  1. Don't even attempt to remove it when its dark or even in twilight unless you have a decent torch you'll never get it back in. Later models, 2007 onwards have a normal dipstick. Pete
  2. There are known to be a few Japanese imported Anniversary Edition 350Z's in the U.K which have the Revup engine but these are rare. As far as the U.K facelift Revups go they were introduced just after the magic lower tax rate date, only a couple of cars brought in directly by Nissan for the press to evaluate were registered before March 17th 2006. Plenty of guys here your height and even taller driving Zeds. Welcome BTW. Pete
  3. Depends on the year of your Zed. my 55 reg Zed doesn't have them but Caroline's 08 Roadster does. There were a number of interior enhancements on the facelift model, seat belt warning alarm, illuminated ignition key plus a few more. Pete
  4. Wouldn't be surprised if he turned up in Indycar, Kobayashi too. Pete
  5. Holiday? That's no excuse . Sorry to hear that you won't be attending but there's always 2014 . Just about to book a flight to Colorado so sadly I'll be missing LakeZ this year. Pete
  6. I wouldn't be too concerned especially as its a one owner Zed. Pete
  7. Beta blockers. Plus several betting scandals. Difficult (impossible actually) to think of a sport where cheating in one form or another hasn't taken place at some stage. I can't think of an F1 driver who's been sanctioned for using PED's but they cheat in more devious ways. Pete
  8. On the plus side it won't have been over 40 mph in the last 5 years if its been in Guernsey . Pete
  9. I presumed you were referring to MegaUpload . Now known as Mega http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Megaupload Pete
  10. Ageed, mine does this too, especially if its been standing for a few days. Pete
  11. There's also a Sunset in the Ewloe area, I've seen it parked up a couple of times as I've flashed by on the A55, might be an import though. I also spotted a Grey 350Z roadster in Ewloe today, 3 ish and it wasn't Caroline either, might be the one Ricey spotted a few months ago. Pete
  12. Falken recommend 33 psi for the Zed and some manufacturers have the pressures embossed onto the tyres, amongst other things. Pete
  13. The speeding awareness course in North Wales which is one of the worst places to get caught speeding are generally offered up to speeds of 40 in a 30 zone. It depends on several factors though, for example, previous convictions or if you've been on a course in the last 3 (or is it 4?) years. Only Scotland does not offer a course these days. BTW, When I got done for speeding some 22 years ago, I was caught by a police motorbike who was hiding under a bridge with a hand held meter. He caught me up and showed me the reading, it was 80.8 (in a 60 zone). When the summons came through from Shropshire it had been rounded down to 80 mph. Pete
  14. O.K, the JDM has its one and only clock in The Bose unit (a much better place if you ask me). So I would imagine that the wires to the triple pod won't be there. Pete
  15. Another clue are the headlight washers, not usually seen on JDM's. Pete
  16. Some more about this car. It was first registered on 20/11/2003 but it didn't go on to the DVLA's database until 24/05/2005. I'm pretty sure this is a UK spec car so there are several possibilities. It could have come from Ireland, The Isle of Man, Guernsey, Jersey or it could have been that the car was bought here then taken abroad and later returned. It's all a bit of a mystery as another database which I've found to be very accurate states that car was first registered in Manchester in 2003 yet the plates would indicate Essex was the place of registration. Pete
  17. True, always worth bearing in mind that there'll be a couple of PSI units difference between checking your tyres when the ambient temperature is 0 degrees than when its 25 degrees. Pete
  18. It also looks like the markings on the steering wheel are in English as is the Owners Roadside assistance and service manual. Looks like a U.K GT to me, if it's an import then it could be from The Republic of Ireland . Pete
  19. Does anyone have the figures for the last year of the 350Z, that would be 2008 or maybe a few were sold in 2009? Pete
