  1. Yeah, this really sucks. If the insurance company decide that it's a Cat B then it'll be "struck off" by the DVLA and the log book will have to be returned. As I understand it, you would not be able to purchase a Cat B (even for spares) from the insurance company as you need some sort of special license to dispose of them. Pete
  2. In your case I would guess cat D, however flood damage is assessed according to the extent of the flooding . For example a car that is completely submerged would be Cat A, partially submerged Cat B. I know that a lot of cars were illegally returned to the road after hurricane Katrina in The U.S and had major problems after a few months. You'll have to wait and see what your insurance company says Pete
  3. Very funny guy from an era when you didn't have to use smut and bad language to get a laugh. Pete
  4. It's difficult to know the exact specs as Facelift JDM's are very rare, imports from Japan pretty well dried up in 2007 as U.K Zed's became more available and The Yen shot up in value (keep in mind that Jap cars were usually a few years old before they arrived in The U.K). The mods such as Fog Lights and Speedo conversion would have been required for an MOT. I also spotted on that car what look like parking sensors that look different to the ones Nissan fitted, much nicer and neater actually Pete
  5. Oh dear!. Just read the latest weather updates on Silverstone. The camping grounds and car parks are already completely saturated and exceptionally heavy rain is expected on Friday, as much as 2 months worth , Saturday and Sunday look to be pretty wet too. Silverstone themselves have already declared that the emergency "red weather" plan will be in effect for the weekend. I've yet to read exactly what this entails, but its likely to have a severe effect on parking and camping. http://www.silverstone.co.uk/woodlands-wet-weather-f1/ Pete
  6. O.K, did a bit of research. Although the facelift model wasn't available in The U.K until April 2006 I have found some press photos of the facelift model dated August 2005. Well, physically possible, but the headlights alone are £700 each, rear Led's £300 . Goodness knows how much a complete facelift interior would cost...Then there's the Front bumper which is lacking headlight washers, so you can see where I'm going. I'll stick my neck out and say you've got a facelift JDM, one of the the very first ones in fact. As for the anniversary wheels, they were on the publicity photos from August 2005. The only thing that can't be explained right now is the missing rear rear spoiler EDIT, BTW, does it have cup holders in the door cards? Pete
  7. Nice one, was 99% sure but that secures it thanks Having reviewed your photos I've revised my opinion, see above post....I don't really know what it is I think we should wait for other opinions TBH. Pete
  8. Welcome to the forum. Yep, the JDM 35th anniversary doesn't have the rear spoiler However, after examining your pics, I see that it has a facelift bumper plus facelift headlights and rear Leds, facelift interior too, how odd You may actually have something quite unusual here Pete
  9. Certainly a great team but how do they match up to the Brazil side of 1970. Well, Brazil played brilliantly right throughout the 1970 tournament, they didn't just beat teams they destroyed them. In the 6 games they played they scored 19 goals, including 4 goals in the quarters, 3 in the semis and 4 in the final. Pete
  10. Yes, I've seen that report, really gutted for her. Pete

    Toyota FT 86

Nice looking car...but 28k for 190 bhp Pete
  12. I'm actually amazed that no one was seriously injured in this! Pete
  13. Don't listen to them.... viewtopic.php?f=38&t=43357 Pete
  14. A55, Post House To Broughton, dead straight and almost flat for 4 miles Pete
  15. I don't know if parts can be transplanted separately, but the entire facelift tunnel area can be fitted. I remember a couple coming up for sale a while ago. Pete
  16. Nice colour , SUV's don't do anything for me though Pete
  17. Check in between the treads, the original tyres on my Zed had developed cracks there after 5 years and 10k miles. Pete
  18. Where the hell is that sand coming from? Yeah, it's from the Sahara. It's a rare phenomena that happens about once every 10 years or so. It can be a very local thing too, Caroline's car was absolutely covered in it ansd she was parked about 4 miles away where she works. Mine, parked at home only had a light covering. We luckily missed the main thrust of the storm which passed about 40 miles away . Pete
  19. Seeing as it's already taken a huge price hit because its a Cat D then it'll probably cost you more to buy a facelift bumper have it fitted and sprayed than you're going to lose by leaving it as it is. Pete
  20. Way overpriced too, you can get a U.K 313 For 10-11k these days. However it does have the frost interior Very unusual to find a 2007 JDM import, its only the second one I've ever heard of. Pete
  21. As above, the bumpers will fit. I would however check that the parts required to operate the washers are still in situ or are at least available to fit onto a new bumper, I'm thinking here that some of the mechanism, mainly the washers themselves will have been removed to fit the bumper that's on your car now Pete
