  1. Lots of interesting places up in The North. Let's start off with The Castles, Conway Castle is one of the best examples of a fortress style castle anywhere in The U.K, built in the 13th Century it's in remarkable condition. There's also Caernarvon Castle just along the coast and Harlech Castle as another alternative. Snowdonia has long been one of my favourites, just driving around it is an experience in itself and there's plenty of interesting towns and villages in the area. Beddgellert is one such village, situated underneath Snowdon itself it's got a wide range of good restaurants and plenty of accommodation is available. Llanberis is also in that area, more of a town than a village and very popular with the rock climbing fraternity and with plenty of facilities. Betwys-y-coed is where we'll be having lunch on our Sunday run but you really need a few hours to do it justice. It's remained unspoiled by development but is packed with some great tourist and craft shops, a few miles from there you'll also find "The Ugly House" and The Swallow Falls. The Northern side of the Lleyn peninsular is one of the undiscovered gems in North West Wales. Fantastic beaches, beautiful scenery, old smugglers coves and quiet country roads will greet you here. To the South of The Lleyn you'll find Criccieth, Porthmadog and Abersoch, nice beaches but much busier. Also in that area is Angelsey, it has some nice beaches and a decent castle at Beaumaris but not a lot to see really. Overall its a great place to visit, there's plenty of places to stay and eat and to spend your money Reminds me of a sign I saw painted on a wall in a toilet block near to where ChrisS lives. It said "English Out" and below it someone had written "What, before we spend our money" Pete
  2. I thought maybe a central exit would look better, but having seen this one I'm not too sure...different though Pete
  3. I'll also express an interest. Pete
  4. Good write up Will, just needs a good clean now .and a set of wheels Pete
  5. Yeah, looks like something's missing, loses its symmetry. Pete
  6. I'm interested too (rectangular plate version) Pete
  7. I think mobile companies will leave the tyres on....could be wrong though. Pete
  8. Not looking good I have to say but we'll have to wait and see. They're already talking about moving the last testing session to Spain. Pete
  9. Not surprised really, to build a 350Z out of Nissan parts would cost £100k (at least), for example something like £500 for a SatNav DVD . No wonder 350Zed's are written off with what would have been considered cosmetic damage by most bodydshops 10 years ago. Pete
  10. Europa . Jeez, that black 370Z looks huge next to the cars around it!! Pete
  11. Big Train Fan Here's an extremely rare pic of one passing my cottage as it was in 1959 Pete
  12. Gel packs certainly help, for them to be effective they need to be dried out almost every day in the winter and every 3 days or so in the summer. It improves the situation considerably but sorry to say it never completely goes away. Pete
  13. Yikes, Don't go down the jamming route, this can lead to a perverting the course of justice charge, far more serious than speeding. The police are using more and more laser devices which can't be detected only jammed. Although I'm pretty strict with myself over speeding I have memorised all the possible locations of every mobile camera in my area, there's about 10 of them and my Nurrish SatNav detects all the fixed ones. Pete
  14. Do a search on this site http://www.nissanusedcars.co.uk/ 54 350's came up, a mix of coupe and roadster when I did the search . Presumably they're all Nissan approved at Nissan dealers but I didn't check that out. Pete

    z vs rs

For sure, the average age of ownership will drop but I don't see the Zed as being a sought after car by our Chav friends. They prefer cars that they can squeeze 4 of their mates in Pete
  16. Might have to revive an old thread of mine, lol viewtopic.php?f=34&t=21516 Yeah, good read and some of the photos beggar belief . The worst ones ones to park next to you are Chelsea Tractors, for a start they completely block your view making it very difficult for you to get out of your spot. Secondly, they tend to park closer to you as they take a lot more space than a normal car and Thirdly, being higher up it's not so easy to slide out, they have to open their doors a bit wider than normal. Larger company vans tend to have sliding doors so not as dangerous as you might think. The other hazzard (and luckily it's never happened to me) is that you might get hit by a driver reversing out of another bay....or in Caroline's case by a driver who misjudges the angle and tries to squeeze into an empty space. Luckily she was sitting in her car when it happened . Pete
  17. I don't have any neighbours so no problem there thank goodness. The thing is though if you take your Zed to a supermarket car park it really is a lottery as to whether your car gets damaged by thoughtless drivers and their passengers. You would think that parking in a remote area and having to walk an extra 50 yards would save you but Zed's and other nice cars seem to attract like magnets owners of old bangers who don't give a hoot about your car. How many times have you come back to your car with a car parked right up against it and not another car within 20 parking spaces . There's not a lot you can do especially if you're one of those who drives around the car park looking for the closest possible parking space to the entrance . Windy days are bad too, not only are doors difficult to manage but bone idle shoppers turn their trolleys into unguided missiles when they dump them in the middle of car parks, I actually saw one bounce off mine one day luckily without damage. Pete
  18. Well worth looking into , mileage is exceptionally low, make sure that's not a mistake!! No mention of service history, if that mileage is correct it's likely that some of the services will have been skipped, I don't see that as a big issue as long as it's had at least one P3 service and a couple of P1's. Also with low mileage Zed's there can be other issues with pitted and rusty brakes. One other thing, the tyres need to be replaced after 5 years regardless of mileage as the rubber starts to perish around then, the tyres should have a date of manufacture on the sidewall. If you can get details from the seller, I think you need the VIN number and the registration number you can check online the mileage at every MOT Pete
  19. Welcome to the forum . As already stated there are some very tall 350Z drivers here, one of whom is 6'7" so there shouldn't be a problem. The black Zed you are looking at seems fine but you do need to check the service history, based on mileage and age that one should have had six services. Very little goes wrong with them, there are several owners on this forum who have Zed's with 90k+ on the clock. Pete
  20. You will have to check with Nurrish. The older version, like the one I have will not fit into the MY06 and MY07 models. However, I know that one of his priorities was to be able to be able to incorporate his newest version into the newer models. I'm not sure what the differences are, but it does look to me like the cubby holes are slightly different Pete
  21. Caroline's MY07 Roadster will be available Pete
  22. Looks good to me, good price too . Next service will be the cheaper P1, MOT and 6 months Tax approx £280. Pete
  23. I've got a 55 reg'd model that I bought with delivery mileage in Feb 2007. Made a huge saving as the facelift version was out by then but I had no idea that the road tax was about to be changed...my 2007/2008 road tax cost £180 . These days, you won't make much of a saving by getting an old style 55 reg or a facelift 06 reg maybe a 1k or so these days. The newer models look better....that's why loads of us go around sticking bulge bonnets and rear led's on Pete
  24. One thing worth checking is the number of devices you have plugged in to your phone outlet connection. If you have more than 3 then you can expect a huge slowdown, I had to unplug one of my Sky Boxes as I was stuck at 0.5 megs, once removed it went to 2.5 megs. Pete
