  1. Yeah, rear looks good, Wheels O.K. I'm fairly neutral on the front and the interior kit doesn't look as bad as I thought it would. Pete
  2. And they charge accordingly for this e.g 370z + £20k................. Yup, a 370Z is probably the best value for money car in its category and probably one of the best looking too. Good point, I'd also add that in my experience, buyers of new prestige cars stretch their budget and not reduce it. If you have a 50k budget then you'll buy a 50k+ car rather than save 15k on something not quite as good, I know I would. Pete
  3. O.K, when you removed your petrol cap did you feel or hear your tank sucking air in? A decent tank should keep the petrol pretty fresh for several years, even decades in cold places like Northern Canada but a lot depends on the integrity of the seal, the slightest leak or perishing of the rubber and the petrol will degrade in a few months or even weeks if the leak is bad enough and the less there is in the tank the quicker the light ends will evaporate. A good example would be petrol lawn mowers which have poor seals, low fuel levels and always fail to start after a winter in the shed Pete
  4. Yeah, seen this before, odd looking car, looks great from the back but the front is too fussy and those wheels are horrid. Pete
  5. Love these. Roger Moore lived close to me while he was filming for "The Saint" and I often saw his personal Volvo P1800 in Mold, guess I'd have been 14 or so at the time Pete
  6. Here's a guide to what you can do and can't do. http://www.surreycc.gov.uk/sccwebsite/s ... endocument Seems that once a child reaches 13kg they can by law go into a forward facing child seat, airbag or no airbag. I'm not sure of the wisdom of this though as it also states that they should go into rear facing seats till the age of 4 (but not a legal requirement) Pete
  7. Part of the problem is the shocking grammar used on popular TV shows, "I don't know nothing" and the general use of double negatives can be heard on most of the soaps, especially EastEnders, it's little wonder that standards have slumped over recent years. Pete
  8. I actually ordered these back in January from this company but gave up after 2 months as they couldn't get hold of any tyres. They are not the greatest company to deal with, they rarely answer the phone and never get back to you when they promise to, best avoided unless they have the tyres in stock. Pete
  9. Very nice, dated a little but will be a classic in a few years time The only thing I'm not keen on is the two tone dashboard Pete
  10. Welcome . Nice looking Zed, looks to be completely original with no obvious mods. Wear on the drivers seat looks to be typical so nothing to worry about there. Pete
  11. It's not so much the width, it's more important that the rolling radius is maintained so that the traction control doesn't throw a wobbler. A quick trip to the calculator gives a difference of 2.6% in the rolling radius, probably not enough to make any difference to the speedo and TC but it may alter the handling a bit. Pete
  12. They travel around in a battle group, 10 or so ships which includes supply vessels and have a crew of 5,600 so they would need fairly constant replenishing. The Americans have 11 battle groups, 10 for the Nimitz class carriers and one for the older KittyHawk class. Dread to think of the cost of keeping that lot afloat Pete
  13. Impressive, they've got another 9 like that Pete
  14. +2, I caught a quick glimpse of one of the Red Bulls front tyre and spotted a large blister on it, just about to fall of the cliff I think! Pete
  15. I bet there wernt so many barriers back then either! There were loads of people going round the track, walking and driving. There was one bloke driving his Spyker C8 round for ages,he seemed to always be going round when he could. Fair play. The number of barriers has certainly increased over the years but by 1975 was probably not far short of where we are today, as late as 1972 they still used straw bales . Never got to drive my car around the entire circuit, just did the bit up to Casino square the day we arrived, the rest of the track was undergoing work, the barriers were being fitted so no access allowed. The track was open later on but I declined the option as I didn't want to lose my parking space, you can imagine these were like gold dust . Watched the race from up on the hill, just beneath the palace, even back then ticket prices for the stands on race day were eye watering. Did get to go around the paddock on the Friday evening, even got invited in Graham Hill's motorhome while he personally sorted out some Embassy Hill stickers for me Pete
  16. Great photos . Went to Monaco for the GP way back in 1975, wish I could find the photos that I took. Walked right the way around the circuit during the practise lunchbreak, I bet you can't do that now Pete
  17. Matt is refusing to reveal the colour of his new Zed, the only thing he'll say is it's a non standard colour (if that makes sense). I'm going for green Pete
  18. Looking good Also, looks like you have a fairly tasty plate on there by the size of the white squares front and back Pete
  19. Wow, United demolished, Barca were awesome Pete
