2. Couldn't get a national health dentist for years around here, I had to go private.....but as it happens a Polish dentist has just setup in Mold and is accepting NHS patients, Caroline just signed up. Pete
3. Even more frightening is that by the end of the year Donald Trump could be president Pete
4. That's true, however, since 2013 they can request that a drivers license be suspended if they fail a roadside eye test. Can all be done with a smartphone from the roadside, they contact The DVLA who will confirm that the license is suspended. Also, if the offense is serious enough they can haul you up in front of a magistrate within hours... Pete
5. This is actually a repost. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/105747-2009-rev-up/ Pete

7. Traffic Officers, they're based at the top of our lane at the council depot, they usually attend to breakdowns where there is no hard shoulder (On The A55/A494), minor accidents things like that, their main job is to keep traffic flowing. They carry a variety of things to help them but don't have any police powers or ANPR but their vans have blue lights and look like police vans. I believe they are employed by VOSA but work in conjunction with the police Pete Highways Agency Traffic Officers use various combinations of amber and red lights, plus alternating headlights, for different circumstances. They asked for blue lights when the units were formed, but they were not allowed. Blue lights are only for emergency vehicles, e.g. Police, Fire, Ambulance, Bomb Disposal, Mountain Rescue. O.K, Your correct. I often see them and just assumed the lights on the top were blue. Not that long ago I witnessed an accident and they were first on the scene. They immediately stopped the traffic as one of the vehicles was up against the central barrier facing the wrong way. Because the accident was on a busy dual carriageway they had been in contact with the police and advised me and a couple of other witnesses to drive to a service area, luckily only a few hundred yards away where the police would meet us and take statements. Did a good job, got the car turned round and declared it was driveable. The other vehicle involved was an HGV which was undamaged. Pete

9. Not really, the country was in serious decline in the years leading up to our joining, inflation was over 20% the year we joined, the coal, steel and car industry was either outdated or beset by industrial action, the country under both Heath and Wilson was a complete mess. I'm not saying that joining the EU made things better but the idea that we were doing alright compared to countries already inside the EU is a fallacy. That's one of the reasons we joined. So far, I'm for staying. Pete
10. Yes. Some people are really hard on their clutches, one of the worst things is to hold it on the clutch when stationary on hills, or in traffic jams, can never understand why people do this. There's also those who haven't mastered changing gear smoothly so the car jolts on every gear change, my ex wife was one of those . Then there's the people who like to slip the clutch on frequent racing starts. As others have said clutch life can be anything from 40k to the life of the car, say 150k.. Pete
11. The open/close method should work and it'll help if you spray some WD 40 on as many of the joints that you can find. Nissan say the minimum operating temperature for the hood is 5 degrees C, from experience I'd say closer to 10 degrees is more like it. Pete

XL tyre rating
And some are saying TL for tubeless? I thought most tyres were tubeless now anyway?
Part of the regulations regarding marking on tyres. I don't think that tubes have been used on cars since the 1950's. I know that tubes are still widely used on road racing bikes and from what I remember my Lambretta had them as well. Pete

Will they rub?
Pretty sure (not 100% though) that you may need to reduce the profile if you wanted to run that set up so that you don't cause "traction control" issues. Eg: a 30 profile tyre instead.
Yes, 245/35 front and 275/30 rear is pretty close to the optimum rolling radius on 20" wheels, on 19" I'd go for 245/40 and 275/35 Pete
14. Those are Jade-R's that I bought from a member here back in March 2013. They were only on for a few months but it was always my intention to put them back on which I've now done. Just don't need 2 sets of wheels right now. Pete
15. Welcome along, looks like a nice clean Zed. Pete
16. Welcome along. We had a brand new TT way back in 2002, nothing but problems mostly electrical, The 350Z I bought new in 2007 has been trouble free. Pete
17. I just do a direct copy from where it says share this photo, 2nd Box down, then paste it into the message. Add img in square brackets at the start and /img in square brackets at the end. Hope this helps. Pete

380Rs

Here's a list of differences from a U.S.A forum, may be incomplete. Pete Dual cone intake with carbon fiber heat shield and metal (aluminum perhaps?) piping. - Individual throttle bodies (the plenum isn't really a plenum per say, just to maintain an an environment with clean air. you can run 6 individual air filters for each TB, but this setup actually helps reduce turbulence) - Long tube catless headers - 2.5" Y-pipe with single titanium 3" y-pipe-back - Upgraded oil system with better oil jets/squirters (Not dry sump though) - Nismo camshafts, springs and retainers - 3.8L forged crankshaft, forged rods and forged pistons (possibly higher compression) - A/C delete (obviously) - Auto belt tensioner delete - Upgraded radiator - Radiator thermostat delete - Stock crankshaft damper pulley (hint hint) - Race clutch

380Rs

I doubt that Nismo would use a crash damaged vehicle for its publicity photo and also quite a number of photos show the RS-C with the old style headlights, including the black/red one above. Can't imagine why Nismo would downgrade to Xenon's on a competition car.(unless they're a couple of kilos lighter) Pete
20. The very same wheels on Caroline's roadster. Pete
21. MadMarkey has some too although his are branded "Ascari". Pete

380Rs

Very odd, just checking out a few photos of the 380RS-C something very strange popped up. Both photos from Nismo site. Look closely and spot the difference? The above Zed is the 2007 model This is the 2008 model. Pete

380Rs

Only the RS-C has the 400 engine , the road going ones are 348 bhp. The RS-C cost a cool $250,000. As to the value of this car, I'd guess 16-20k. Pete
