  1. They are pretty thirsty on very short runs and to a certain extent in cold weather, my wife gets about 18mpg on her 8 mile round trip to work and back in heavy traffic. Much better once the engine gets properly warmed up though. I've averaged 27mpg over the 4 years I've had the car, only about 3mpg worse than the Celica T-Sport I previously owned. Pete
  2. I registered with my350z.com a few weeks ago but despite a couple of E-Mails to the forum Admins they haven't approved my account I have found in the past that some forums won't accept membership from AOL users Pete
  3. Welcome to the forum . All cars 55 reg and older are in the lower tax bracket. The higher rate of tax was introduced on March 26th 2006 so there will be a number of 06 reg'd cars at the lower tax rate but these will be hard to find. Pete
  4. Never tried peanut butter, but it was one of only 2 things my Dad hated (the other being Caraway Seed). I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like it as I hate nuts in general. Pete
  5. we're heading down from scotland, some as far up as dundee!! Looking at the list I see Zed's coming up from The South Coast and The Home Counties too . Pete
  6. Confirmed my booking a few minutes ago and paid a £20 deposit (at last) Pete
  7. I'm retired so I don't need to use The Zed on a daily basis. Caroline uses her roadster every day for work though but spends most of her 4 mile journey stuck in traffic Pete
  8. Yeah, even windier here than Friday, I think we're going to have more damage in the next few hours Pete
  9. Really nice looking car you've got there Pete
  10. Could be career threatening sad to say. He already has Titanium rods in his right arm from an old accident and surgeons are fighting to save his hand which is causing most concern. Pete
  11. Robert Kubica seriously injured according to The BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsp ... 388940.stm Wrist broken in a couple of places, possible arm and leg injuries too, according to various sources. Unlikely to be ready for the start of the season. Pete
  12. They are not staggered and have different makes of tyre front and rear . They are also need a refurb, I think he hasn't cleaned them on purpose Pete
  13. Unfortunately, that colour is fairly rare (I've never seen one) but if you start a new thread I'm sure someone up that way will take a look at it for you Pete
  14. One of the lower spec imports I think, no mention of heated seats doesn't have Brembo brakes and being an import it'll be limited to 112 mph (not that it makes a difference on our roads ). Nice looking car but way overpriced and the mileage is pretty dodgy IMHO. Pete
  15. Hmm, interesting, no buttons on the steering wheel and those wheels are non standard, I'm not that well up on later versions of this car but I'm wondering exactly what spec this is O.K, I get it now, it's an import! Looks like a non standard speedo too as it's either kph or mph (can't tell which), I wouldn't trust the miles being correct to be honest. Speedo should look like this. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/largep ... model=350Z Pete
  16. Not only that he's lost his form and more importantly his extra pace. He was frankly poor at the World Cup, he really made no impact. Liverpool did the only sensible thing and sold him, his heart hadn't been in the club for a long time and rumour has it that a number of senior players weren't speaking to him. On top of that he's injury prone and a target for the hard men and The Plastics will be lucky to get 25 games a season out of him. I always found to be a frustrating player, he seems to have no sense of balance at times a bit like Drogba really Pete
  17. As long as he didn't come with Joey Barton then that's O.K. Pete
  18. Very true, they've been distinctly average by their standards...but grinding results out is what good teams do best Pete
  19. FYI, I think Demon Tweaks in Wrexham stock the Scorpion. Surely they can drive there and pick one up? Pete
  20. Yes, drove down to Southampton in the Clio to pick them up. Just about squeezed them in. They are 20 inch, not sure of the width but the tyres are 235/30 front and 275/30 rear No sorry, The guy I bought the wheels off threw in some 20ml Eibachs, in fact I think they would have fouled the brembos without them. Had to buy a torque wrench and a 19mm socket to get them fitted, the Zed studs looked stupid as they jutted out a long way. At least I know they're torqued on correctly Pete
  21. I've got something ordered, just waiting for the front tyres to come back into stock. I thought long and hard, looked at hundreds of wheels, changed my mind umpteen times before deciding on the right ones for me. All will be revealed soon... Pete
  22. Fitted these on Friday. They're going to need a refurb as the varnish has come off along the rims and there are a few scratches here and there but they really transform the car . The only downside is they are fitted with brand new Nankang's but they'll be changed once Falken tyres are available again. Pete
