  1. Been watching on Fox News, just announced they've arrested someone. Also reporting over 100 injured. Pete
  2. Makes sense really, I think his F1 days are numbered. Pete

What tyre pressures are you running? I find mine very noisy, on par with RE050A's 35 psi which I've double checked. Didn't have RE050's on before though, just some budget tyres Maxxis I think. Pete
  4. Mine comes on at 40 or just below. Pete

Just got these on Caroline's new wheels, is it me or are they very quiet? Pete
  6. It really depends on when it comes on. I was sitting in a traffic jam on a fairly steep hill when mine dropped from around 40 to --- in about a minute . I drove about 3 miles to get home. Next day when I started up it and on level ground it was reading in the 30's, so I'm guessing as much as 60 miles. Furthest I've ever gone is about 15 miles. Pete
  7. These are the sizes, a bit of a stretch on both front and rear. Would have thought that the TC would have been a bit confused as well. Pete Rota SVN 18x10 et.30 with 245.40.18 all round...
  8. No further action on drivers who used DRS under yellow flags. Guttieriez gets 5 place grid penalty for Bahrain. Pete
  9. Totally bland and forgettable . Pete
  10. Doesn't look like 45mms to me. On ET 30 rims they'd be sticking out quite a bit I would think. Pete
  11. Not his registration, I think it starts R11 Pete
  12. He's picked up a 3 place grid penalty for the next race too, causing an avoidable accident. Several other drivers under investigation too, including Vettel, Button, Grosjean for using DRS under yellow flags. Pete
  13. Betws-y-Coed will be full of Zed's in a few weeks time . Pete
  14. This is a picture of a tyre that had a blow out while I was driving it. As you can see the damage is on the inside of the tyre and right at the edge. This was caused by under inflation, I suspect a slow puncture as the car felt a bit odd about 5 miles before it blew. If you look at pictures of damaged tyres it would seem that most of them blow on the inside of the wheel which must be the part of the tyre that takes the biggest load. Pete
  15. I've just taken off some 20 inch Vertini Hennessey's although my car isn't lowered. Unless the back of the wheels have been drilled out you can't get hubcentric spacers on them without fitting a small spacer first. The ET on them is 35 and they're 8.5J. I had the occasional rub, I presumed it was on the arch rather than the suspension and I've just looked at the tyres and can't see any damage. Pete
  16. Yes, I see it now. Check the speed rating on the tyre sidewalls. Also check the pressures, should be 35 psi. Pete
  17. Welcome, best to use photobucket to upload your photos. That looks like a rubbing issue to me, the only thing I can think of is that it's catching the part that comes down from the suspension because it's been lowered too much. Usually, they rub on the outside of tyre on the wheel arch. Pete
  18. Glad you picked a few, gives me an excuse to expand my list . Yes, choosing one is really difficult but It'd be either Bill Shankly or Authur C Clarke. I've always been fascinated by mysteries so for my party Butch Cassidy, George Mallory and Amelia Earhart. Pete
  19. I've found that it's fairly accurate over thousands of miles. I kept records for the first 3,000 miles I did and it was pretty close, 0.8 mpg optimistic from memory. Pete
  20. Saw a few crazily low cars when I was in The States but saw hundreds like this and more extreme in many cases. For young American men these are the equivalent of our Citroen Saxo, etc . Pete

    Road Tax

Really....I was under the impression that the road tax was linked to the date of original registration no matter what country it was registered in. Pete
  22. Good post, I'm equally paranoid too . It really does amaze me when I see 40k BMW's and Mercs squeezing into small spaces between two old bangers. Women are the worst offenders, they'll drive around the car park looking for the closest space to the store entrance...I'm usually in the supermarket before them anyway. Pete
