in my price range I'd have snapped it up. Still, with the money I saved I picked up a 2 year old HR for the wife lol. Pete
