I bet there wernt so many barriers back then either! There were loads of people going round the track, walking and driving. There was one bloke driving his Spyker C8 round for ages,he seemed to always be going round when he could. Fair play.
The number of barriers has certainly increased over the years but by 1975 was probably not far short of where we are today, as late as 1972 they still used straw bales . Never got to drive my car around the entire circuit, just did the bit up to Casino square the day we arrived, the rest of the track was undergoing work, the barriers were being fitted so no access allowed. The track was open later on but I declined the option as I didn't want to lose my parking space, you can imagine these were like gold dust . Watched the race from up on the hill, just beneath the palace, even back then ticket prices for the stands on race day were eye watering. Did get to go around the paddock on the Friday evening, even got invited in Graham Hill's motorhome while he personally sorted out some Embassy Hill stickers for me
