  1. Looks to be a genuine story. It was reported as long ago as last October. http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/back-f ... 3mN4_DWZpg Only ever seen one and that was in The States years ago. Pete
  2. I'll have a look at Caroline's 313 tonight when she gets in, its only done 12k so hopefully there won't be a problem. I'll report back later. This can happen if one of the pulleys is slightly out of alignment. I had a Mini years ago that snapped its fanbelt 3 or 4 times before it had done 10k and once I persuaded British Leyland to investigate it under the warranty they reported that one of the pulleys needed adjusting which they did for me. Pete
  3. Good guide, mine is clicking with only 12k on the clock and has been doing it since about 7k so I guessed it wasn't the U/J's. I'll have a go at this in the next couple of weeks. Pete
  4. About 1,800 Roadsters in the U.K, 150 at the most are members here. In the 18 months I've been on this board I have seen just 2 members cars, outside of meets of course, and maybe 50 or so other Zeds so the chances of spotting a another forum car are slim. Doesn't stop me from waving or flashing though. Don't know when this tradition started, but I can remember AA patrol motorbikes waving at you if you had an AA badge on the front when I was a kid in the 60's Pete
  5. Holy revival time http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-17428818 One of my favourite cars of all time Pete
  6. As the 350Z was ending its production life a number of unsold Irish cars were imported into the U.K and sold off for around 22k. They are usually on 08/58 plates with a few on 09 or later. The only obvious difference is that the Irish cars came with The GT4 wheels as standard instead of the normal rays. Looking at the pics I don't see any other differences. Just bear in mind they might have been sitting in a compound for 12 months before they came into The U.K and that they were considerably cheaper than The U.K cars, other than that I don't see any problems. Pete
  7. Both those cars look to be Irish imports judging by the wheels, which came with them as standard. In The U.K they were only found on the limited edition GT4. Hard to know what they are worth really but I'll take a guess at 11.5-12.5k Pete
  8. Happy birthday Colin It seems that I never quite catch you up Pete
  9. Yeah same here. I watched the guy fit my HR bonnet and it took him a while to get it lined up correctly. If the bonnet has been off for any reason it may just need adjusting. Pete
  10. Hmm,that's very shiny . Like your retractable stubby, where did you get that? Pete
  11. Part of the Bridgestone Empire by the looks of it. One suggestion is that their tyres are based on defunct Bridgestone patterns so they'll just be a budget tyre. Pete
  12. More than likely. Probably been filled to the brim without any washer anti-freeze in it. Pete
  13. I'm a member of a local action group fighting a proposed gypsy camp in the local area. We are looking at ways to fund the fight but I was told by the chairman that it wouldn't look good if I went fund raising in my Porsche Pete
  14. Retired Industrial Chemist, worked in the oil business. Caroline, my other half and a roadster owner works for Careers Wales as an employment advisor (she's kinda busy ) Pete
  15. Roadster looks great in Blue, congrats and enjoy Pete
  16. I find driving in big cities that I don't know and on the wrong side of the road very stressful. If you're like me you might want to check out a few of New Jersey's State Parks. I've not been to any of these myself but some of them look quite interesting. http://www.funnewjersey.com/upload_user ... XPLORE.htm Pete
  17. I think that's the shiniest Zed I've ever seen . Great Job Ian! Pete
  18. Very nice . Is that a facelift model or has someone fitted bi-xenons at some stage? Pete
  19. The prefacelift ones had a CD and a remote control. They were listed as an option in the brochure I had from early 2006 but I can't remember the exact price. I believe that a much higher proportion of facelifts had factory SatNavs fitted though. Pete
