  1. Yeah, that's what I'll do. The door is lying on the grass now, it unhinged itself in the wind yesterday so I propped it up against the garage but it blew over within minutes so I just left it there. Wind is picking up again, if it does completely come off then at least it'll blow away from the house (and the cars ). Pete
  2. Only Liverpool have a long waiting list, like 10 years . Only 3 other premier league clubs have waiting lists, Arsenal (quite long), Chelsea and Tottenham. Man Utd have recently made more season tickets available and Man City sell games in blocks. My daughter has been on the waiting list at Liverpool for 3 years, the stadiums just too small Pete
  3. Amazingly we didn't lose the power, went off for a while Thursday morning and Thursday evening but I'm thinking this was something technical. Can't really do anything to secure it for now as it's still pretty windy and is raining cats and dogs. Not looking good either as we're under an orange met office warning today and a yellow one for the next 2 days... http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/ ... html?day=1 Pete
  4. O.K, here's the damage. Pete
  5. Got home from the Chester Mini Meet last night to find that the front third of my garage roof had lifted off. Luckily its still attached but with 60/70 mph winds predicted later today it may be that the whole thing will come clean off . I'll post some photos later on today, if it's safe to go out there Pete
  6. Yeah, got mine this morning, looks even better than the sneak preview Thanks, Pete
  7. Midnight Blue is . Very nice car indeed. Pete

    Sat Nav Disk

Caroline's 2008 Sat Nav disk is a double sided DVD, ordinary DVD recorders won't copy it because it contains 9GB of data on it. Special equipment required unfortunately. No idea if it's copy protected but there are ways around that Pete
  9. Welcome to the forum ....ouch Pete
  10. Welcome, there's a fair few of us in the North Wales, Chester area. In fact, we're having a mini meet at The Holiday Inn near to the Chester Business Park on Friday evening at 7.00, you're very welcome to come along . I'll post a link in a couple of minutes. viewtopic.php?f=86&t=45163 Pete
  11. Cyclone reported to be stronger and bigger than Katrina . Worst storm in Australia's history and exceedingly dangerous, BBC news are reporting 175mph winds when it strikes in a few hours time!! Pete
  12. Now that looks really nice and ticks all my boxes. One owner, low mileage and FSH, like the interior too. Price is at the top end of the scale but not too high . Nissan SatNav and Reverse sensors too!! Pete
  13. By the age of 25 I was pretty well settled into a career, I had been to college and got some decent qualifications in Chemistry and progressed to a fairly senior job by the age of 30. Didn't like the responsibility though and wanted a job that I didn't have to bring home so when the opportunity arose I moved to another company, earning more money, but with less stress and a status drop of several grades. To be honest I wasn't cut out for management and only went to college because the company I worked for (British Steel) gave me the day off There's nothing you can do about the era you were born in but today I wouldn't have wasted time studying Chemistry that's for sure, I'd have gone into a career in Computing, Pete
  14. Yes, looked at it a few years ago. I was looking for retirement residency and I met all the requirements but in the end decided against it. My dad worked in Geelong for Shell for 12 months and loved it there. Said The Aussies are a bit noisy and he was surprised by how often it rained in fact Melbourne is actually wetter than London. Great place to visit but some Aussies will give Immigrant Brits a hard time. Pete
  15. OMG This'll knock Egypt off the news once they pick up on it. Pete
  16. I will have by Friday a Set of Rays from a 2008 car for sale, a couple of slight scuffs, front tyres half worn, rears have about 2k left on them. Pete
  17. And CAT 5 Hurricanes http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41363738 Pete
  18. I'm also having problems getting Falkens. I'm told that there is no stock of the size I want (and many others) in The U.K at all but that a shipment is on its way over (on a boat) and should be here in 2-4 weeks. Pete

  20. Yes, definitely a good deal. I paid that sort of price for The GTX 460 just before Christmas. Pete
  21. Welcome to the forum. 350Z prices are all over the place these days but you could get a facelift 06 model on that budget. Alternatively, you could pick up an 05/55 model for a little less, Don't take too much time looking for one with a Nissan SatNav, aftermarket ones are much better and as rtbuiscuit says, it runs around 28 mph per 1,000 revs and is surprisingly economical on Motorways. It's very important that you inspect the service record as well. If you see one you fancy then ask someone from here to look at it for you, most will be glad to check it out for you. Good luck! Pete
  22. Sorry, really sorry to inform you that it's actually £1.125 million Pete
