  2. Actually, we've decided to stay over on the Saturday night . We can have a couple of jars now . Just about to book! Pete
  3. I'll be there of course, just not sure of our arrangements yet . Pete
  4. Nah, my plate is EEF and in any case I don't own a mobile phone Pete
  5. Blade in Queenserry on private plate A17 *** Pete
  6. Yes, there are stories of them overtaking F2 and F3000 cars on the straight at Silverstone on testing days in the 80's. Pete
  7. It's pretty hard to find a genuine Nismo kit or for that matter a Veilside. You can of course get hold of replicas at a fraction of the price, some good fits, some not so good. Have a look what the traders here are offering as most won't sell you something that's not going to fit.. Oh, and Welcome to the forum . Pete
  8. They are all pretty much like this, you just learn to live with it. Not one of Nissan's finest designs I'm afraid. The newer models 2007 onwards have a slightly better 1st to 2nd gear change but its obvious that Nissan only made a token effort to get it sorted, they would have been working on the 370Z by then. Pete
  9. Best to hold the race again I think . Pete
  10. You can get 10mm & 15mm hubcentrics from Project Kics. I was quoted £100 per spacer for them though I can imagine you can get the spacers but wouldn't the thread on the hubs push through past the spacer and hit the wheel. Meaning you can't get the wheel onto the spacer correctly?!? Easy to picture but hard to type I know some wheels have holes in on the rear but not sure if all do. I'm really struggling to understand this. I can't really see why you should need to fit longer bolts, if anything I'd have thought shorter bolts, , surely 10mm or 15mm hubcentric spacers would come with nuts that would fit flush to the spacers anyway? The wheel itself is bolted to the nuts on the spacers, if the back of the wheel doesn't have the holes for the nuts to fit in then it doesn't really matter what size the spacers are. In this case you'd have to fit another standard spacer on top of the hubcentric one, as I did with my wheels which don't have the holes on the back of the wheels. Pete
  11. You can't fit 10mm non hubcentric spacers without longer bolts as there you can't get the minimum number of turns to tighten your wheels up properly. 5mms are the biggest you can fit.. Pete
  12. For some reason I can't get any audio on that video....but having visited a few F1 dedicated sights I was able to see something else that requires specialised knowledge of the regulations (that I don't have). If you look at the video at 11:43 you can clearly see the yellow light, no argument there, but if you freeze the picture at 11:53 you can just spot a marshalls post on the left and he looks to be waving a flag, actually a green one. However, if you look at Vettels dashboard it is still showing yellow. This is dividing opinion on which of these two conflicting messages that Vettel was getting has precedence, I've no idea TBH. Apparently the 30th November deadline covers the whole season . Pete EDIT, Fixed the audio, we had a power cut this morning that reset my amp. 2nd EDIT, After reading through the BBC report again it would seem that flags take priority over dashboard lights. Vettel should be O.K.
  13. Will listen to it very shortly especially after seeing this!!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/20531638 Pete
  14. Watched the video (daren't listen to the commentary while Coronation Street is on ) and I think the official version, supported by Ferrari is that these were slippery condition lights, yellow/red I believe. It does looks a bit dodgy to me but to be fair, where are the yellow flags and more importantly where are the incidents that would bring all those yellow lights on? I don't see any . Pete
  15. Caroline's roadster....now has a stubby . Pete
  16. dont think those were HR's though That only applies to the Irish imported roadsters. The coupe's were 313's, although many of them had GT4 wheels. Although I've never seen one myself other members on here have spotted a few on 10 reg plates. Pete
  17. Dodged a bullet last night, as you've probably seen on the news St. Asaph took a real battering (that's where my Zed was bought) as did Ruthin both about 20 miles from here. It has at last stopped raining but it's going to take a while for the floods to subside. What's next?, well I'm hearing there may be snow over the weekend . Pete
  18. Yeah, I got my stuff from there too in 2006. Previous setup lasted me a long time as I got my speakers in 1978 and my amp and turntable in 1980. I was pretty impressed with Richer Sounds actually, the only problem we had was matching a turntable as my entire music library is on vinyl. It would seem that they're not in great demand these days . Pete
  19. Most of those 09 Zed's are actually Irish imports. Lookers in Chester had a load of them late in 2008 for £22.5k. Pete
  20. Although it's been belting down all day we have virtually no flooding at all here. The only problem I'm having is that my septic tank can't cope with this much rain and is overflowing into a drainage ditch. The local stream is really roaring along but its fast flowing and well below the level of our house. I would imagine that the fields alongside the A55 in the Chester area will be well awash and will probably not dry out for months. Pete
  21. We should hear something on the 9th December. Definitely more hopeful than before as the voluntary redundancy scheme was over subscribed and Caroline is the only one in her office with a formal qualification and she also has a good attendance record. If I do need to sell one of the cars it'll go on here first of course . Pete
  22. Great drive by JB. Sky showed a replay of Vettel overtaking under yellow flags, not sure if a protest will go in. Pete
