  1. It's difficult to say. It's obviously loaded with tons of goodies that'd cost you at least £2.5k , it's not done a huge amount of miles, so after due consideration I'll stick my neck out and say £9,200-£9600 would be a fair price, it is a real beauty . You could get a cheaper bog standard for £1,500 less, just depends if you want that one really badly Pete
  2. Yes, when I first got my Clio I insured it on a Monday morning but was unable to tax it online till late on Wednesday, it kept showing no insurance. Different story with The MOT though, after The Zed passed I was able to Tax it within 20 minutes. Pete
  3. Welcome along Stunning car but I'm underwhelmed by all the grammatical mistakes in that advert, let's see what everyone else thinks. Pete
  4. Spotted it at the last moment about 10.30 today on the opposite carriageway, unable to give more details other than it was either a GM or a Blade heading into Wales. Pete
  5. Yeah, Caroline gets a lot of snide comments too but it doesn't bother her in the least. I don't know what the other lady Zed drivers find but Caroline says that men, especially middle aged men are absolutely desperate to overtake her in the most crazy of places . Pete
  6. Yes, it's 5 years. My 2006 reg'd Zed was on the original tyres until a couple of weeks ago and even though there was a fair bit of tread left if you looked closely enough you could see that there were some cracks developing inside the treads Pete
  7. Yeah, I use Chrome and had to delete all of my cookies from the options menu within Chrome. Worked O.K for me even if it did change the way Chrome works Pete
  8. Welcome to the forum . I think there's 2 or 3 here who've come from The VX220. Saw one the other day, getting to be a rare sight these days. Pete
  9. Welcome . 15k is a very healthy budget for a 350 these days! Good luck with the search Pete
  10. Price difference isn't that much these days compared with 12 months ago, lets face it the first facelift cars are getting on a bit now . If I was in the market for a Zed today I'd be more concerned with the condition and mileage. Pete
  11. Well not quite, the limited edition GT4 had the 300 engine, you'll find these on 04 or 54 plates. You may also find some of the pre 06 cars have had an engine remap at Abbey or RS, doesn't quite take the engine to 300 though, more like 285/290 I think. EDIT, probably worth pointing out that the facelift 2006 300 version gained quite a bit of weight, about 85kgs, most likely some undocumented beefing up underneath the skin, so overall performance not much different to older versions. Pete GT4's were 05/55 plates Of course they were Pete
  12. It's a comment we get quite often . There's a lot of snobbery on some forums I've been on, if you haven't got the latest all singing all dancing version then they don't want to know. The only other forum I asked a question on was the Audi TT forum and I didn't get a single answer . Moderators are very good here too, some of the personal attacks and trolling I've seen on other forums just wouldn't be allowed here . Pete
  13. Apart from that it was ok then! It was a good bird puller Pete
  14. Yes, it was the original Europa, in those days Lotus sourced cheapo parts from other cars and fitted them on. For example the inside door handles were from a Morris 1300, the rear bumper was from a Ford Anglia, the engine was from a Renault 14, suspension was Triumph based, a right mix of bits. Mine was a 2 year old factory built car, 23k on the clock when I bought it, other problems included having to tighten the manifold nuts once a week, weird things, you needed a key but there was no room to turn it , the electric windows used to stick, flattening the battery, the paint cracked, the list of jobs that needed doing was endless Pete

    I hope it's nobody's from here Pete

    Tyre Help

I must admit it does look pretty good but what does it drive like, wouldn't it make the steering a bit heavy? You would also need something like 305's on the back to keep the TC happy. That Yank car has been seriously lowered too and would be a complete non starter for everyday driving here in the U.K unless you never left the Motorway (or your garage) . Pete

    pic request..

The only mod here is a set of 20" wheels. Pete

275 definitely too big. I think someone here runs 255 but 245 is ideal Pete
  19. The second one listed there, the one with the chrome grill isn't a 313 as it doesn't have the bulge bonnet. The first one is a tad overpriced, no idea how good the warranty is, check the small print. Welcome along BTW Pete

  21. Welcome . Almost impossible to find, The official launch date was April 1st 2006, a couple of weeks past the deadline for the lower tax rate. Only a very small number were registered before then, for journalists to test out. Pete
