  1. I believe you can get 3mm spacers from Halfords, I'm pretty certain that Colin has these on his 370Z, so you fit the 3mm spacers on first then add the 20mm hubcentrics. As far as the tyres go, I've kept the rolling radius within 1% so there would be no difference between the arch clearance on the 20" wheels that I have on with 35 profile tyres and 18" Rays with 45 profile. No... "Oh no, we couldn't find anything" it says Pete
  3. The regulations are something of a grey area here. As I read them, the tread of the tyre must not protrude from the widest part of the arch which on The Zed is at the top, so it's O.K to have the tyre wall sticking out. I'll take a photo of The Roadster which recently passed its MOT which illustrates how far you can go. These are obviously not standard Rays, but I've calculated the amount of protrusion is equivalent to having 27/28mm spacers on Rays. Oh yeah, standard suspension on this Zed. Here's what 25mms look like on the front once again not standard rays but will give you some idea of how much they fill the arches, bad news is that they rub on occasions. Pete
  4. Great weekend, we both thoroughly enjoyed it and we'll definitely be back next year Yeah, this was the only disappointing part of the weekend, those who put their name down and didn't bother turning up should be ashamed of themselves Pete
  5. Hmm, GM is the same as Silverstone in some parts of the world, same paint code anyway Pete
  6. Lovely morning up here in North Wales Setting off about 11:40 so we should be there around 3 if all goes well Pete
  7. Looking . Managed to get most of the dirt off mine which revealed a few new blemishes but not too bad. Caroline's roadster has suffered some sort of impact on the front bumper, certainly worse than a stone chip and it's surrounded by several longish scratches, a bird strike maybe?? Anyway cars are fuelled, clean and ready to go Pete
  8. Welcome to the forum. Plenty of info on tyres here. viewforum.php?f=60 Pete
  9. Yeah, there's some horror stories about the early rev-ups on The U.S forums...new engines after 5k,etc My 55reg doesn't use any but is pretty low mileage. Pete
  10. Forecast 22 degrees for Sunday now, shorts weather Pete
  11. If you fit 25mms on the front then it'll rub now and again, I would think 22 or 23 is the maximum with a standard suspension. Caroline has 20mm spacers on the rear of her Roadster but the offset of the wheels she has on means the equivalent of 28mm and they do stick out a bit (but no rubbing). Pete
  12. Definitely not in the wet, watch her feet it's either full throttle or foot off ...nice hands though Pete
  13. Yeah, I remember that race very well, a truly amazing race. What a lot of people don't know is that Senna himself was being reeled in by Steffan Bellof in an outdated Tyrell at a great rate of knots. Although Senna realised his potential in the years to come, Bellof was sadly killed in a sportscar race at Spa. For those of you who have been to the Nurburgring then you may know that Bellof still holds the lap record set in 1983, a record unlikely to be broken. Pete
  14. Same here, was parked by one this morning and they really are beautiful cars Pete
  15. Pleasantly surprised, thought they'd look awful but in fact I think they're quite good. Pete
  16. Yeah, Nismo kit is very nice, suits the car well . There's no mention of any service history, with 80+K on the clock I'd be very wary if the dealer tells you that the service book has been lost. Not seen that car at all but it was originally registered in Oxford FWIW. Pete
  17. Depends on the year of the Zed, the earlier ones MY03 2003 to early 2006 are actually 1465 kgs approx (but they do have 20 or so less bhp). No idea where the extra 80kgs came from as the only visible signs of the facelift (bumper, lights, better interior) couldn't have added more than 10kgs, must be hidden away somewhere. But yeah, they are really heavy compared with their rivals Pete
  18. Never heard of him . If it's a stunt then its pretty sick Pete
  19. I really like these, stick a 250 engine in and redesign the front end and they'd be pretty desirable. Rear wheels look a bit lost but a set of spacers would soon sort that Pete
  20. Think they were added to GT's in 2006 or 2007, Caroline's 2008 GT Roadster has them Pete
  21. The wheels are the worst I've ever seen on a Zed and the rear spoiler is pretty awful...but, I actually quite like the paint job Pete
  22. Lovely Car . Back in the day Kevin Keegan had one of those, he lived not far from here when he played for Liverpool. When I picked up my Datsun Cherry from the dealers his zed was for sale in the showroom, 12 months old but about £500 more than the brand new one they also had...Nice to be famous Pete
