  1. My mother (or anyone else for that matter) never told her younger brother that he'd been adopted as a baby. He didn't find out until he was 44 when he needed a birth certificate to get married. I only found out on the day he was married, I was 24 at the time. Pete
  2. FYI , Last time I drove past The Moreton I noticed that the Shell garage just down the road had reopened . Pete
  3. Hmm, wonder if he was in negative equity so to speak. In any case, the finance must be paid off before he can sell the car, there's nothing else you can do. Pete
  4. I would imagine that Nissan, etc would request a list of registered owners from The DVLA, which would include imports. Nissan U.K would only have a database of all the original owners and possibly those who've had their cars serviced at a main Nissan dealership. Pete
  5. Interestingly I also have a C1 (up to 7.5 tons) D1 (Up to 17 seater Bus) which have to be renewed every 5 years after the age of 45 although I'm guessing I'm exempt from that as I've never been notified by The DVLA? I also have a provisional to drive a tank apparently Pete
  6. Not sure what sort of licences were issued after I got mine. They changed the rules in the early 70's, before that you had to renew every 3 years (before that, you got a little book, still got mine ). When mine expired in 1975, I was issued with a licence till 2019, might sound good but 3 year licences cost £1, they upped them to £5 for a 70th birthday licence. A minority still use the traditional all-paper licences, which are no longer issued. These are generally valid until the holder’s 70th birthday, as long as personal details are still correct. Pete
  7. I think the key word here is "new". Don't think it applies to old geezers like me who've had the same licence since 1975 Pete
  8. I've checked and there's no need to update mine but it depends on the circumstances. If you change your address, your name (mainly women), want to have points removed or pass an additional test on say a motor bike or HGV then you have to change. Pete
  9. I only have a paper licence, it's getting a bit tatty now though. Doesn't expire till 2019. Pete
  10. Aye, mine's been "finished" at least half a dozen times . Welcome to the world of Zed Pete
  11. Fitted some 15mm spacers from CS to the front wheels, needed to clear the brembo's but also improves the stance. A bit too close! I could just get a piece of paper folded in two between the wheels and the Brembos!! With Spacers.... Pete
  12. Am i drunk or high or is that one of the worst written articles ever, half of it makes no grammatical or logical sense. Yes, all the prices are in Euros so I guess the original article has been google translated into English without being proof read. Pete
  13. There's a Nismo version due out in June too. http://www.carskings.com/nissan-2/nissan-370z-facelift/ Pete

  16. A big thanks to CS for getting me some spacers for next day delivery Pete
  17. Probably the most annoying ad on TV. I hate ads where people shout at you . Pete
  18. Sounds feasible. Maybe he bought those standard wheels to put winter tyres on them? Anyway, loving the colour, Universal Silver is surprisingly rare on a 350Z. Pete
  19. No, that's a 276 registered in April 2006, so it'll be in the higher tax bracket. Pete
  20. Spotted me before I spotted him, got a few flashes and enthusiastic waves from a clean looking Azure at 5.30 this evening. Probably a fairly local car as the reg was CW54 **** (mine is CW55) Pete
  21. There's one for sale here. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/69789-blitz-style-rear-spoiler/ Follow the link in that thread and there's a picture of one on a roadster...looks quite nice. Pete
  22. Took a quick look at the My350z site and found 4 with over 200k on the clock, dozens with 100k plus. Pete
  23. Those LMGT4's are cheap compared to these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-x-20-BBS-RS-GT-Alloy-Wheels-Nankang-NS-2-Tyres-BMW-Z4-/400276093148?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item5d325078dc Pete
