  1. Yes, he sold two of them a couple of years ago. Price from memory was £400 fitted. Pete
  2. The problem with reading the stick is that most people's oil is too clean Pete
  3. In the States it's illegal to pass a school bus when its loading or unloading children. Pete
  4. I saw one young lad walk straight into a post in a supermarket car park as he was concentrating 100% on his mobile phone, OUCH. Pete
  5. Yes, fairly predictable but The BBC Wales news which lasts for 30 minutes was 20 minutes of gloating with numerous mentions in other parts of the program, like even the weather forecast. I'm pretty sure that if the entire population of (non rugby playing) North Wales had been wiped out in a Nuclear accident or invaded by aliens it wouldn't have got more than a passing mention today . Pete
  6. I'd go for it. I attempted to trade in my 55 reg when it had just 5k on the clock for a 2008 HR. They wanted 8.5k .. Was a few years ago though. Pete
  7. Don't really know, I bought my Zed new and only had the 2 keys, Caroline's Zed was second hand and had 3 keys. Could be that my 3rd key is hidden somewhere in the car or that the dealer forgot to give it me....or earlier ones don't have a valet key, I'm sure someone will know. Pete
  8. Got 20mm spacers all round at the moment so shouldn't be a problem . Pete
  9. Don't know about the lights but it looks like a U.K car to me, all the controls are in English and I spotted 43 mls to DTE. Car hasn't been taxed for a long time though, last tax ran out in 2010 and it doesn't look to have been Sorned either. Definitely needs further investigation. Pete
  10. Two of the pictures show that there's a tag on the keyring, the sort that dealers use to identify their stock. Pete
  11. Hmm, they're extremely nice (and Caroline likes them too)......Thanks Pete
  12. Yes, well beaten, not a good day to be an Englishman living in Wales Pete
  13. It will certainly have had new rears along the way. Mine were toast at 10k and I'm really easy on my tyres. From the wear on my fronts they would have gone 20k ish but there were cracks appearing inside the tread when the car was 5 years old. Pete
  14. It's not uncommon for one owner sports car to have crazily low mileage. Low mileage one owner cars tend to be owned by more mature owners who more often than not will have access to at least one other car. I'd be much more suspicious if a 9 year old car with 17k on the clock had 3 or 4 owners. Pete.
  15. Michael Bolton's early L.P's are what I would describe as Stadium Rock, not the sort of crooning that most people associate him with. He was also the lead singer of a little known rock group called BlackJack who made a couple of pretty decent albums in 1979/80. One of the brightest talents of the 80's who sadly sold out. Pete
  16. For those with Sky F1 it's live from 11.45 p.m tonight. Pete
  17. Seriously thinking about it, will get back to you in a couple of days . Pete
  18. Thanks for the bump . Yes, I'll have a word with Caroline in the morning. I like these wheels myself though . Pete
  19. Indeed, that's one of the best bonnet's I've seen. Just needs some rear LED's now . Pete
  20. Interesting info . Lotus Europa S2 didn't have a number plate as such, the letters were just stuck onto the grille. This was mine taken over 40 years ago. I only have one other photo of this car taken from the rear. I have a feeling that it had a reflective plate on the rear and if so would be pretty unique I think. Pete
  21. Never heard of one falling off before, although in really cold weather they will push out. Any attempt to prise one off would surely leave some marks on the bodywork. Pete
  22. There are other things that smell like fish Pete
  23. Needs spacers I don't think they make spacers big enough to fill that gap . Pete
