  1. Nar , im sure if you google you`ll see a picture of it. The actual whole middle part of the seat on the roadsters is made of like a fishnet sort of material - non leather. You cant really see it in the pic of mine below, but the black area is the fishnet stuff.. This must be a feature of the orange seats. I just took a look at Caroline's black seats and they are all leather, in fact they look identical to the seats in my coupe. Pete
  2. Yes, very nice colour and even non Nismo midnights are very rare. Pete
  3. As you've said, the Nismo never went on sale in this country although it was Nissans original intention to sell them here, maybe it was the high price tag, 50k plus. Nissan brought one car into the country and this was road tested by a number of magazines. What happened to it after that...I've no idea I'm not sure if any were imported into the country directly from the JDM market, I've never seen or heard of one in The U.K. Of course, they were very limited even in Japan, only a couple of hundred were made. http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarr ... _350z.html Pete
  4. This'll be my 3rd one, the others being 1971 and 1974 Pete
  5. Thanks everyone . I got some really great pressies that will take my car cleaning techniques into the 21st century to replace my 1970's bucket, sponge . Got a really horrible week as well, root canal filling tomorrow and 2 lots of workman in on Thursday and Friday, revamped kitchen and some internal damp proofing. Saturday won't be too bad though as my daughter got me the best present of the lot....A Cup Final ticket Pete
  6. He's already served one prison sentence for exactly the same offence, how many chances does he need? Anyway, the balance has swung slightly in favour of Man City now but they've still got a tough away game to come. Pete
  7. We've had several members looking for an update to the CD version and despite several searches I've been unable to locate one. TBH, your best bet is to see if a Nissan dealer has one lying around, they will occasionally give them away. Also, I'm not sure if the disks are still being updated as The Zed switched to a DVD based system in 2006. Pete
  8. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2004-NISSAN-3 ... 336e839475 Just noticed ended 22nd Nov Pete
  9. The only clutch I've ever had replaced was on warranty in the 70's (less than 2k). When I sold my Escort RS Turbo it had covered 115,000 miles without changing it, I am especially light on my clutch . Pete
  10. Coldest and wettest April day I can remember in a long while. Just 3 degrees when I boated my way down to ASDA at 12 o'clock Pete
  11. We once owned an imported MR2 Turbo and had to do some serious phoning around to get a reasonable quote. Caroline thinks she may have gone with Admiral in the end. Pete
  12. That's a good point, if you are buying privately ask the owner to drive the first few miles, watch to see if he warms it up properly or just guns it from cold...are his gear changes smooth, is he savage on the clutch or the brakes. I walked from a potential purchase of a Capri 2.8i many years ago, the owner drove like it a complete idiot. Pete
  13. That may be the one I flashed at several times and got a half hearted wave from last week. Sometimes you just need to persevere Pete
  14. As Ricey has pointed out there are a lot of problems to be sorted out. Obviously the best time to change the name would be as soon as possible after you moved in and it is a lengthy process that involves the local highways department and the land registry plus many others. Here's a guide I found....good luck http://www.telegraph.co.uk/property/pro ... house.html Pete
  15. Yes, plus some aftermarket bumpers also come with square plate holders too. Pete
  16. Had a good look at the seals and in one place it needed a really good push to reseat it. Survived a drive from Winsford in monsoon conditions yesterday without a drop leaking in. Pete
  17. It can be done, the previous owners changed the name of my house, my parents also made a minor change to their house name. I'm also on an awkward situation when it comes to couriers delivering stuff as my postcode takes you to a different area Pete
  18. Other than accidents I've yet to hear of a Zed going to the breakers. For most Zed's and cars in general their length of life isn't really a matter of mileage but when it becomes uneconomic to get them through an MOT. Pete
  19. Welcome to the forum. If that's Leyland, Lancashire then its considered by insurance companies to be a high risk area. From memory, I recall that one of the insurance companies that offer discounts on this forum wouldn't insure one members Zed with a PR postcode Pete
  20. Caroline had a double fracture of the ankle when she slipped off the edge of a step at 10.00 pm on Christmas Eve 2005 . Her foot was at right angles to her leg . Phoned for an ambulance which rushed her to Chester Countess and after a quick X-Ray a couple of doctors straightened her leg, plastered her up, provided a pair of crutches and sent her home, but not before making an appointment for the 27th. Sadly, the ankle required further surgery and metal plating which they did on the 28th and The NHS helped her through her recovery including several sessions of physio at our local hospital. Everything went fine, the only downside were the absurd parking charges. Since then, the situation has changed a bit. Because The Welsh Gov't runs the devolved NHS, they don't like you going to Chester Countess, even if it is the closest hospital, sending you instead to Wrexham, a well known MSRA hotspot and a dump of a hospital. Pete
  21. Great spot! I've found some weird things on google maps too. I was surveying a route through some back roads in Utah when it suddenly went from a bright sunny day to deep snow on the road, an overcast sky then back again to sunshine a few hundred yards later. Pete
  22. Yep, and +1 on yours too Pete +1 on yours Pete, or is that +1 on Sarnie, or Biscuit Pete
